Man in Wisconsin facing disorderly conduct charge for allegedly dumping multiple adult diapers on road

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A ‘stinky’ crime in Wisconsin resulted in numerous complaints to police officers and a man facing a disorderly conduct charge.

The Madison Police Department said it received several complaints from residents about adult diapers being found along city roadways.

One woman reportedly said she saw diapers being dumped near Wheeler Road and North Sherman Avenue in March. The same type of diapers were scattered in the areas between March and May.

Security video from local businesses helped police identify the suspect, who confessed to dumping the diapers while speaking to a detective.

Seems to refer to something from 2017, but article was posted this month.

EDIT:  Seems like it referrers to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRemfpdpaQU    -- basically shows a nursing home experience for dementia patients that a journalist experiences for documentary.  Put into anti-fall bed restraint, kept in adult pull-ups, bathed by nurses, put into anti-scratch / anti-grasp mitts, etc.

    • 20:37 - 21:25 - changed into adult pull-up diaper
    • 25:52 - 25:58 - adult pull-up exposed sitting in wheelchair
    • 28:32 - 28:40 - in bed in adult pull-up
    • 28:52 - 28:59   tossing / turning in bed, hand touching diaper pulling top down.
    • 31:50 - changed into adult pull-up after bed bath
    • 41:50 - 45:03 - 47:20 put into anti-scratch / anti-grasp mittens, has a cry about it later, spoon fed while in mittens.
    • 49:52 - 50:07 adult pull-up exposed sitting in wheelchair

HEADLINE: TV star wears adult nappies and is ‘tied to bed’ as shocking reality of care home exposed
BYLINE: A TV personality broke down as she was worn out by the "exhaustion, sleeplessness and dehumanisation" of life in a care home.

In a radical TV experiment, one presenter was “tied to her bed” and made to wear “adult diapers” in a Salvation Army nursing home. Anita Kapoor signed up to simulate an elderly person with “mild dementia, incontinence and difficulty swallowing” to investigate what life is like for millions of people across the world and to face the grim realities of life in a care home for her 2017 programme Anita’s Nursing Home Stay. The 70-minute documentary saw her check herself in to The Salvation Army’s Peacehaven Nursing Home in Singapore for two weeks. With 400 elderly residents at the time, Anita wanted to see what life was really like behind closed doors. She was confined to a wheelchair and treated exactly as a patient would be – including wearing adult nappies for a week. Anita Kapoor spent two weeks in a nursing home.

Sleeping in a six-bed ward, Anita was secured to her bed for several nights in a body jacket – used for preventing falls in high-risk patients. One still from the programme shows her being fed by a nurse with a paper bib around her neck and green mitts worn over her hands to prevent scratching. She wanted to undergo the “emotional and vulnerable” experience “to cast light on a subject matter that has remained in the dark for far too long.” But she found herself worn out by “exhaustion, sleeplessness and dehumanisation”.

She explained: “It’s weird to have your existence broken down to a bed, a bedside table, meals, interaction, and specific spaces.” When being bathed by a caregiver, she explained: “I was sluiced down like a pig… I don’t know how that experience could be nicer.”

When it came to food, she said “it’s just slop, lacking in taste, lacking in texture.” Being confined to a wheelchair made her excessively tired, with her confessing: “How long can you sit? I’m already tired and it’s… nine in the morning.”

HEADLINE: Rainn Wilson sparks backlash over ‘unkind’ post about adult diapers as fans say he should have kept it private
Byline: The Office star uploaded the controversial Instagram post over the weekend

Rainn Wilson has sparked major backlash online over an 'unkind' post about adult diapers - or nappies if you're in the UK.

The 59-year-old American actor, who rose to fame on The Office playing oddball Dwight Schrute from 2005 to 2013, took to Instagram over the weekend on Sunday (27 April) to share the post with his 3.7 million followers.  Wilson uploaded a snap of a box of adult diapers from the brand Depend featuring a man wearing them along with the caption: "Craig, good news! We got you a modelling gig! It’s for a big 'dependable' company too!" ... "And, more good news, they are going to let you keep your little moustache and beard! Also, big plus, you will not need to lose any weight for this gig. The only bad news is that if your friends and family ever see this particular photograph, they will never ever stop mocking you until the end of time."

The post has since been called out by critics in the comments, with one Instagram user slamming: "Disabled male adults have needs, sometimes this is one of them. Maybe don’t mock a product needed by many people to live with dignity."

A second penned: "Well maybe this picture will help a young man that is disabled be able to buy and wear these without feeling shame. There’s a lot of medical conditions that happen at all ages, and these are needed.

"I don’t find anything funny about this. This guy could be making someone less ashamed to buy. (Which there is no shame in needing them)."

And a third chimed in: "I do think it’s cool they got a young person to model!! This is a valuable product we need to destigmatise."

"I call them disposable briefs!!! Let’s not make them even more stigmatised. Great product. This post was not super kind btw!" echoed a fourth, while a fifth hit out: "Uh??? This ain’t it Rainn."

A sixth wrote: "I’m confused, are we making fun of adult diapers? I had to wear one to sleep for many years due to my endometriosis."

"This seems like the type of joke you send to your spicy private group chat and not post on your very popular Instagram account," quipped another.

And a final dismayed Instagram user added: "Oh wow. Was not expecting this. Punching down ain’t it."

Tyla has reached out to Rainn Wilson's representatives for comment.

HEADLINE: Soiled nappies dumped at South Tyneside nurseries by woman who climbed in bins for 'comfort'
BYLINE: Abbi Taylor, of South Shields, admitted depositing controlled waste at three nurseries in South Tyneside
PHOTO: Abbi Taylor pictured at Newcastle Crown Court.

    ARTICLE:

Soiled adult nappies were dumped at Tyneside nurseries by a defendant who climbed into clinical waste bins to find "comfort".

A court heard staff and parents at the nurseries were left horrified by the actions of Abbi Taylor, who also smeared excrement on milk bottles and on a fire escape of one of the nurseries. Taylor, who was born male but identifies as female and was referred to in court as a woman, pleaded guilty to three counts of depositing controlled waste at the South Tyneside nurseries.

The 46-year-old, from Newmarket Walk, South Shields, formerly known as Martin Tarling, also admitted stealing clinical waste bags from one of the businesses and breaching a criminal behaviour order previously imposed by Nottinghamshire Magistrates' Court which banned her from going near nurseries.

Newcastle Crown Court heard Taylor's Facebook profile featured her as a cartoon character wearing a nappy and referred to being an "adult baby diaper lover".

Jane Foley, prosecuting, said staff at a nursery in Cleadon noticed nappies had been dumped on the premises and in May 2023, a female member of staff saw Taylor exiting from one of the waste bins. Miss Foley said: "She saw a pair of legs climb out from inside the bin and run off."

The manager at a South Shields nursery reported seeing someone "raking around inside" one of the clinical waste bins in January 2023, the court heard. The staff member was shocked and Taylor ran away, Miss Foley said.

Staff at a nursery in Jarrow initially believed a rival business might be dumping waste on their premises, the court heard, when they found up to 50 soiled nappies on site. Excrement was smeared on milk bottles and the fire escape, Miss Foley said.

In April 2023, Nottinghamshire Magistrates imposed a three-year criminal behaviour order preventing Taylor from going within 100m of nurseries after she was convicted of causing harassment, alarm or distress at a local care provider.

Taylor was interviewed and admitted to going into a bin "to sleep and find comfort". The court was told of similar previous incidents going back to 2019.

A boss at one of the nurseries said: "The events were shocking and not easily forgotten. Myself and staff were coming in finding hundreds of nappies scattered in different coloured bags. It was really unsettling, we never knew what we were going to find.

"We had to pick them up, they were blocking the entrance and car park. It was really sinister. It's always in the back of my mind not knowing what to expect. No one should have to feel like that at work."

Businesses had suffered as a result of having to pay to improve security measures, the court was told.

Miss Foley said Taylor had "flagrantly disregarded the law". Recorder Richard Herrmann said he had seen photographs of the excrement on the milk bottles and the nappies "strewn around the car parks at times when parents must have been going to drop off their babies or toddlers".

He said: "It must have been absolutely horrifying to leave their children in that environment and go off to work," he said. The judge also considered the impact on nursery staff, saying: "It made them anxious, uncomfortable, unhappy going to work for months on end, not knowing what they were going to find."

Staff at one nursery were so concerned they went in pairs when going outside to put soiled waste into the bins.

Nick Lane, defending, said the case was highly unusual, adding: "Miss Taylor accepts going to childcare settings and entering the bins in order to gain comfort." He said the defendant had experienced trauma earlier in life, adding: "It seems through age regression, Miss Taylor says she found her release, her coping mechanism."

Recorder Herrmann acknowledged Taylor's troubled childhood, saying: "(Taylor) has a very unfortunate history."

Mr Lane said Taylor explained that she had no sexual interest in children, and some people with a fetish for nappies were yearning for an innocent, "simpler, more care-free time".

Mr Lane said Taylor was born male but identified as female, adding: "It is important to observe that this is not a recent development, because that is a concern that has been in the public arena for some time. The first recorded reference to this within the medical records goes back to 1993." He said identifying as a woman would increase Taylor's vulnerability if she was jailed.

Mr Lane said Taylor is in a relationship with a woman who she helps to live independently.

Taylor will be sentenced at a later date.

I wish I understood Portuguese. That is some weird sh*t.

Youtube can automatically translate content in other languages for you.  Click "Subtitles" then click "Settings" -> "Subtitles / Closed Captions" then choose "Auto Translate" and choose your preferred language (e.g. English).

Its not perfect and there will be a decent number of mistakes, but the context is normally clear enough.  An example of the kinds of mistakes would be if in a French video there was an "oof" sound, the auto-subtitle might think it means "oeuf" which then gets translated to "egg" in English.  Likewise confusion between similar words or rhymes.

  6. The screenshot above is from a clip in S02EP3 starting 03:41 mins in where the nurse is changing them.

There is also a very short clip of a diaper in S01EP2  (24:20 mins in the episode) with a different actor / patient, plus a reference to them "getting put in a diaper" earlier in the same episode.

The whole series is set in an Italian mental-health crisis ward.

  7. This is a reference to the 2012 Senate Intelligence Report on CIA torture of US prisoners.   A more recent article on the history is available on The Washington Independent.

In short, enforced diapering for long periods of time was one of 11 torture techniques deemed to be acceptable under the United States torture program that was used on suspected insurgents, terrorists, terrorist sympathisers, friends and families of those, and some random and simply unlucky folks.

  8. I recently (today) made a new topic / post linking a news article and documentary in the Diapers in the News  forum.  I can no longer see it.

As a guess,  someone on the moderation or admin team has deleted it, but I don't see any private message or other notification about it confirming this or the reason for the removal.

Nothing in the post seemed to be against any board rules I am aware of. I did double check the the various rule posts and still don't see any reason that would warrant its removal.

Failing that... seems like a fairly major bug in the forum software

  9. Bit old, but link here:  https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/dad-banned-seeing-children-due-26912416

I think I side with the court here for my personal opinion.  I expect there is more to the story, but even if its purely on face value, the fact he didn't stop wearing around his kids is pretty damming.  ..."They decided to end their relationship, after meeting in the mid-2000s, but agreed that if he would keep his odd fetish away from the children, they would share parenting duties."...  seems like he has broken the terms of the agreement and the mother is right.

  10. First, why not just use the handicapped toilet if its that much of an issue? Second, I've always thought of WC's as split by sex and not gender - i.e. use whatever one you currently have the genitals appropriate to - or look the most like. Be pragmatic about it: if a "normal" person looks at your face and clothes, do they think "man" (maybe in drag) or "woman"?

  11. I'm back in a technical job after years in sales so deep into some of this at the moment. Give me a shout if you have specific questions.

In short: I've got decades of experience with Linux/BSDs/AIX and the common middleware and application stacks you find on those platforms. I've designed and configured systems to scale from tens to millions of concurrent users. All the usual stuff both commercial and open-source: http servers (apache, iplanet, ihs, IIS), ftp servers (vsftpd, proftpd, ftp4iis), databases (Oracle, DB2, Informix, SQL Server, MySQL+forks, MongoDB, CouchDB, memcachd, Redis), app servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Oracle) and all the ancillary stuff: ntp, nfs/cifs/samba, LDAP/AD, kerberos/SPNEGO/SAML, SNMP, Xen/KVM/HyperV etc. etc. etc.

I can do the basics on a Windows system (e.g. set-up a reasonable AD forest, configure IIS securely, etc.) but I'm not an expert in Windows servers - just competent.

    As to:

  12. Not got them myself, but another ABDL couple I know have apparently ordered some and will give the little and I a few when we next meet up, assuming they have them delivered by then.
