  1. Well, lets start back 24 hours since something was messed up yesterday and I couldn't reply to any posts or send any messages.

6am Thursday 5-10-2024:  A Prevail lower end cloth backed diaper I got at Goodwill for less that $4 a package after getting my back massage Tuesday afternoon (and almost got hit by a tornado - just missed by less than an hour).  At least I was wearing a diaper Tuesday at my massage which would have come in extra handy in case I got the shit scared out of me from the tornado I was lucky enough to miss!  I got the severe warning on my phone and I actually saw a cloud starting to form a funnel.

6:30am today:  I have on a cloth backed Attends this morning for a couple of hours.  I would have gone with another Prevail but I put the bag way back in my closet yesterday and believe me, it's a chore just getting to my closet door!  Have to crawl over my bed to do it and that's not easy with the way my back has been this past week.

I sure hope it wasn't those meaty sneakers you posted the other day!

If they don't fit you can have them for Mothers Day dinner!

  3. Oh No!  I didn't get a chance to study!  Pop Quiz?

Since yesterday I had been unable to reply to any forum posts.  I couldn't even send a message on the site to any admin.  I did notify the admin through Diapermates and today it is fixed, but some strange things happened in the past 24+ hours.

Are they also available in other colors like gray and green?

Leave them sitting out on the counter for a couple of weeks and then you get grey and green.

  5. I was probably out of diapers at night by fall of 1964 and back then disposable diapers were all but unheard of.  Wasn't until later that decade Pampers started to be advertised on TV.  I think parents only used disposable diapers in the early 1960's if they were going to travel with a baby or toddler and from what I understand, disposable diapers were really poor quality back then.  Yup, when I was a young kid it was cloth diapers and plastic pants, the same as other kids my age who wet the bed or still wore diapers as an older kid.

  6. If night time counts, that would be me until almost age 6.  I was potty trained at the normal age and don't remember day diapers after age 2 but I remember being diapered for bed every night in cloth diapers and plastic pants in the early 1960's, even on vacations and staying at relatives houses on those trips.  Just like Goodnites and Underjams are used for todays kids who still bedwet, keeping a kid in diapers at night way back then in the 50's and 60's was a common thing although really not talked about like it is these days.  Everyone did it if their kid wet the bed and mothers may have talked about it among themselves when getting together, but that was about as open as it ever was.  No TV commercials about it like today.

Got up a few hours ago,  cleaned up the dog poo, cut the grass and changed a ventilation actuator in the car.

Was "Dog Poo" the only poo you had to clean up?  LOL!

Ahhh, the delivery finally arrived and I put on a Tykables Puppers diaper.  Very comfortable so far.

Or a Tykables Poopers diaper!  Glad you are liking the new Puppers diapers.

  8. Well, as of Tuesday morning I put on a Mega Inspire for the day after voting early morning, about 7:30am.  Changed out of it into a cloth diaper and plastic pants around 2pm (very wet and swollen) for a back massage appointment.  Did a little shopping afterwards and got home about 5:30pm, soaked.  I immediately put the cloth diaper and some other clothes in the washing machine and put on a Mega Inspire for the rest of the evening.  No diaper Wednesday as I had way too many things going on but this morning I'm spending a couple hours in a low end plastic backed Attends.  About 2 hours is all that diaper is good for without a booster, but that is all the time I have for diapers this morning.

  9. To clarify, I am not married and do not have a S.O.  I wear diapers maybe twice a week, sometimes more and usually just for 2 or 3 hours early morning.  I get diapers from thrift stores and Goodwill when they have them and pay about $3 to $4 for a package.  They are lower end store type brands that last about 3 hours with heavy wetting, but do the trick.  I do have premium diapers for sometimes all day wearing or once in a while if I decide to wear one to bed.  The premium diapers range around $32 to $42 a package depending on which brand and the top absorbency,  Like Mega Inspire or BeDry and Trest.  That was what I was getting at in my original post.  People that wear premium diapers just for fun, especially those that wear 24/7 can spend hundreds of dollars a month.  I'm just wondering if a wife or spouse complains or argues with you at the amount you spend each month on diapers for personal enjoyment.

  11. Unless you are really obvious about it like wearing adult baby clothes, baby print shirts with snap crotch shortalls and a pacifier in your mouth, no one will notice.  Everyone is wrapped up in their own world and last thing they will think is an adult is wearing diapers.  Last August I went on a solo vacation to Gettysburg and was 24/7 from the time I left home early Sunday morning until I got back late Friday afternoon.  I wore Betterdry, Abena L4 and Trest diapers with plastic pants over them and short legged shorts.  I went to Hershey Park one day, all the museums and tourist places among lots of people and no one noticed at all.  I did wear regular t-shirt onesies that kept my diaper in place and not allowing it to show out my pants if I bent down.

No one will notice and even if they might, they are strangers and they will think you wear them for medical needs.  They would just shrug it off as most people are not AB/DL and wouldn't get turned on at seeing another person in diapers under their clothing.  Even if they did see, they are not likely to come up to you and say something like, "I notice you are wearing diapers.  How come?"  Unless they are friends or people you may know that you run into when out and about, they are strangers you probably won't see again, so who cares if they might notice you have bulky pants or catch a glimpse of your diaper showing out the back of your pants if you bend down in a store or to tie your shoe?

  12. I may poop my diaper once or twice a month or so.  I do it at home when I have the house to myself.  I do not use internal deodorizers like Nullo, won't spend the money for something don't need when I may do it only once every 30 days.  Also don't do a Metamucil regiment for one or two days a month.  I do like most people do when cleaning up and use the detachable shower head, washcloth and soap and water to clean up.  I spread a copious amount of Vaseline all over my butt and diaper area before diapering when I know I will be dropping a load which makes cleaning it all off of me easier, but that doesn't mean I like the cleaning up process or dealing with the smell.  I deal with it because I do like the feeling of pushing out a load in my diaper now and then, but that doesn't mean I can't be turned off dealing with the aftermath when it comes time to change and clean up.

  13. After finding good quality material and purchasing it (probably a huge minimum amount required), the rest of the supplies like thread, elastic leg and waistband material and the time it takes for your labor it would probably be cheaper to just buy plastic pants unless you plan on mass producing them.  That doesn't even take into consideration the wasted material you throw away after cutting out your pattern.

Try the large in XP-5000.   Their sizing is weird, so I find that a large seems to come up as the same size as a medium 24/7.

Size large is what I wear.

  15. Sometime when I poop in my diaper I sit at my computer surfing Daily Diapers and Diapermates, chatting with people.  Other times when I poop in my diaper I do work around the house.  Cleaning up the kitchen, basement, other areas.  It's a nice feeling vacuuming the floors or cleaning up the house wearing a poopy diaper with plastic pants, feeling the load bump around inside your diaper or flattened out and stuck to your butt.

  16. Another cheap low end plastic backed Attends for a couple hours.  Just changed out of my InControl BeDry overnight diaper that was very wet but still could go for a few more hours.  Lasts me the whole night the rare times I wear diapers to bed and I wet a lot at night.  Better than the Betterdry I had sometimes wore for overnight use and for once I didn't have to get up 4 or 5 times during the night to pee in the toilet.
