What Would You Do If You Found Your Job Posted Online?

I get that sort of reaction alot from the people who I employ when they find out my age. But Ive worked very hard for my position and those who disregard my yoof do tend to be quite successful. But then you can't change every ones opinion of "Im not taking lessons from a kid". OP, sounds like your boss has poor people management skills...or on the flip side you have poor perception skills. Regardless of how this turns out you should invest a little time in self evaluation as you may run the risk of getting stuck in a "rut". If its correct that he's done this before then he may well be doing it to either spark some debate or information from you and the rest of the workforce. In various ways. -
I believe all the old people complained becuase they are not "personal" so sainsburys took them out of most of their shops. So now everyone has to queue up behind some oap as they count their pennies and chat to the checkout assistant about how there is no longer a post office or bank for them to queue in at the same time as most people lunch hour to simply check a balance or buy a single stamp. Oh and decline the offer of help to pack yet give you a dodgy a look when you look like you're getting annoyed because they are still there when you are trying to buy and bag things.

What Would You Do If You Found Your Job Posted Online?
fluff replied to ldatsea's topic in The Rest of your Life!
If I found my job posted online or wherever I'd probably already know about it. But speaking as someone who recruits and trains people for a living, constantly recruiting in a company is a very good way to seperate the wheat from the chaff. Depending on what you do, try and prove your worth, step up to the plate and watch everything you do. Any firm (that wants to preserve itself) needs a reason to fire you, so don't give them one. And if you're sure you already have, start making inroads to a new job while still doing the best you can there. But don't whatever you do just throw your keys in without letting the situation. The reason for this ad may not be aimed at you. Company expansion, giving you assistance, promotion? Its not the end of the world. yet. -
