Good write-up. The journey towards untraining is an intriguing one- ultimately filled with discoveries about our conscious and subconscious thoughts that"hold us back" and tweaking them to a way that is more productive towards our goals. Said differently, conceptually everyone should be able to become fully IC within 3-6 months IF they have absolutely no mental barriers. It's not rocket science. Just immediately going whenever the urge hits and holding your muscles open continuously would totally retrain no differently than if we wore a cath for 6 months straight. Alas, we all have mental barriers though. Maybe it's hesitancy with a spouse, or on a business trip, of deeply thinking of what happens in a business meeting if it all "goes" immediately... or a myriad of little mental barriers that we may not know about. Really liked the gist of not always having to "go" or use them. I had a therapist who suggested r/e wetting at night: "Don't judge your night as bad if you wake up dry. Just enjoy the mornings when you do wake up wet" Waking dry had felt like a failure, which put pressure on the need to wet in order to "succeed" and added this whole other set of conscious and subconscious stressors. Being OK regardless of result was a big help.

I'm with Grace, I have a feeling the pattern book which I think is new, may be brainwashing.  I certainly hope not because if it is then someone out there is purposely programming littles into infants and that would be hugely wrong. I do hope if G-ma and G-pa try to baby John that Amanda steps in and has them treat him like he's an older child.  Not that Amanda particularly treats him like an adult herself.  <grins, grumbles, and sticks my tongue out at Kat> Good chapter, Kat.  as always, thanks for sharing.

At least we only have to wait till Friday to find out what happened. I agree that now would be a good time for another big to show up. But my thought was that Amanda would be following. Though Lilly would work since it seems her whole nest went. But I figured she would have just offered to start with. And I can't decide if it's Reila or if it's the claws. Either would work since Livy called for help. But I figure it's the claws. Since they were just introduced last chapter.
