A package I ordered from Amazon did not arrive Christmas Eve as promised. I sent them a brief email saying that choosing the Post Office for a package on that day was probably not the best idea - and that the delay had caused me to have to go out Christmas Eve night to get pet food (one of the items in the package) to last until the package comes tomorrow.
With an hour I got an email apologizing for the delay and giving me a $10 gift certificate AND an extra month of Amazon Prime free. How's that for service?
