  1. I had a chlamydia test once. That was bad enough. Ain't no mofo gonna shove no tube up there.
  2. Wow, you mean Starbucks coffee might stop sucking?
  3. Fun ending. Gotta feel bad for the poor kid, but fun ending anyway.
  4. Translation is definitely a big help. Now, suddenly, it's hysterical.
  5. I would very much start war over that one. You authorized them to send one set of flowers. They can't come back and charge you for their error, nor can they expect your mother to have known when the delivery man arrived that the second delivery was a mistake. I seriously doubt they'll attempt such a thing, seriously, but if they do, know ahead of time that it's completely illegal.
  6. Yeah, no kidding. My mother has (OMG) a picture of my naked butt lying on the bathroom floor, wearing an Abbott-style derby cap, still belted into my potty chair, fast asleep - and she has shown it (much to my chagrin) to many people, including former g/f's. CALL THE COPS! ARREST THAT WOMAN! PEDDLER OF PORNO!!!
  7. Luvs and Tara seem to be getting awfully uptight over nothing here. If it were illegal for a guy to talk/post about something weird that gave him an erection when he was under the age of 18, there wouldn't be enough prisons across the planet to hold the guilty. Back on topic, I can't say that I've had that direct experience, but then maybe my teachers weren't as hot as yours.
  8. So I should count myself fortunate that, despite my well-stocked beer gut, I have a cracker-ass?
  9. My viewpoint is this: The impact isn't exactly a chasm between the two, it's just different. Further, the last thing a new mother needs to add to the challenge and stress of handling a new baby is having to do an enormous amount more laundry because she's also washing diapers. Diaper services? Now you're adding more environmental impact, because they use industrial-grade cleaners, not to mention they're driving to your house every week for pickup and dropoff. You'd be surprised - by the time they're in that range of being ready to start potty training, they're also eating table food full time, which means they're producing much more formed (read: easier to clean up) stool. You probably came up just short of that point when you gave up and went disposable.
  10. Wow. Old woman dropping dead was huge. Can't wait for the next installment!
  11. With what you spend on doubled Assurance, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a premium brand that you can use 1 all day?
  12. Go with disposables the first year, you'll be glad you did, changing 6 or more a day, especially the first time you have to clean up a poopy cloth diaper. YUCK! I tried it with my son, and we lasted about 2 months before we said "f*** this". That said, when you want to gently encourage him/her to get interested in toilet training, switch to cloth. Kids hate the way they feel when wet/soiled in a cloth diaper, and they warm up quick to the idea of getting rid of it another way. Again, from experience. My son was nearly 4 and not even remotely interested in training when we switched back to cloth. The light bulb went off immediately as he begged his mother to change him the instant he was wet/soiled.
  13. All I can say is that was a HELL of an improvement over the several talk show debacles our community has experienced, particularly Tara Banks' crucifixion.
  14. One might say there's an autobiographical element to it, but the actual AB component is an exaggeration.
  15. So yeah, I'm about 1/3 deep into a very dark story centered around a man dealing with repressed memories of severe abuse as a child at the hands of his mother. It is not sexual in nature (no [That site] shit here), but it is pretty violent, and I've gotten some bad vibes from comments on other stories about how much stomach the DD community has for that sort of thing. Some thoughts one way or another would be cool from the community at large, before I begin posting it and discover the hostility the hard way.
  16. Wow, talk about bizarre - I'm actually working right now in between chapters (transcriptionist) and the patient that just came up was named Summer and she was 18.
  17. Fair enough. I'd like to offer a suggestion on how to improve it as a fantasy: Take a look in the DD collection (http://www.dailydiapers.com/content/stories.html) at Angela's Carole series which is a quite stellar fantasy serial similar to what you are (I think) trying to do here. Primary difference is that Angela leaves no detail out, and she effectively mixes in enough story-esque elements to create suspense from chapter to chapter. You don't necessarily need an overall plot to provide tension. All you need is some interesting mini-plots that carry us from one point to the next in the serial.
  18. It doesn't need to end as much as it needs to go somewhere. Right now it reads like a fantasy, not an actual story.
  19. Well, pretty much same as what I was saying, though I was trying to be a bit more tactful about it...
  20. After reading all 16 chapters so far, this is the one big empty hole I keep feeling. There is no tension, no conflict, nothing compelling, just day after day of Melissa acting infantile in various situations and her family smiling and embracing it. Give me some meat!
  21. I watched it a while ago (was posted on another non-DL site I frequent). 1) The beating was savage, and from what I have heard, it was for no other reason than TG peed standing up in the ladies' room, and an argument ensued. 2) So far, the one filming has been fired by the owner. 3) It's very, very difficult to create a culture of intervention when the company's stance is that you should allow someone with a weapon to rob the place. 4) That old woman is probably one of the last of a generation that believed in the idea of helping your fellow citizen for the sake of keeping the peace, because one never knows when it might be you getting the crap kicked out of you and wishing all the people watching would help you out.

    Nap Time!

Working from home and having serious concentration issues necessitate and enable me to take power naps (30 minutes) as necessary when I need a break from my (staring at a computer screen) job. Is it extra fun when I can pad up for them? You bet!
  23. Are you kidding? Lots of AB's would kill for a diaper that fit around their bellybutton (or just below it...) Dunno what to tell you. A stuffer would be the simplest solution.
  24. Give me a Bambino, but give me ABU's wrapping (much softer and more comfortable) and you've got a winner.
  25. As I mentioned in another unrelated thread, ABU is far from the only company out there exaggerating its sizing. I've attempted to strap on a Tena (small) that was supposed to fit up to a 36" waist and, despite the fact that I'm only a 33", I couldn't have gotten that thing on without packing tape to hold it together around the waist. I can't really speak to the experience you had with customer service, because I've not had any issues that necessitated me interfacing with their customer service after I ordered.
