[Feeling like a hypocrite]

I am a parent, my son is an adult . Now unless you plan to choose his or her life and make them wear diapers by your choice , you need to do the proper parental thing and potty train kids. So when you take the kid to school they will be able to use a restroom . Most schools will not take your kid until they are potty trained. I know when we started my son in kindergarten they asked is he potty trained, if not wait a year to start school . 

It should  be the Childs choice to wear diapers after the potty 🚽 training years average ages unless they have problems holding . Now if your kid finds out about you or your wife wearing etc. Then answer in very veg answers depending on the age. I am not sure what age you can get them to without having them see things like dirty diapers in the trash etc. Then you can say mommy has an issue and needs to wear diapers. I have read about families that never potty train, but that takes the choice away from the child. I don't think  it's hypocritical at all to wear for fun and train your kid to use the potty . If a child wets the bed till teen years then you don't punish them, you can say things like its a lot of laundry so then give them a choice wear a diaper to bed to help you, or show them how to put the sheets in the wash. I do know most families both parents work, so it's a way to help out, it should never be used as punishment to help out with the laundry for wet bed after  an age, of say 12 yrs? I was doing laundry and some cooking at age 10.

First off, sorry for the long time between posts, it's been almost a year! Still going strong with the untraining at night. A few things have happened.

- I have had several nights since the new year where I have had dreams of just randomly wetting my self, only to wake up to a wet diaper! (and a few times a wet bed). For a few days sitting up once that was easy, then lying down. No diapers. No underpants. Just strip down naked and I guess as my username suggests soak the sheets first on my back, then got use to doing it on my sides (both sides). Didn't bother laying on my front as that's not something I do when sleeping. My mattress is completely covered with a plastic covering (and I have 3 extra mattress covers) so this wasn't a big deal other than the time it takes to do it and time to clean it up. I obviously started doing quiet a bit more laundry but this really drove home the point consciously that a bed is just as good as a toilet. After about 3 weeks of doing this, I started introducing diapers into the same routine. Would start to fill the diapers which obviously (when they do their job well) cut down on the clean up after. 

-I have completely stopped carrying who knows about my bed wetting. At first I tried to hide everything when friends came over, but one of them discovered it last year and I was just like, it's a medical problem I've been working on (technically not a lie 🤣) and played it off as no big deal, so did they. Now I just leave my supplies in the closet and when people come over I don't really think about it anymore. 

My original goal was to be a complete bed wetting within 12 months (December of last year). So I didn't meet that goal, but that's okay. I'm still going strong and especially since the new year am very happy with the continued progress I've made. I am now hoping to continue to get increased wettings and remaining asleep when wet. 

I have thought about just soaking my sheets with water before going to bed to get used to the wet sensation so my body hopefully wouldn't even notice any longer if I had wet or dry, however the one time I tried this it was very unpleasant (obviously) and would probably take the most getting used to of anything I've done this far. 

I'll be back to update more frequently. I promise it will be less than a year until I post again! 
 

I Love your commitment . If I didn't have to worry about my wife not liking the old pee smells. I would do just as you did here, and go sit and pee, or lay and pee, But I wouldn't wash my bedding . I Love the old and new pee smells. So I some day will make a pee bed, that will smell like a kids bed that has peed every nite, without changing the bed.  Weather you wash your bedding , like you do or like I want to do. Keep up the good work.

Keep us updated , or me at least, I have similar issues , I need to pee and can't then I will dribble and spatter and or sometimes flood my diaper. I do try to pee in a clean restroom when out as to save flooding or changing my diaper, to save money mainly . But I have normal prostate. But I am on a lot of pain meds, morphine etc, for my back. Then I had a fall at a store a few weeks ago and hurt my lumbar more . I just put up with it. I don't like to get with a new Dr that I don't know, so if anyone has any luck with something working to keep a steady low flow, I am interested in what works.

I have small trash bags I keep one for each day, in the morning I tie it up toss it out in the trash bin, and that way my wife is not smelling it. We have our own trash bin that gets dumped onece a week.

I would Love to get my spare room setup so I can soak the bed. I think I can maintain the smell to that room. Any ideas on how to vent the smell outside ? Without a bunch of work or money? I can put a bathroom kind of exhaust fan if it without much work. I am gonna do a lot of re arranging this room to make stuff work. I have a very well protected mattress , it's invocare hospital mattress so no worries about damage to it. I just need to cover it with some good blankets or what ever to have a way to soak it up.

I have shared on DD before , I shared a room with my brother and step brother . I had stopped mostly peeing the bed by then age 10. They shared a king bed that was not nor had never been protected . It was wet always and never dried out. Well I was soo in Love with the smell, I got near that bed and got hard, I didn't understand what the getting aroused . I had a thought someone that slept in a wet bed all night every night when say over an age of maybe 10? I think they were more comfortable in the wet bed, I know o would be loving it to be able to sleep in a soaked bed. But if you try lay face down in bed with a good amount of bed Protection and padding to soak it up. Then relax and before you go to sleep, just let go and lay there and enjoy the warm wet, then if you wake up need to pee just let go, if you do this it could make your body and mind feel its ok to do it. It's just a thought 💭 and I wish I could do it. My wife is not one for the pee smell, so I keep the smell under control for her.

I am still in training after years. I wear 24/7, I just wet when I need to day or night, I have an idea for you what about putting on a very thin cheap diaper so for starters you may be able to trick you mind? I can't try this to see, because I don't sleep in a bed I sleep in my recliner so I diaper. But I have been getting more successful  I wake to pee and fall back to sleep while peeing . But if I sleep sound I don't wake up and when I do I am really wet. So just an idea.

When I'm wearing, I do laundry every other day, but each morning, I run the previous days diapers through the rinse & spin cycle and hang them up to dry. From what I can tell from the instructions that came with the washer, it uses about 8 gallons each time it fills up the tub. I also use the extra rinse during the wash, so that's about 40 gallons of water.

According to the Kill-A-Watt, running 2 rinse & spin cycles, 1 wash and 1 dry, we use about 0.51 KWH of electricity and my best guess on the gas meter is we're using about 1/8 an MCF of natural gas. The only way to know exactly, is to put a camera on the meter and count the number of times the 2 cubic feet dial spins around and I haven't done that yet.

Our electricity costs around 9.599 cents per KWH, the water costs $6.69 per thousand gallons and the natural gas costs about $5.918 per MCF. Oh, and the detergent costs about 15 cents per load.

Here's the totals:

• Electricity: 0.51 * .09599 = $0.05
• Water: 40 * 6.69 / 1000 = $0.27
• Gas: 125 * 5.918 / 1000 = $0.74
• Soap: $0.15
• Total: $1.20

The amount I spent on the cloth diapers, inserts and water proof pants back in 2018 was comparable to what I would have spent for 2 months of 24x7 use of disposables back then. Given that my ongoing cost is around 12 cents per diaper, I think I'll stick with cloth.

Now for the elephant in the room... labor. The whole wash/dry/put away process is about 2 1/2 hours long though my involvement is about a half hour of loading, transferring, unloading and putting away every other day. While the washer and dryer are running, I'm doing other things, but I have to be at home for that and that's a trade off I'm willing to make. If I had a 9 to 5 job away from home, I'd probably opt to keep using disposables.

 

I can't imagine having electric that cheap. We have a 3 tier level, and our low level is >33 cents a KWH. It has doubled here in the past 5 yrs, from about .16. cents. I have not done much math but I figured it's cheaper to do the disposable and put a cloth layer inside against my skin, that way I only have to wash that stuff 2 times a week. In the summer time I will hang out to dry, but the price of natural gas keeps going up also. The cost of mountain living..............

I Love the soy wetness of a full diaper. So I do wait as long as I can in my very wet diaper. But I got a rash about a month ago and I still have a few spots that don't want to heal.  So I can't stay as long as I want. I have the strongest hydrocortisone they make, and I use A&D ointment to coat. I have gone back and forth to heal it up.. I wish I could just lay naked in a bed and pee and pee and lay in it till I get up..

When we had moved to my dad's, we lived a block from the closest neighbor , and on 7 acres. So the clothes line would not matter . And the mattress my brothers slept on was a king so getting it downstairs would not bee easy so they did stand it up against the wall on occasion . I think to be a bed wetter and live in a close nit community would be a really bad thing to deal with as a kid.  My brothers were teased all the time. I wanted soo much to share that bed . With the divorce and all I could have started to pee the bed if I only knew then what I know know??? I could have had some of the soaked pee bed to sleep in....

We had moved in with my dad and step mom, her son peed the bed and already had it soaked , she didn't care about any of us, but she also went in for shock treatments at least once a year , and spent a few months there. So we really raised ourselves from when I was 10 on up. My mom had just gotten divorced from her second , and my dad was on his third I think 🤔 . They were all drunks, My dad worked 2 jobs so he was never home, until late night . All they did was open the window up and stand up the king size mattress against the wall and that wasn't very often . Maybe they thought 💭 if the boys got tied of the smell they would stop peeing the bed. I do know they didn't want to use beer money to fix a pee bed. Also our bedroom was upstairs and there's was downstairs .

I miss the smelly bed, but for my wife I keep things under control . But since our dog has taken over my side of our bed,  its not an issue , I can't sleep a normal night so for 4 plus yrs I have been sleeping in my recliner , see I sleep best around sun rise, and till noon if I can . You can probably see where this is going. I was slightly aware of the sounds my diaper was making as I said good morning crossing the room, though more concerned that the bulk of it might be noticeable, so I detoured around their substantial kitchen island, ostensibly to put a glass in their sink, but mostly to put it between me and her. But then, I had to go change my diaper in a bathroom right off the hall, right around the corner from where she was sitting. I went in there and turned on the fan, and then turned a tap on for background noise (and to wash my face), before ever-so-slowly pulling two tabs off on one side, so I could slide the diaper down. I'm usually thankful for those mighty MegaMax tabs, but not this time - it was hard to pull them off quietly. Then, I had to ball it up and put it into a plastic bag, and into my backpack, before putting on a Rearz BeDry (which I'm in now)... man, did unfolding and putting on that diaper sound loud to my ears. I know there were a lot of plasticky noises coming from the bathroom - I just hope that the fan and the running water obscured them, and that if she noticed anything, she assumed that I was manipulating my toiletries and towel out of and into a plastic bag. I had my backpack with me but I elected to carry the bag separately for my return trip across the main room, just to reinforce that I had a plastic bag with me, and let it bounce off my knee as I walked, to disguise any noise coming from my new diaper, which was still a bit stiff, having just been unfolded. 

Speaking of that backpack, it is my defacto diaper bag these days, but, about an hour ago, I was unexpectedly given a real diaper bag, by my wife. Her and my daughter were pulling suitcases out of the basement, and she started going through a tote of folded up bags that we have down there (my wife keeps everything), looking for a laptop bag for my daughter. What she found in there as well, was a diaper bag that we had used when my kids were still in diapers, and she brought it up to me and said, somewhat jokingly, "Here, I thought you could use this. Remember this bag? I think we bought it when (second daughter) was born, because the one we used for (first daughter) was too small. I used it as a purse for a while, too. Maybe it can be a diaper bag again, hmmm?"

I looked at it as she held it up, before taking it from her with a raised eyebrow. It wasn't obviously a diaper bag - it was actually branded "Jeep", of all things, and it was in shades of dun and dark blue, with a camo motif. The top flap of it could be folded over and had doubled-up layer underneath it that allowed it to extend out as a changing pad, which would not be of much use for anyone more than about 30 inches long, but, the pockets inside were big enough for a bin of wipes, baby powder, diaper cream, and the pocket for diapers was huge and closed separately with a zipper - it could conceal two or three decent diaper, easily. 

I have it on the floor of my bedroom, next to my bed right now. I am considering using it as my in-car diaper bag. It's kind of funny how it has been resurrected. I don't know if my wife was serious or not, but, I might follow her suggestion. 

I have used a very small bag for a lot of yrs , I just found a really nice bag and its almost the same as the pic , I have one like it I used to use for camping , I got it cheap, but people are using a very strong smelly stuff at the better second hand stores. I have a hard time getting rid of that smell, it came after the Covid stuff started . I really would Love to find out the best way to get that smell out of stuff. But in a month it may be ok, I have soaked it with Frebreze Baby sent. But even though it's better it's not gone, I also have a crib mattress that still has the small and I scrubbed it several times. The one bad thing about used stuff .  Since Covid.

I really wanted to start peeing the bed so I could share there king bed, and get the pee. on me. Our room had the pee smells all stages, but I had a twin bed across the room from them.

Our county is a mix, it's supposed to be legal, but some cities will bust you because the dumb laws are not the same across the state. And if I want to keep my pain Dr I have to go by him. See pot is legal in some states and some counties . But it's still Not legal with the Federal government , so you can be using pot and the feds can still come to your home and bust you. Look it up. Unless that has changed . But when the Feds are ok with it then my Dr can't test me. He can still drop me like a rock. And even bad pain meds are better than nothing at all. So you I can start a farm and grow my own, and just drop my Dr, but in my state it's still a messy thing the state feds and city don't play well at all.......
