Thomas met Mie Chan when she was only thirteen. He was a volunteer medical responder and one day he responded to a call about a fifteen year old female with Cerebral Palsy having a seizure. Tom and his partner arrived on scene and were told that the child was laying on her bedroom floor. They went to her and immediately started their assessment before the ambulance got there. Mie was present the whole time and would not leave her sisters side until the ambulance came and took her to the hospital where she was treated and then released a few days later.

About five or six months later they had a repeat call to the same addre3ss. The fifteen year old taken to the hospital where more tests were done on her before being released a week later. Several months later Tom ran into Mie at the local grocery store. She recognized him, thanked him for saving her big sister and then started asking him all kinds of questions about his job. He answered them and they talked for over twenty minutes before he had to leave.

Tom would teach first aid classes twice a month at the high school on Saturdays. When Mie was about sixteen she signed up for one of the classes. Mie had a thirst for knowledge and she would sign up for all of Tom’s first aid courses. She started with the basic first aid class and then took the more advanced classes as she got older. When she turned eighteen she applied for, took the exam and passed the Emergency Medical Responder course. She joined the local squad and was quite good.

One afternoon, several years later. Mie asked Tom if he would come to her stand-up routine at the local theater. She would be there almost every Friday night doing her act.

“Hey Tom. You know I’ve been doing my comedy routine down at the theater on Fridays right?” she asked one night after their meeting.

“Yeah. I’ve been meaning to get down there and see it,” he said.

“Great. This Friday I’m doing a brand new routine and I really want you to come see it. I’ll pick you up at your place around six thirty so you won’t even have to drive. What do you say?” she asked.

“Alright I’ll come,” he said.

“Thanks old man,” she said and then gave him a peck on the cheek before running out the door.

Tom let the old man remark slide, after all he was sixty and Mie was just twenty-two. Mie showed up early to pick Tom up. She wanted to give him a heads up about her new act. They talked as she drove.

“I’m going to be doing a commentary on life. But here’s the rub. I’m going to be doing it from the perspective of a two years old,” Mie explained.

“It sort of sounds like what Lilly Tomlin did on Laugh-In,” Tom offered.

“Lilly who? Laugh what?” Mie asked and then started laughing. “I know right? I’ve watched some of those old shows on retro TV. That’s where I got my idea from. I’ll bet you didn’t think I knew who you were talking about huh?” she stated.

“The thought had crossed my mind as soon as I said it, yes. I didn’t think you young kids watched that old stuff,” Tom said.

“Some of us are. But seriously now. I need to ask you something and I’m sorry for springing it on you at the last minute. But I want you to help me during my act,” Mie explained.

“Help you how,” he asked wondering what she had in store for him.

“I need a nanny. Someone to help get me set up at the beginning of my act. And then put me to bed at the conclusion of my act. I’ll tell you everything you need to know on the way there. And don’t worry. You don’t have to say a word all the while that you’re sitting there. Just pick me up and put me in the bed when I’m finished,” Mie explained.

“I’m not dressed to be a nanny tonight...” he started to explain.

“That’s okay. I have all the things we need at the theater in my dressing room. How about it? You gonna help a girl out?” she said as she parked behind the theater.

“What the heck. Okay, I’ll help you out,” he said as they entered the back door.

“Oh thank you Tom. You’re the best,” Mie stated.

They had about fourty five minutes before her act and she explained to Tom all that he had to do.

“Go behind that screen, strip and then put this on. If you need any help just let me know,” she said and then handed him a garment bag.

“Right,” he said as he removed his clothes.

Tom opened the garment bag and found a pair of heavy white tights and a white nurses uniform. He didn’t say a word. He put on the tights and then stepped into the nurses dress and pulled it up and over his shoulders. He couldn’t quite get it zipped up.

“I could use a little help about now,” he stated

“Okay Tom. Turn around and let me have a look at you,” she said after she zipped him into the dress.

He turned around and then gasped. Mie was standing there naked as a Jay bird. She started giggling.

“What? Is there something wrong with my dress?” he said before he started laughing as well.

“Nope. Not a thing. Looks fine. Now come and give me a hand with my costume and then we’ll get started on your make-up,” she said.

Mie had this heavy synthetic rubber leotard that, when worn, hid her breasts and vagina, making it look as though she were only a toddler. She stepped into it and Tom helped her pull it up and over her quite naked body. He tugged and gently pull on it as he carefully zipped up the back. When he was finished she turned.

“How do I look?” she asked as she stood in front of him.

“Like a five foot tall baby,” he replied.

“Good. That’s just what I was looking for. Now help me into my little dress and then we’ll get going on your make-up,” she said.

Tom helped Mie get into her baby doll tights, dress and shoes and then she went and got Jane her make-up girl and they went to town on Tom. They spent about ten minutes and then they were done

“Finished, what do you think?” Jane asked when she was finished.

“Excellent,” Mie stated as she stepped back to take a look.

“Pretty good,” Tom said as he looked in the mirror.

“Pretty good!! Hell, your own mother wouldn’t recognize you. Pretty good indeed. Sheesh. Thanks Jane, once again you rock,” Mie said.

“Yeah, thanks Jane,” Tom said.

“Any time guys,” She said as she walked out.

They were sitting there and then there was a knock at the door, “five minutes,” a voice from outside stated. They made their way back stage and onto the set. It was a bedroom set with baby crib, changing table and open area out front. They waited and on cue they entered. Tom was holding Mie’s hand as she walked like a toddler to the center of the set and plopped down. Tom sat down in a rocking chair just off to one side while Mie did her routine. After about twenty minutes Tom got up, walked to the changing table and picked out a diaper and pajamas. He walked over to Mie just as she was finishing up.

“Time for bed little one,” he said as he took her hand and led her over to the changing table and set her up on it.

Tom removed her dress, tights and diaper. He cleaned her faux bottom, put her in a fresh diaper and then put the pajamas on her and zipped them up. He picked her up and carried her to the crib and placed her in It. He gave her her pacifier, covered her up and then drew up the side of the crib.

“Night little one. Sleep tight,” he said and then he stepped out the door and turned out the light.

The house lights came up as the crowd cheered. Tom came back in and let Mie out of the crib. She took her bows and then she motioned for Tom to come forward. He shook his head but the audience cheered for him to come forward. He stepped forward, took a bow and then pointed back to Mie.

Back in the dressing room they were sitting on the couch. Tom’s knees were shaking.

“Oh man! I’ve never been so nervous in all my life. And I’ve delivered a couple babies. You were wonderful by the way, I couldn’t stop laughing. And the audience loved you too,” he said.

“Me? You were magnificent!!” she said.

“No. I stepped on your act. I wasn’t supposed to talk. Sorry,” he offered.

“That made the whole act work. It was perfect timing. It set the whole ending up perfectly. How did you come up with those lines. They were perfect?” Mie stated.

“That’s what I used to say to my daughter when it was time for her to go to bed. So just used that,” Tom replied.

“That was way better than anything I could have come up with,” Mie said as she helped Tom out of his dress.

Tom put his on and slipped his pants on over the tights while Mie stood there waiting for him to help her get out of her costume.

“Um. A little help here,” Mie stated, pointing to the back of her pajamas as Tom put the nurses dress back into the garment bag and hung it up.

“Uh uh little one. I said it was bedtime. I’m taking you home to bed,” Tom stated as he put her clothes in a duffle bag, took her by the hand and led her out.

Tom walked her out to her car, strapped her in and then drove them to her house. She didn’t say a word all the way home. He parked and then they went inside.

“Where’s the nursery little one,” he asked as he locked the front door.

“Upstairs, second door on the right,” She replied without thinking about it.

Tom led her up the stairs, opened the door, turned on the light. He saw a fully stocked nursery.

“Very nice. I’ll have to pick up some real diapers, but for now these will have to do,” he said as he led her to the changing table.

Mie stood there silently as Tom removed her pajamas, diaper and finally the synthetic rubber body suit. He had her use the potty chair as he readied the changing table. He helped her up, cleaned her bottom thoroughly and applied some baby oil to her bottom. He put a fresh diaper on her and then put her in a pair of pajamas that were made to look like a little kitten.

“You hungry little one?” he asked as he helped her into her crib.

“A little,” she managed to reply still stunned by what just happened.

“You be good now. I’ll be right back up in just a bit,” he said and then he made his way down to the kitchen.

Mie sat there in her crib, stunned. She couldn’t believe what was happening. All her life she wanted a “daddy” to love and to love her. She was lost in thought until she heard Tom’s footsteps coming down the hall.

“Here we go baby girl,” he said as he picked her up and carried her over to an over-sized chair.

He sat down, put her on his lap and gave her the bottle. Mie drank in the sweet warm milk. It was fantastic as she curled up in his lap and sucked. When the bottle Was empty, Tom rubbed and patted her back until she burped. This took her by surprise.

“That’s my little girl,” he said and then carried her to the crib and laid her down.

He tucked her in and then gave her a little stuffed bunny.

“Good night one. Sleep tight and don’t chase after the bunny tonight,” he said and then turned out the light.

“I love you Tom,” Mie said.

“I love you too Mie,” he said and then he shut the door and went downstairs to sleep on the couch.

That next morning she slowly woke from one of the most fantastic dreams she’s ever had. But when she saw the bars of the crib, her little kitty P. Jays, her diapered bottom and her little stuffed bunny under her arm she realized it was real. She smelled coffee, toast and bacon. She got out of the crib, went to her room, grabbed a robe and headed downstairs.

“There she is. How did you sleep Mie?” Tom asked as she sat down at the kitchen table.

“Like a proverbial baby. Umm. How did you know?” she asked and poured herself some juice.

“Well. For starters. What twenty two year old woman is going to want to hang with a sixty year old man. And second. I thought that you were just a bit to comfortable playing that baby last night,” he replied.

“I could say the same about you. You didn’t balk one bit at being asked to wear that nurses uniform. And then you didn’t take off those tights last night either,” she countered.

“Well. You said that you needed a nanny last night. Nannies are women. I figured you had something planned so I decided to play along. You challenged, I accepted. And then you didn’t even try to put up any resistance on the way home,” he offered.

“Yeah. Well. You tricked me. I was in shock. Still high from the show. I wasn’t thinking straight,” She explained.

“Did you mean what you said last night?” he asked.

“Yeah I did. Did you?” she countered.

“Yep. Sure did. I’m not sure I understand it. But I've loved you for some time now,” he offered.

“I’ve had a mad crush on you since I was thirteen, when you came to help my sister, Kiko. How long?” she said.

“When you signed up for my first aid class at seventeen, and didn’t stop. You had a way of worming your way into my heart and I’m glad that you did,” he stated.

“Me too. So what are we going to do about it?” She asked.

“That’s your call Mie. I’ll be honored to be yours for as long as you will have me,” he said.

“Good. Cause I plan on keeping you around for a long time,” she said.

“I’m sure glad that’s settled. Now. Finish your breakfast so that we can get you cleaned up and changed,” he said.

“Yes daddy,” Mie said and then giggled.

After the dishes were done and put away they headed upstairs. They were showering and scrubbing each other. They rinsed off and as they stepped out of the shower when Tom realized that he didn’t have any clean clothes.

“Shit! I don’t have any clean clothes to wear,” he said as he toweled Mie off.

“That’s no problem I’ll just do a load of laundry,” she stated.

“That’s fine and all. But I can’t walk around your house naked until they’re finished,” Tom stated.

“You won’t be naked. I’ll put you in a diaper and then you can wear that nurses uniform until they’re ready,” she offered.

“You suddenly seem to like putting me in that dress. What gives?” he said as he cleaned out his pockets.

“I’ve always had a thing for men in uniform. Besides, that’s the only thing I have around here that is in your size. None of my clothes aren’t going to fit you,” she stated and then laughed.

“Good point,” he said as they headed towards the nursery.

Tom laid out a new pad on the changing table as Mie retrieved a fresh diaper. He laid down and then Mie deftly diapered him. He was about to get up when she pressed him back down again.

“You’re only half done. This will have to do until we can restock the nursery,” Mie stated as she held up a pair of ruffled pink rubber diaper pants.

Mie slid the pink rubber panties up and over his diapered bottom before she let him down from the changing table. Tom diapered Mie the same exact way and then they went to get dressed. They made up a list of supplies for the nursery for the both of them to enjoy.

Later, after the laundry was finished. Mie drove Tom back home. They went inside and while Tom was using the bathroom Mie checked out the bedroom.

“What do you think? Does it pass muster?” he asked when he came out from the bathroom.

“It’s okay. Is that a double?” she asked.

“Queen,” he replied as they headed out.

“So now. Where is your nursery?” Mie asked as she stopped him at the door.

“Right this way madam,” he said as he walked her down the hall.

They stopped in front of a door at the end of the hall. Mie turned the knob and thrust the door open. Nothing. The room was virtually empty save for a few boxes stacked up against one wall.

“Hey!! What gives? You said you had a nursery,” Mie stated as she stared in disbelief.

“I never actually said that I had a nursery. But I think that we can turn this into a pretty good one. Don’t you think. Besides, I got to have something now for when I babysit you,” He offered.

Mie’s knees got a little weak when she heard Tom say that he would babysit her.

“This will do nicely. Plenty of room for all the equipment that we’ll need,” she said once she regained her composure.

“Yeah I thought so to. Some paint, new curtains and new carpet. It’ll be a great nursery for when you come over,” he offered.

“It will be just wonderful,” she said and then started to cry.

“What’s wrong Mie?” he asked as he held her tightly in his arms.

“Nothing. These are tears of joy. I’m so happy right now. All I ever wanted was to find a man that would understand my deepest desires, and to love me for who and what I am. I just can’t believe that it’s you, for real. You couldn’t possibly know how long I’ve fantasized about being babied by you. Putting myself under your complete control. I fear that I might be dreaming and I’ll wake up and this will all be over,” Mie sobbed.

“I can assure you Mie, this is real. Anytime you need a babysitter, no matter when, I’m just a phone call away,” he said and then he wiped her tears and kissed her lips.

“What if I need more than just a babysitter?” Mie asked.

“I’ll be there too. Anytime, for anything. Whatever you need or want. All you have to do is ask,” he replied.

“I love you so much Tom. What’s a girl gotta do to get some lunch around here?” Mie asked as they made their way downstairs.

“You just did it. Lunch will be coming right up. Oh. And Mie. I love you very much also. Tuna salad okay?” he stated as they headed for the kitchen..

“that will be just fine Tom. Thank you,” she said and then turned on the stereo and started the Cd. player.

Solid gold oldies poured from the speakers as Tom whipped up the tuna salad and Mie made the coffee. Mie grabbed a couple of mugs and plates as Tom sliced a tomato and tore up some lettuce. Just as Tom slid four slices of bread into the toaster the doorbell rang.

“I’ll get it Tom,” Mie said and bounded for the door.

She opened the door and there stood Karen the head of the Emergency Medical Squad.

“Hello Karen. Come on in,” Mie said.

“Hi Mie. I thought that looked like your car in the drive. Is Tom here?” she asked as she stepped inside.

“I’m in the kitchen making lunch. Come on in. Have you eaten? I made tuna salad on wheat toast,” he yelled from the kitchen.

“Thanks but no. I’m good. I just came by to discuss what we could do for a fund raiser. I’m glad that you’re here too Mie. I caught your act last night. You were fantastic,” Karen offered.

“Thanks Karen. It was a new bit. I wasn’t sure if it would fly or not. I’m glad someone liked it,” Mie said.

“Like I said. It was fantastic Mie. You were fantastic. Did you see it Tom?” Karen said.

“Yes I did. Mie was absolutely stunning I’m sorry now that I hadn’t gone to see her earlier,” he said as he poured a cup of coffee for Karen.

Karen waived a hand over an imaginary cup and said, “I got to thinking last night. We could rent the theater and put on some sort of talent show. Mie could do her act if she’s willing.”

“That would cover about twenty five minutes. My counter. You drink,” he said as he pushed the cup in front of Karen.

“Very funny Tom. I would love to do some of my stand up. When we talking?” Mie said.

“This fall. And I was kinda hoping that you would do your new act. The folks last night just loved it,” Karen stated.

“Last nights performance just might have been a one off. I could only get my assistant for the one night. I don’t know if I could get another on such short notice,” Mie explained.

“I don’t know Mie. From what I saw, it didn’t look that hard. Walk in, sit down, listen to the act and then put in the crib afterwards. Hell. Even I could do that much and I’ve never acted a day in my life,” he offered.

“This is serious. Don’t be so silly Tom. The part calls for a woman to play the nanny. Are you sure that you can’t ask her to help you out for one more night?” Karen asked her.

“What’s the planned date? I’ll see if she’s free but I can't promise anything,” Mie stated.

“It will be the Friday before Halloween. I’ll understand if she’s not available. And you could be the Emcee Tom...” Karen said.

“Bull-onee. I don’t do well in front of crowds,” Tom stated.

“Nonsense. I’ve seen you deliver a Memorial Day service at the cemetery. You did a great job,” Karen stated matter of factly.

“A Memorial Day service at the cemetery is one thing. I could never handle a packed theater crowd. I’d have a heart attack. Sorry. And besides. I just remembered that I have a previous engagement that night,” he offered.

“Karen?” Mie said smiling as she poured herself another shot of coffee.

“Huh?” she said.

“Warm up your coffee?” Mie said as she held up the pot.

“Oh. No thanks Mie. Okay Tom I understand. It doesn’t hurt to ask. I’m sure I can get someone to do it,” Karen stated.

“Your the boss. Why don’t you do it?” Tom asked.

“No reason. We have six months. Plenty of time to work out the details. Well, I gotta run. I’ve got to talk to the other members. We’ll talk about it at the next meeting a little bit. Thanks for the coffee. Bye,” Karen said and then she left.

“I don’t do well in front of big crowds. And I’m going to be previously engaged. What the hell does that mean?” Mie asked.

“Like you don’t know! If you are going to do your new act, you are going to need your nanny. And I can’t be in two places at the same time. A choice had to be made and I chose you,” Tom said.

“Oh Tom. You just made me the happiest girl in the world,” Mie said and then hugged and kissed him.

“That is known as good parenting little one,” he said and then he picked her up and carried her upstairs.

Mie was laughing and squealing with delight all the Way up the stairs.
