I was nine or ten years old when I was put in the hospital for a bowel obstruction.
-
A five gallon pail with a tight fitting top works well in a pinch too.

Comficare M10, Northshore Supreme, Bambino Bianco or SecureX, Dry

I'm not aromantic or asexual, but I think I have a very similar layout in my brain.
-
I'm waiting to see a urologist about my dribbling too.

I did 18 large marshmallows and two bananas the other day... I won't even begin to describe the power of the urge to go that can't be held back!
-
I play around with caths and stents and have no infection

Thanks for the advice. I thought that going closer would be within the prostate area and that might restrict the flow?
Everyone's anatomy is different.

Haha it's a slippery slope once you start modifying foleys you're going to be making stents in no time!
-
Gerber, that is amazing... Where did you find the pictures?
-
So... Bambino Bianco is a white box Comficare... Or maybe vise-versa... Needless to say I was a bit surprised. Pretty much identical other than the lack of the printing on the front!

L14! Wait, are we just coming up with letter-number combinations, are are they supposed to make sense?
X2 ... Times two...

Sounds interesting! Please do keep us informed.
X2 on this one!

Thanks for the replies! I thought I was doing something wrong. My test with a plastic backed diaper made me understand why people on the forums talk about getting hot and sweaty wearing them. I think my next try will be the cloth-backed Tena Stretch Super or Ultra. No positioning problems and the stretchy sides look comfy.
I can't wear the plastic backed without feeling like I'm walking (or sleeping) in a sauna. It's amazing hot much warmer even the cloth backed ones make me feel.

Those start at 14Fr. That's why I was asking, as he says he used 8fr.

Where did you find these malecot catheters? Brand and part number?
-
When inserting a catheter, I can feel where it is at through the whole process, and can pinpoint each point with ease.
I am also finding that as time goes by, I can pass the outer sphincter and bladder neck much easier.

If I shave my lower regions, I get massive cysts that land me inthe ER. After dealing with one the size of a golf ball, I decided to just stick to trimming the hedges!
-
It has to be huge because stents encourage scar tissue to form which narrows the urethra. The large size offsets the narrowing. And yes it will permanently stretch your urethra, but no you will not feel it.
It won't hurt in the urethra, but if you had it in the external sphincter or the bladder neck I'm guessing that'd be a different story!
-
That stent is freaking huge. We are putting 14-24FR catheters in, for me an 18 is comfortable. That stent is 45fr, so needless to say it will stretch the bejesus out of the urethra. I suspect expanding the external sphincter to that degree would likely hurt like hell and probably leave it stretched...

I'm already on the wait list to get in. I can see lots of other doctors in an instant, I'm just really wanting to see my family physician because she knows me so well, and I know she will be honest about what will work for me and what is going to have side effects I won't tolerate. I'm not willing to live with erectile dysfunction or chronic constipation or a mouth so dry my teeth fall out. Hopefully we can find something that works and I can keep my diaper wearing to a recreational thing, but if that isn't the case I will wear 24/7 and still have a happy life.
-
Yeah I just really want to see my family doctor, it's worth the wait. If things change and it becomes painful or something I will go to a walk in clinic. Oh, I'm in Canada, it's free. :-)

I've been paying closer attention to timing and circumstances, and discovered that the instant I feel the urge, there is a small amount of leakage. I seem to be able to hold it back, but things like bending over to pick up something or pressing my abdomen at all will result in more leakage. It also intensifies the urge to go. Today I made it most of the day, but before dinner I had the urge to go and it was so intense I could hardly finish what I was working on. I stood up and I just couldn't hold it anymore. So I'm guessing it is really a mix of urge and stress incontinence. I'm not sure if that's a good thing for prognosis or not. Oh well, onwards and upwards...
Do incontinance supply stores exist any more? (Brick and mortar)

We have them in grocery stores (Tena, Depends, and usually a store brand), pharmacies (same but sometimes also have Attends).
