  1. I tried AB many (MANY) years ago and could never really get into it either. Interestingly, I had a gf at the time who was rather getting into the AB but was not getting into the DL, but did put up with my DL. It's not my bag, but I'm fully understanding of those who want to be AB.
  2. I always use plastic pants unless I'm just lounging around the house or taking a cat nap. It helps keep things in place and prevents tapes from getting pulled off by clothing.
  3. Maybe this will help: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=videos+of+girls+wetting+their+diapers
  4. I don't know about you but I try to keep mine in my trousers For spares I use a backpack where I also keep my laptop, a change of clothes and other sundries.
  5. Ceramic tiles can be sharper than glass and can break without warning. One wrong fall while under the shower is all it takes. I got part of a grab bar and tile in me in the process of falling. I can't tell you how many stitches the OUTSIDE wound took because the doctor told me she quit counting after twenty.
  6. In the UK I believe it is illegal to smoke in your personal vehicle if it is used in your trade. (An extension of a "no smoking in the workplace" law)
  7. I'm glad to hear the news of recovery! Please keep the (good) updates coming!
  8. Is that an intentional pun? But anyway, I'm a self-service kind of guy. I don't want anyone but me having to deal with my piss and used diapers.
  9. Not one of my favourite topics, but here goes. Government spending when it comes to military actually produces a product. The biggest problem with defense spending is the bureaucracy. Defence spending helps the private sector in terms of spin-offs. Composite airframes (as found in the Boeing 787), GPS navigation and even digital photography were born with combat boots on. It stimulates the economy in that it enables stability in a dangerous world, outside of arms exports, that's pretty much the real extent of the stimulation. The US spends so much on defence due to the fact that a lot of the US has interests world wide, and a lot of countries ride the defence set forth by the US (with much defence spending being essentially discretionary for them). But to cut a rant short, defence spending only indirectly stimulates the economy save exports. Generic government spending doesn't help a damn thing! Do the US need no less than half a dozen bureaucrats to decide how large the lettering needs to be on a box of frozen veg (sadly, I'm not making up this case)? Does spending more for bureaucrats in the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management "stimulate" anything? Regulators added to various government departments often create complex conflicting and burdensome regulations. Sometimes good, but most of the time bad and over-reaching. I've been the victim in my line of work with two MASSIVE US laws, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and HIPPA. Sometimes these laws conflict and each one claims to be the most important. Legal at my company told me the only thing to do was make the best decision I could and hope the government doesn't come after me. I could be personally liable for choosing the "wrong" thing years down the road. (My specific instance is that HIPPA says I CAN'T keep a record and SOX says I MUST). That doesn't make anyone's life better. Government is often like a dinosaur in that the larger its body gets the smaller its brain gets. Government is most likely to get in the way and stimulate nothing other than bureaucrats' and lawyers' bank accounts.
  10. I had a puncture injury near my bladder and nerves and muscles have never been the same since
  11. "The bureaucratic mentality is the only constant in the universe." -Dr. Leonard H. McCoy All politicians are self serving liars who only have interest in putting themselves first and/or their agenda/"axe to grind" first. The only thing there is to argue about is degrees. Does society need a "safety net"? Yes, by and large we aspire to live in a compassionate society. I'm pretty sure the government isn't the best at providing this because the aforementioned gets in the way (and poor service too, the DMV, TSA, and IRS seem to illustrate this best). What is the alternative? I don't know (private charities?). But the incumbent (being government) is so entrenched in that role, that we'll have to deal with that until we have social change. To quote a Democrat (not that it really matters) Judge from whom I had the privilege of attending a lecture, "It's not government's job to provide services[, but] it is government's job to make sure services are provided." The people need to take their government back, have a (respectful!!!) dialect based on fact and reality rather than emotion or 'personal' deficit. A former president, in this case a Republican said, "Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty." Getting the power out of the hands of the "ruling" class[es] and into the people is the only way [wo]men can remain free to the extent that Americans have become accustomed. Unfortunately, this has been trending wrong in the US for MANY years (since the 1930's at least). The US government has done a lot of good since then, but there are always the political types that see modest regulation as a way to seize free thought and money from the common [wo]man. The only way to turn this tide is for people to wake up and get representatives that hand power back to the people, localities, communities and neighborhoods where it belongs. If it was that easy, I'd have figured out a way to do it, but alas progress eludes us. It's should be government's primary directive to protect the people, not run their lives.
  12. Our resident BioNerd is awesome isn't she The only thing I'd add is that I read a paper (at least 15 years ago now!) that stated a relation between human attraction between sexes and skin secretions. The point in the paper which stands out to me was that there was evidence to suggest that the olafaction reception was not related to human sex hormones themselves directly but their decomposition products as a result of various bacteria in the environment. There may have been subsequent research that says otherwise (I am running on some pretty outdated software), but this is what I remember. I've read hundreds (thousands?!?) of research papers since then, so this one must have been interesting in some other aspects to stick out in my mind... especially considering this wasn't even my field! As to the base (pun intended) question, urine odour can be influenced by not only diet, but metabolism (everyone's is different!), allergies, and in some cases environment (I know when I was technical SCUBA diving, my urine odour was different to normal for the better part of a day and the IANTD warned me accordingly in training).
  13. I'm glad she's trending in the right direction! Trend in the right direction a just little longer and you'll home before you know it. It doesn't matter how long it takes to climb the ladder, so long as you keep going up!
  14. Any new updates? I'm hoping for good news only, please!
  15. Be kind now, some of us aren't native English speakers and we do make mistakes which a child would find silly, but pobody's nerfect.
  16. I'm not clear whether you have 300w to spare or 300w total. If the latter, I'd go with an Nvidia 9500GT. It's a decent card and isn't a power pig. It also has 128 bit wide bus which makes a surprising speed difference over 64 bit. Not to mention the G96a/b has been around a while and is pretty solid. I've used this card to give Dell OptiPlex machines a decent punt in the underside.
  17. It's frustrating to me because I'd like to help stop this and protect the innocents, but I'm half an ocean away. Even if I wasn't I wouldn't know what to do to help or how to stop the feral youths reeking havoc. Some of the alternate media sources in the states seem to imply the rioters are Paki kids with an axe to grind. This whole situation is disgusting and giving the country a black eye. If this were to happen next year during the games, it would be catastrophic to the image of the UK world-wide. Don't these ugly kids have mums who taught them right from wrong? I'm hoping that in a short time cooler heads and common sense will prevail. I saw/heard this on youtube from the BBC: Do these girls really represent what's going on? In all seriousness, do they have some sort of mental deficit? How does the robbing and beating of innocents hurt "rich people"?
  18. As a Dutch expat, I really don't understand what's going on in The UK. Is it true that a lot of the so-called "protesters" (a media term in the US) are on the dole? From the interviews I've seen they seem to hate small business. Why is this? How is this a protest against the government (if that is the intent)? Wouldn't it be better to harass the politicians to bloody hell than injure innocents? I don't understand the whole thing... is it something in the British psyche? The last time I was in The UK I didn't see this attitude. I apoligise for my ignorance... maybe I've been in the states too long, but I must be missing something. Trying to make sense of the nonsensical I guess. Maybe some time in an Amsterdam cafe would do them well
  19. . My tips are to use a booster pad (I use Abena Abri-let) and point Mr. Peter O'Toole downwards towards the perineum. That might help as the boosters act as a wick.
  20. The first thought that came into my mind was, "I guess Peter Tork wouldn't wear a diaper if offered to him." Peter Tork in a diaper... that sounds like something I'd see during a bad drug reaction!
  21. I sometimes think I don't have an artistic bone in my body. I'm jealous of all of you with artistic talent. I guess cooking, if you could call that crafty. I like to make tasty but "budget" Asian food.
  22. Until I went on a cruise and made an arse of myself to a Canadian chap, I thought that was actually a Mary Jane leaf. I'd heard about the stories from Vancouver and all and thought Canada was like a larger "Amsterdam" and proud to show it to the world! That would be seriously "ballsy" and thought it would be so awesome for a country to display that. Ah, the active mind of a teenager. Anyway I was chatting with a Canadian chap who was at my table on a cruise about 15 years ago and found out that... well I made an arse of myself until he said, "You know, that's a MAPLE leaf on the flag?" As a kid, I spent a lot of time in Florida in an area that might as well have been Little Toronto during the winter months. There were more Canadian license plates than Florida ones... the local stores even sold Canadian Brands of cigarettes. The housing development where my gran lived had a Canadian flag out front (the Red Ensign), so I remember the old flag as a kid. I'm sure it was put up by an older chap that lived there. I'd go on walks with my gran and the flagpoles would be one of our waypoints as I would run as little children do, and she would walk slowly to catch up. It mysteriously changed one day in 1982. So, Canada in a strange way is a little special to me since I have both a fond childhood memory and remember making an arse out of myself... not many people in my life, let a lone a whole country can lay claim to that!
  23. I've been busy since 30 June, but I wish you a late Happy Canada Day/Bonne fête du Canada. I hope you all enjoyed your parades, barbeques and, well, being Canadian. Even the British Royals couldn't stay away... must have been a hell of a bash this year! I can remember back when it was Dominion Day and the flag was much more boring less cool in 1982 . As a kid growing up I thought Canada was the coolest country in the world, until at the age of 14 it was brought to my attention that the flag has a MAPLE leaf... oh, well! I still think the beaver is an awesome animal (pun intended? you decide!) and the beer is good. Congratulations and thanks for all you've done.
  24. Not to threadjack, but this is not the first time a diaper has caused problems. I remember a story about a year or so ago that a person who was incontinent and wearing a diaper was flagged by TSA for additional screening. They wanted to either x-ray or further examine the diaper and the person warned them of possible leakage. Well, as they were working with the diaper (I don't remember the exact details) the person urinated. This person was then thrown to the floor and charged with assault. As I said I can't remember the details like location, sex of the person, etc., but I remember the "assault" part and thinking to myself yet again why I gave up my Gold Aeroplan status!
