  1. I think you'll find many AB/DLs in general as awkward to deal with, not just babyfurs. Varying degrees of social inhibition are quite prevalent in the community. Myself I know tons of babyfurs who are among my best friends and are quite easy to approach and deal with in any normal setting. As for the whole 'Messing diapers at cons' thing, well I haven't heard any recent cases at any conventions for a few years. I myself have only gone to a few of them but they were among the largest of cons. To be perfectly honest I think only a fraction of those stories are genuine. I am pretty certain that at some point, some jerk who decided to be an exhibitionist of sorts, soiled his diapers in public. However there was just a huge rash of these occurrences over a seemingly small amount of time. And some of the tales themselves are a bit dubious (The one with the messy diaper in an elevator? Yeah that sounds like a framing of babyfurs.) XD There is a decent community. You just gotta know where to look. Most of the ones I'm closest to I met on Fur Affinity for instance. We tend to hang around Furry sites a little more then AB/DL sites, even if some of us lean more ab/dl then furry.
  2. I'd love to go. I only live a good hour & a half, or so, away. But I don't know anyone who's going. D:

    Meeting Furs

Sad that we must pay a price for our openess.
  4. Shouldn't be any surprise considering my fursona, but I always love seeing Stitch diapered. :3

    Meeting Furs

Best site I know for Furry ads is Pounced.org. It's not the same kind of social networking site as DiaperSpace is, but it works. :3
  6. Sorta off-topic, but, wow. Furries, and even some diaperfurs (furries who are DL's) complain about similar things in the fandom - as babyfurs are becoming the largest niche community. XD Anyway... Honestly, I've no explanation for it... Perhaps it's because it's more in-depth? I.e., it has more then just the fetish for diapers going for it: An Adult baby can have a diaper fetish but also engage in the age-play aspects. As well as utilize other paraphernalia. All to add to the experience. To AB's, the diapers are just an aspect. to DL's it's the focus (not that it's a bad focus ) - however the added content may be what fuels the adult baby's imaginations more?
  7. Haha, sounds cool. I'd move there. Although I bet it would smell a little... funky.
  8. Wish I could. But not this year. Most possibly 2010 though. :3 Deffinitly interested in seeing what the Cubhouse is all about. Hopefully there's no harresment of babyfurs, as it seems there's growing resentment from a few others in the fandom over things that have occured in past cons.

    Con Advice

What's the name of the con? I've never been to one, but I can say confidently that there are plenty of babyfurs/diaperfurs who attend most of them. The larger ones especially. They usually have a whole suite booked for babyfurs (C'ubhouse or Nusery) to hang out in. Also, babyfurs make up one of the largest clicks in the furry fandom, so we're actually pretty prevalent in our community by comparison.
  10. I concur. I know forced labor brings to mind a bunch of convicts in chains by the roadside digging ditches in Mississippi (Life, anyone? ). But having convicts do manual civic work would not only improve communities, but it'd give some reason for taxpayers to have to support them instead of just paying the state to shelter, cloth and feed guys who just sit around, lift weights and beat on each other.
  11. Actually it's much cheaper because then taxpayers don't have to support the convict. Regardless, I do agree that the death penalty isn't necessary.

    Second Life

I just made an account. Seems pretty neat. Was wondering if anyone wanted to show a fellow diaper/baby fur the ropes. If not thats ok, I'll figure it out one way or another. XD
  13. Actually his views are far less biased then you would think, and he did study the world’s major religions as a theologian, so he had a grasp on understanding them. :3
  14. To break that down using another quote of his: "I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." ~ Ghandi Just a comment on that: He didn't mean that Christians should be completely like Jesus and shoulder all his burdens and whatnot. He said that in the context of the above quote by Creepymouse. - Which is why I suppose it's better to quote that over the one I posted regardless of simplicity, as it avoids misconception.
  15. Hah, it seems so, saddly. I would just like to add that I too am a humanist, have been for a few years. Best thing about it is it's purely a philosophic view, not institutional. My personal beliefs in the way of theism are something more along the lines of what Einstein believed: That there may perhaps be a God, but his scope as a creator is far to vast to be a personal one. The question of scientific determinism gave rise to questions about Einstein's position on theological determinism, and whether or not he believed in a God. In 1929, Einstein told Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein "I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind." In a 1950 letter to M. Berkowitz, Einstein stated that "My position concerning God is that of an agnostic. I am convinced that a vivid consciousness of the primary importance of moral principles for the betterment and ennoblement of life does not need the idea of a law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and punishment." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einstein#Religious_views
  16. I'm sort of a mix on that. While I don't really feel a deep need to explain to myself why I like being an AB so that I can somehow feel better about it, I do have a very strong natural curiosity and I look for the answers because I'm not content in not knowing as much as I can. In fact, I almost always have a web browser open to Wikipedia just because I'm constantly questioning every little thing that pops into my head. Introspection is quite important to humans, the ability to think about your emotions and yourself, if we didn't have it we just may not be quite as intelligent as we all are. However that doesn't mean we all need to think deeply about every little thing we like, it's just one of a great many curiosities and interests some of us take to in a universe that is chalk-full of them.
  17. My username is a shorter (and cuter) version of my email name; Jimperator. I just took the Roman title Imperator and added a J (as my first name is Jim - haha, I'm so witty ). Imperator directly translates to ruler, commander and emperor. It's where the latter word actually stems. So because Emperors trump kings, princes and princesses, I believe that *I* should be on top. *Noobie is promptly pelted with tomatoes and a diaper or two*
  18. I don't quite understand the reasoning here. I didn't grow up using computers, I liked (and still enjoy) sports. Though I was indeed shy in my youth (but to suggest all kids who are shy become AB/DLs would be a bit of a gross exaggeration I think). If the gist of your assertion is that AB/DLs are mentally repressed and in a sense, weak, so that they find regressing or just wearing diapers brings them much needed comfort and stress relief, then I agree, to a point. However I would point out there are plenty of diaper lovers who just love the sexual fetishism inherent in the diaper as an object itself. I in no way mean to be insensitive to your spiritual beliefs (if indeed that's what they are) but I tend to think the paraphilia stems from a multitude of psychological aspects that may entail (but does not require); emotional frailty or emotional abuse as well as diaper-discipline during ages of adolescence (often post-potty training) which serves as a sort of encouragement for future behavior. There are numerous more underlying factors buried in our subconscious that would be needed to piece together the puzzle of why people become ABs and DLs. Things such as yearning for ones mother. The bond between mother and infant is unmistakably strong and it starts in the womb. The maternal figure is a caretaking one; as such acting out fantasies of being a baby may just be a subconscious desire to attain that original phase of life: the carefree harmony of babyhood. Im certain one could fill a psychology book on WHY we are what we are. But there is just so much to sift through that you may think you have found a sort of universal link, only to see it's not the case. There are many paths to becoming an AB/DLs and while we all share commonalities, the trails taken have been unique to our individual experiences in life.
  19. Just don't link him to the front page, at least not with that Phone a Mommy advert there. "Did baby make a poopie? Mommy will change your diapy!" ^ Not quite the best introduction to the community if you're looking to make a good impression.
  20. Wow, I feel bad for that guy, being posted up and laughed at like that. And yes I fully agree with you. I think most AB/DLs recognize their fetish is strange and people WILL mock it. I understand wanting to overturn the ignorance, it'd be great if we could. But it's sadly never going to happen I don't think, not with the way society functions.
  21. Its fun, I like it more than wetting actually. Smell never bothers me (after a few minutes you become desensitized anyway) - the cleanup is really the only problem. Not that I'd mind it but still living at home, even in your own room... It can be a bit of a pain just having to sneak around really. Otherwise I likes a messy diapee.
  22. Looks cute! Jade rocks. X3
  23. The furry community has been trying to do similar for years. It sadly hasn't worked. That’s because all it takes is one weird or brow-raising image or content to pop up and those impressions stick. Paraphilic infantilism would be no different I don't think. For most people it's a fetish and those who don't have it and are exposed generally look disfavorably upon it. It would take allot for a subculture to gain acceptance, and any progress would be fragile, particularly so when people think we're all pedophiles, blah. I say it should stay underground. But good luck to ya.
