  1. Has anyone ordered the "premium" brief lately? Curious how these are and how the sizing runs.... any info would be great .... thanks!
  2. Im not referring to flex or wing diapers.... http://www.dailydiapers.com/board/index.php?app=gallery&album=945 molicare and some other european diaper companies are going towards the wings being cloth and the center still plastic. Some of the ''air" briefs are of this nature.
  3. I wonder if they are doing like some of the other European brands, having the plastic center with the wings cloth like? I've been noticing this trend quite a bit too.
  4. I think it would be great to have a discussion on these.... they seem interesting indeed! I understand shipping all too well, I work for a major shipping company. Shipping costs never cease to amaze me...yikes! Anyhow, pictures of the actual product, close up pics, front and back, inside and out. Just curious how they really look. Are they stretchy at all? How thick are they really? Pics showing the thickness would be nice. Comparison pics with other diapers would be nice too. Anyhow, good luck again.
  5. I don't have a problem with what you're trying to do. Heck I considered doing it too. Too many people have begun to do this, so I don't see it being financially feasibe unless you get them wholesale. More power to you, it's freaking America, you're free to do pretty much whatever you want unless it's illegal. I kind of chuckled at your paper placement, but it didn't offend me. Your reasoning is fine for doing it, I always do due dilligence before I buy something anyhow. I don't think Bentley diapers are a secret, I stumbled across them when I searched "plastic diapers" on ebay a few months ago. I would like to see some more actual product photos either here, or posted in the gallery. I read through your blog or whatever it was. It would be nice to see the threads on this consolidated into one, I can't remember where I read what and then it takes forever to search. You should make an in depth thread in "Just diapers", that would be nice, with photos if possible. I would like to see if these diapers are any good. I could care less what you charge, I don't have a problem with that. If I knew I could buy something for $10 and sell it for $30, I think we all would do that. It's a freaking free market place, so I wish you the best of luck!
  6. Yeah I think you're right.... I knew it was diaper(something).org I remember when it closed down, I used to go to the site because of the diaper encyclopedia... and I do remember when it closed and transitioned to the site I originally posted above.
  7. diaperbook.org which is now diaperbook.com ..... it became a paysite for a while and now it's not. The content used to be better... lots of garbage on it but still some good stuff. I really like the "diaper encyclopedia" function, although its missing some of the original content of diaperbook.org.
  8. http://www.adisc.org/forum/members/bambinod-albums-fabines-day-1.html I googled for pics.... hope posting this link isn't some viotation since it's another forum link.... if so I apologize.... otherwise it was nice to see all the comparison pics....
  9. I had thought they went out of business as well. I really liked the premium brief. When dry247 came out, they were identical to the Mega careline premium brief. Are they the same as what they were 3-4 years ago? I would love to give them a shot again, they did absorb very well. The price is right too.... $86 or so for 72 diapers.... not bad at all.
  10. I've ordered from both places... xpmedical and dry247. I've learned to wait a bit until after the first batch is out. Probably no scientific reason to do this but I have had issues with both places. The first order I placed from dry247, had residue on several of the diapers that seemed to always be on the left side and the tape would come off the diaper. I would have occasional pinhole issues. The first batch I ordered from xpmedical.... several had pinholes, waistband issues, and yes the tapes were positioned very close to the bottom that made for an awkward fit. I've debated on ordering some of the newest ones but have only ordered samples. They seem a little better, but I havent tried enough of the new ones to give a conclusive opinion.
  11. this has already been beat to death in the rants and raves section or whatever its called......
  12. Size large.... Bam 48 ct case approx $79=$1.64 each dry 72 ct case approx $119=$1.65 each. Depends on what size.... Go to their respective websites get current pricing and do some math.
  13. I don't know the rest of your measurements or anything, but I would say no way would they fit. I'm taller, 38" and they fit ok but not great.
  14. Do the peach ones direct from dry 24/7 still have a front and rear waistband? The solid white ones don't anymore from xp, just curious.
  15. It's said the top half of that for months. The bottom half regarding the restock of mediums has been up for a few weeks. It's nothing new. They do a site maintenance thing either every Friday or Saturday night. I don't think anything ever changes. They should update product photos. As far as pinholes, yes I've had those issues too. I've had that issue with abena lately too. I think all diaper manufacturers are doing the same as other companies... Cutting costs where they can, using cheaper materials and what not. It's like bambino, IMHO they aren't the same size as they once were and don't fit as well. I also think their materials have gotten cheaper as well. Seems the plastic is thinner, and just don't fit like they used to. I don't think I've gotten that much fatter....LOL
  16. BTW that looks very similar to the size 6 pampers when they first came out. They were a bit thicker and more sturdy when they were first introduced. I miss those LOL
  17. Agreed ... Dry247.... I've tried a lot of brands LOL
  18. Agreed, and this was a problem with the last batch as well. Very disappointing because it performs well and the plastic is great. I've noticed the pinhole leak issue with abena and a few other brands as well here lately. The only brand I haven't had these issues with is molicare super plus.
  19. Also, if you look at my past posts I wrote a decent review on the abuniverse cushies. You might be able to transfer that over as well. It's in the just diapers section a couple months ago I think.
  20. Ok I'll do that. I work a ton of hours... I'll get some product only pics taken.... Upload to my computer then go somewhere with a fast connection this weekend and send them to you.
  21. If I can get to a decent internet connection I could submit pics. I live in the country, internet connection sucks. I have several of the diapers on your list. What's the time frame you need them by? I'd love to help, I'm super excited to see this type of system being put together.
  22. You're welcome on the review, been wanting to do it for a while, just haven't had time. Yes, I figure the slow shipping was due to the sale, I'm sure I'm not the only one that took advantage of it...LOL! No biggie... just made for that much more anticipation...
  23. Here's my quick take on Cushies... 1st, I bought them during the BOGO sale.... not entirely BOGO... although it says free shipping on orders over $100, you have to pay shipping on the free case. That being said, 160 diapers for $130.... that's a great buy, even if they don't absorb as much as Bambino and some of our other favorite thick diapers. 2nd, there were two things I was annoyed with, I think they only ship on Mondays. I ordered on Sunday, got the conformation email, then got an email on Monday saying they would need to take the full week to ship my order. Ok? This didn't make a lot of sense for me, but I am an understanding person, so a little disappointed, but I can deal with that... they did let me know they would ship next Monday...and they did and I had them on that Thursday, the following week of my initial order. I was a little aggrivated because when I placed my ordered I also ordered some of there plastic snap pants. They looked good, so I thought I'd give them a try. Well, I open my order, no plastic pants... then I look at the invoice, out of stock, amount refunded to your CC. I would've like to have known this in the emial when they told me my order was going to ship a week later. So, I can understand some people's complaints about customer service. This isn't a deal breaker for me to never order again, but ABU needs to look at there customer service a bit. These practices annoy others more than me being that I've always worked customer service, I have a tendancy to be more tolerable than the average bear. Packaging was discrete, and yes I too got candy... it's still in the box, I don't eat a lot of candy...LOL! 3rd, as far as the diaper itself, I was initiallly concerned about the fit. All the rumors about the fit being small, etc. which I guess it depends on how you view it. I can definitely see where they may not fit as well as two tape diapers, and so forth. I always like to go big, I'm tall. I am about 6'2" and weigh 220 or so....36" waist, so I always wear larges, my legs are big. Now, I did have to "mess" with the position of the big tape to get the best fit. Out of the box, you have to take a little different approach than the typical diaper we are used to. I found if I make the back a little higher than the front, place the tapes towards the top of the landing strip, and most definitely have the tapes taped in a slightly downward position, I get a lot better fit, less sagging, and they fit tighter overall. I have had NO issues yet with tapes popping off, breaking, ripping, etc. The plastic so far is very strong fron what I can tell. I put it too the test too, by pulling of it, poking it with my finger, etc. to see how much it will take before it'll break. Seem to be pretty strong, I like the feel and so forth, the inside is soft, and the outside is nice and smooth. My own opinion here, I could go without the excess "crinkle", it's kinda cool, but not my thing. A little is ok, but yes, these things crinkle...LOL! The more you use them though, the less they crinkle...makes sense, the fluff expands and fills up the plastic more. 4th, absorbancy. I have two different takes on this. I love the absorbancy of dry247. But how much is too much. I have found that Cushies in there natural state absorb ok. I'd say probably equivilant to Abena Supers or Molicare Supers..or so. Yes, they DO NOT absorb as good as Dry247, Bambino/Secure PLUSES, etc. However, during the BOGO sale, the price was significantly less than the Super versions of the other brands. Heck, they were cheaper than attends and depends, depending on where you buy them. The Cushies will absorb a decent amount without any booster assistance. One hard core wetting, or multiple small wettings, they well handle pretty well. Now, add a booster, wow, that makes these a lot of fun in my opinion. With the extra plastic for extra crinkle, this allows the plastic to expand more and accomodate the excessive amount of swell you get when you add a booster. This is amazing. I've also noticed they don't clumb really, and when you add a booster it helps keep the pee concentrated to a certain area of the diaper before it starts filling up the rest of the diaper. (I hope that makes sense, I know what I mean, but not for sure how to describe it...LOL) This is true for other brands as well, but this makes the Cushie a lot of fun. I have some of the Tranquility boosters that I picked up cheap off amazon or something, and they work great for this. 5th, fun factor..... in my opinion, they are a lot of fun for they diaper lover. I'm more a DL.... than AB honestly. I remember how I always wanted to come up with a single tape diaper for adults and this pretty much flips the bill. Sure, if I was making them, I would make them to where they absorb more in there natural state, and probably make the fit a little bigger for each size. They are pretty cool thought as they are. 6th, scent. I DID NOT opt for the scent. I think it would be awesome to have it, this would make a complete package. They price to add the scent, REDICULOUS in my opinion. An extra $40 for a case? WTF? I haven't done it yet, but I'll just order scented boosters from Bambino. If it was like $10 extra or something, I wouldn't have a problem to add it. They really need to rethink there scent prices. I personally think they would sell more scented diapers if they weren't so much more expensive. Overall, not a bad diaper, not a bad experience. There are things I like and dislike about every diaper out there. Each have there own qualities. There are things I dislike about Secure/Bambino too. I haven't ordered them in a while but the last time I did, they don't fit as well as they used to. I still have old versions to compare too. I didn't like the plastic on the last Bambino's and Secure Pluses I ordered either. But with ANY diaper, it seems like the plastic is different every time you order. So this is something I've come to expect unfortunately. I hope this review kinda helps, it's my own little opinion, I've tried a lot of different brands of diapers. I'm by no means an expert, but like to think I can give an unbiased opinion for everyone to read, I'm not getting a kickback for ABU or anyone else. However, I would gladly take one and give rave reviews from any company looking for someone to plug there diaper products....LOL!
  24. That's awesome! Lucky you lol! Curious to know if the QA is a little more consistent this time. I love these but when you never know if they have pin holes or no waistband, or if they'll tear, they become pointless to rely on. Let us know, thanks!
