  1. I just got a used DeLorme PN-40 off of eBay for $130 and plan on starting to geocache Real Soon Now. Check out GroundSpeak.
  2. After my wife left for school this morning at 6 (they do NOT pay teachers enough!) I decided I wanted some baby time in bed. I gave myself a 2 ounce enema bulb of my favourite glycerine mix, pulled up my diaper, pulled up my cute plastic panties, slipped into a warm nightie, and snuggled up in the bed under a bunch of blankets. As I usually do, I held everything in for about 5 minutes to let the glycerine do its work (not an easy job!), and then relaxed. In about 3 minutes my entire focus was centered on my bottom. A few minutes more, and I slowly filled my diaper. I let the poop out on its own...no forcing. For the next couple of minutes, I'd feel some more come out, and then a flood of pee announced the end of that session. I was warm; I was empty; I was a all cozy in my bed. I drifted off to sleep until a bit after seven and cleaned up. Even now, 3 hours later, I'm still relaxed.
  3. I was sitting in the usual Big Blue Chair this morning drinking my coffee and reading the Science Tuesday section of the Times (after the Thursday "Eat!" section in the local paper, the weekly highlight of my post-breakfast read!) and I was thinking how comfortable it was to be sitting there with a diaper on 'neath my clothes. With all the weirdness of the Recently Banned Idiot, I thought the nice, comforting side of our, ummm, "quirkiness" should get some recognition. And that's just it... all of we diaper-wearers (save those that are wearing for medical-related incontinence) are a bit quirky. But in the cosmic scheme of things it a pretty benign quirkiness. And besides that... it means I don't have to go through the cold & storm from the office to the house if I have to pee! That's worth the price of admission right there.
  4. I tried an interesting experiment last night with my "Njoy" prostate stimulator". I used a spray-on coating like you use to cover the handle of tools. I then scraped off a bit at the tip (where it rubs near my prostate) and some on the handle (to connect to the stim pad). The other pad went on my penis. Power up! It was pretty amazing. I could take a LOT higher power and could really feel contractions inside me. I had to finish off manually, but it was grand. I'll have to go off my Zoloft for a while so my "failure to reach orgasm" side-effect goes away.
  5. Check out my gallery pictures: House Trashed and Rebuilt. Lots of before and after shots. Click on my teddy bear, and then look at the gallery tab.

    House Trashed and Rebuilt

My house got trashed back in March 2010. Here's pictures of the mess, the restoration, and the end.
  7. From the album: House Trashed and Rebuilt

We had old, energy-hog, lights. I replaced them with LED strips. Since these will last for over a decade, and the halogens burned out every 3 months, this will pay for itself in a half year.

Kitchen demolition. Looking down towards the family room.

Here's the basement...right under the kitchen. I've got my rock collection in here. This room was totally gutted and rebuilt.

The re-built dining room with its beautiful floor. This has been re-wallpapered.

I found a phone that I'd rescued somewhere in the past. It now sits in the kitchen where I can show the kids what "dialing" actually means. Yes, it works!

    Our gorgeous new marble floor!
  13. From the album: House Trashed and Rebuilt

The floor and plumbing up in the 3rd floor bathroom cracked. Here's what it looked like.

All done, except for the new set of bathtub faucets.

New marble floor! It's on top of in-floor heating. The cat spends most of her nights now sleeping on this floor.
  16. From the album: House Trashed and Rebuilt

When we jacked up the house the old plumbing cracked. At one point you could look down from the 3rd floor bathroom into the basement. This also shows one of the jacks that was used to lift the beams up.

The junk has been cleared and big dehumidifiers are trying to dry out the wall. The blue tile on the floor was ripped out.

Here's what the police saw. The tub is full with water and trash everywhere.

Since we had to jack up the house, we also had to replace ALL the plumbing. Here's the bottom of the world...putting in a new connection to the main sewer. That stove on the back wall dates from the 20's and has now been restored. I'll be using it to brew beer.
  20. From the album: House Trashed and Rebuilt

The old basement wall was right on the soil. We also had to reinforce it since this was right under where we were jacking things up.

From the album: House Trashed and Rebuilt

When the walls came out, the studs started sagging since they'd been cut through sometime in the 1920's. We had to put in a new wall, and jack up the whole center of the house.

When the wall was removed the old speaking tube came to light. It went back into the new wall, and I've just ordered a brass cover for it.

When the plumbing inspector looked at this he gasped! "I haven't seen those in YEARS! Can you save a chunk of that for me?" It all had to be replaced.

Another view of the old plumbing. There are probably 4 or 5 different vintages of piping in here.
