I think you'll have to use catheters and a leg bag for a few days until it heals. The external caths look like a condom with an opening on the end to hook up to a hose, which then hooks to the leg bag. They stick to your penis with adhesive. Or you could use an internal foley cath, again, hooked up to a leg bag. If you're incontinent, you're doctor can help you decide which kind will work best for you. I'm surprised the doc did not already recommend caths for your incontinence, most doctors steer guys away from diapers, due to possible problems with skin irritation. (ummm, diaper rash.)

Phil... You might want to add cranberry juice to your diet also. The acidity of cranberry juice stops many UTI's from developing. I like to play with catheters to give myself temporary incontinence, and in the beginning, I got several UTI's. (Which is exactly why many people will strongly discourage playing with catheters..) After having a few painful UTI's, I started drinking cranberry juice instead of my regular orange juice, and I no longer have any problems. Just Google "Cranberry juice" and you will see what I mean.

I also vote for a single tape diaper. I have found that the lower tape gives me trouble when I kneel down or sit sometimes... it tends to bite into my thigh. Often I just use the top tapes, and fold the lower tapes up and under the plastic. If they made the diapers with just one tape that was about as wide as the two tapes put side by side, it would look more babyish, and the material cost would not be any higher.

Make yourself a "Nail Paddle" like I did. I got a piece of wood, called a 1 x 4. It's actually about 3/4 inch thick by 3.5 inch wide and about a foot long. (cut to the length you want..) Then I take 1.25 inch finish nails and pound them thru one end of the board, in an area about 3 x 3 inches. Space them about 1/4 inch apart. Now you have a paddle to "smack" your disposable diaper with, thus perferating the plastic backing alot quicker than with a single pin or needle. Using this, the gel does not fall thru the diaper.

Hello to all Bambino diaper users! I have a question I hope someone can answer for me. I am about to order my first bambino diapers. I have a 34 inch waist. My question is for those diaper wearers who are also 34" waist... How does the medium Bambino fit? Does the diaper wrap around far enough to secure the tapes in the front? Or do they just reach the sides of the front of the diaper? I ask this because I usually buy size medium of any disposable diaper I wear. However, I have found some brands of size medium diapers where the tapes on the back panel barely reach the sides of the front panel. This makes for a uncomfortable fit and contributes to easier leakage. Thanks for any info you can give me! I'm really looking forward to wearing this super diaper!
