  1. Thanks for the replies! I thought I was doing something wrong. My test with a plastic backed diaper made me understand why people on the forums talk about getting hot and sweaty wearing them. I think my next try will be the cloth-backed Tena Stretch Super or Ultra. No positioning problems and the stretchy sides look comfy.

I can't wear the plastic backed without feeling like I'm walking (or sleeping) in a sauna. It's amazing hot much warmer even the cloth backed ones make me feel.

  2. If I shave my lower regions, I get massive cysts that land me inthe ER. After dealing with one the size of a golf ball, I decided to just stick to trimming the hedges!

  3. It has to be huge because stents encourage scar tissue to form which narrows the urethra. The large size offsets the narrowing. And yes it will permanently stretch your urethra, but no you will not feel it.

It won't hurt in the urethra, but if you had it in the external sphincter or the bladder neck I'm guessing that'd be a different story!

  4. That stent is freaking huge. We are putting 14-24FR catheters in, for me an 18 is comfortable. That stent is 45fr, so needless to say it will stretch the bejesus out of the urethra. I suspect expanding the external sphincter to that degree would likely hurt like hell and probably leave it stretched...

  5. I'm already on the wait list to get in. I can see lots of other doctors in an instant, I'm just really wanting to see my family physician because she knows me so well, and I know she will be honest about what will work for me and what is going to have side effects I won't tolerate. I'm not willing to live with erectile dysfunction or chronic constipation or a mouth so dry my teeth fall out. Hopefully we can find something that works and I can keep my diaper wearing to a recreational thing, but if that isn't the case I will wear 24/7 and still have a happy life.

  6. I've been paying closer attention to timing and circumstances, and discovered that the instant I feel the urge, there is a small amount of leakage. I seem to be able to hold it back, but things like bending over to pick up something or pressing my abdomen at all will result in more leakage. It also intensifies the urge to go. Today I made it most of the day, but before dinner I had the urge to go and it was so intense I could hardly finish what I was working on. I stood up and I just couldn't hold it anymore. So I'm guessing it is really a mix of urge and stress incontinence. I'm not sure if that's a good thing for prognosis or not. Oh well, onwards and upwards...
