I'm an American, and I've always preferred the word diapers. I don't think I could get used to calling them anything else. An interesting note about the word nappies-- the French use the word "une couche". In French, the verb "couche" ("coucher," actually) means to go to bed, in other words to take a nap. So...both UK and French versions involve taking a nap or nappies or what have you. I don't know any other languages, but it would be interesting to know how the words are related, if anyone knows. I just thought it was kind of cool. Diapers for life!

I can remember being 3 or 4 years old and fantasizing about wearing diapers and wetting and being changed. It was something I always liked the idea of. It seemed wonderful to be fawned over and looked after and cared for like that. Every night, before I went to sleep, in my head, I would tell myself wonderful fantasy stories about being turned back into a baby and having everyone around care for me. That kept up until I was around 11 or 12, which is when I found out there were others like me. I've felt a lot better about it ever since, and not knowing exactly why I do it doesn't bother me anymore, since I know there are others out there.

I like disposables because I like the way they sound-- I love the crinkling and rustling. But, I like them to be so thick that I can't close my legs and it's hard to walk. So, I like to put multiple diapers on to make it thicker.

I totally agree with your first point. That's the reason I've never told my best friend. She and I have had discussions about fetishes and all that before, and mostly, all she has expressed is a desire not to know about other people's lifestyle choices. So, I've decided not to tell her, for her sake and in accordance with her wishes. Some people just don't want to know.

I hide my diapers under a reclining chair in my room. It's not the safest place, but the chair's kinda broken, so no one ever reclines in it. But, I'm too scared to wear them out in public. Don't wanna get caught. I have told my sister, and she was really nice about it and understanding. Other than that, I haven't told anybody. So, I'm definitely a shy baby.

Hi to all. I have been a diaper lover for a long time now but have been really quiet about it. Even when I found out there were others like me (thank god for the internet), I was still nervous/ashamed of it. But, not any more. I'm trying to come out of my shell by putting myself more out there to try and connect with others and maybe feel more secure.
