  1. I do it more often because I did find a way to handle the smell . I started looking around for plastic/rubber pants that would actually seal against my skin. I stumbled onto AC Medical and asked around in the forums about them. Feedback was kinda mediocre, but the complaints had more to do with their website and/or ship times than any issue with the product, and nobody reported that they'd gotten "burned" by them. I decided to give them a shot. I bought a couple pairs of their latex pants several months ago, and couldn't be any happier. They're a bit of a pain to wash, because the latex sticks to itself as it air dries, but the pants work great. I roll the waist band into the top of my diaper, and it makes an airtight seal. There's zero smell. It obviously doesn't help with the stench of clean up, but it completely kills the issue before then. Note: I have no association with AC whatsoever. I'm just a happy customer.
  2. Precisely. Can't complain about a company following the rules, especially since they explicitly state they'll be doing so.
  3. Thought I'd post a follow up: I decided to roll the dice and order from AC. Overall, I'm extremely happy. The only negative at all is that the packaging is not particularly discrete. My latex pants arrived in a plain brown envelope, but were clearly labeled "medical undergarments." AC did, however, clearly state that that's how they ship, so I did expect and accept it. The pants are awesome. They're a little on the thin side, and you need to be careful about lube/skin protectant choice because they are latex, but the fit is unreal. They seal against skin so well that even, uh, soiled, no unwanted odors escape. I have to admit, that was my primary interest in these, and they don't disappoint. Sadly, they do absorb some odor and I haven't found a good way to clean them yet. I'm still experimenting. As I said, I'm quite happy with AC, both from a product standpoint and a customer service view. I'd readily recommend them.
  4. I've succeeded in keeping the bed dry even after drinking heavily (not necessarily alcohol) by doubling up on Bambinos. I cut inch or so long slits in multiple rows in the inner one and then put a second over the top. Boosters don't work for me at night. The problem isn't the absorbancy, it's that, uh, liquid, escapes at the sides where the diaper is taped. By doubling up, when it escapes the inner it gets trapped by the outer. Personally, I've never had a leak this way...
  5. I don't have a good guess as to the day/night question... I haven't stumbled across those comments, actually. I havent used a straight cath, but Foleys are a lot softer and more flexible. I would imagine the difference in comfort to be significant. On a related note, someone here suggested StrataSI catheters for comfort, and I ordered batch. Previously I'd tried Bardex and a German brand, both Silicone coated latex. The StrataSI is a major improvement. Most of the time, I don't know its there. I haven't tried anything beyond about 36 hours, and don't know that I will, but I'd definitely recommend giving the Strata's a shot. Do yourself a favor and order the sterile insertion trays too. Makes things a lot easier and cleaner...
  6. < SNIP > Mother of God... Please don't do this! I get freaked out about infection using sterile medical catheters. The risk of infection is absolutely real, and if it reaches your kidneys can be extremely serious or even fatal. You have no idea what mold release chemicals, plasticizers, curing agents, etc., went into the manufacture of that USB cable, or any other non-medical device for that matter. Many of them are made in parts of the world where quality control isn't exactly first priority. I've ordered medical grade, sterile, catheters and insertion trays from three different suppliers now. Not one of them has asked for a prescription. One of them is a fetish site, for Pete's sake. The other two look to be legit medical suppliers, but if you read the product reviews on their pages it's clear that not all of their users are medically in need... You can buy the "right" thing for less than $3.00/ea. If you decide that making your own medical devices for internal use is easier/more cost effective, make sure you're in close proximity to medical care and may God have mercy on your soul.
  7. Yeah, and all that manipulation on the bathroom sink surface... I'm thinking sanitized surface covered by sterile surgical drape, autoclaved tools, sterile sutures, cold sanatizing solution (ie Milton), and a clean working room with minimal airflow... Even then I'm still more than a little concerned...
  8. I have to admit... I'm very intrigued. I think I'm going to have to do some heavy thinking on how to do that with something approaching aseptic technique, and the idea of losing/breaking that string scares the hell out of me... Things to ponder, but I really like the concept
  9. I ordered my 1st pack from Team MEO, a fetish company. They're located in Germany, but I'd ordered other things from them before so I had some trust in them. I just now ordered a 2nd pack from KCK Medical. This time I also ordered plugs and insertion trays. You can find MEO here And KCK Medical here I can't actually endorse KCK just yet, since I haven't received my order (placed tonight). I will also warn that MEO is slow. I've ordered twice. Both times were multi-week waits, but both orders did eventually arrive and both were => expectations...
  10. Well, I've also taken the (probably misguided) plunge and tried catheter play for the first time this week. I like it... I've actually done it 3 times over the course of the week, with the longest go a little under 24 hours. I just ordered another pack of caths and a leather punch. I'm interested in giving the mod a shot.
  11. Ok. After taking another look at the fetware site, I'm obviously remembering something else, lol. They're definitely ABDL oriented. Still don't see something that looks quite like AC's latex pants though. I'll keep digging.
  12. Ordering online doesn't bother me a lick, as long as the business looks up to snuff. I've been shopping online since Amazon launched. I'be been buying diapers online for at least a few years. I like North Shore Care, XP Medical, HDIS, and Bambinos. Bettypooh, I'll have to take a closer look around eBay. I like the AC Medical pant because it's obviously intended as a diaper cover. It comes up high enough and has enough room the the seat to accomodate a diaper. The Fetware stuff I've seen so far is more fashion/non-diaper fetish looking.
  13. Tell her the truth. Find a way to do it that's light, humerous, perhaps self-depricating, but do it. You've been together 2 1/2 years. If this is something with a future, you need to deal with this "issue." If it doesn't work out, she's the wrong "one." I've told 2 girlfriends. I can't imagine considering marriage to someone who didn't know my "interests..."
  14. I'm interested in AC Medical's latex pants, but I'm concerned about several things: The company is for sale Purchasing online requries sending them an email and then initiating a paypal pament Overall look/feel of their website isn't terribly professional Does anyone have any personal experience with AC Medical? Are there alternative sources for their latex pants?
  15. My wife likes the term "fancy pants." Works for me.
