Capcom questions

Recommended Posts

Super excited to go to Capcom 2024. Never been and I have questions...

So I'm a DL, not much of an AB. What this there to do for DLs? Not into play with toys or baby talk, so is there a lot for simple diaper lovers?

I'm thinking of going downtown during the weekend. How far is the host hotel from downtown? Is it public transport easily available?

The convention space is generally AB-centric, but there will be a lot of DLs present as well. In my experience, most of the fun comes in the form of room parties, which will be plentiful. As far as being close to downtown, it depends on where they hold it. It's been in a couple locations, which I won't share, but neither was particularly close to downtown. It's Chicago though, so lots of public transportation.

I've been twice, but it's been 5 years since my last one. As @DprDJeff has said it is more AB but that may not mean you won't enjoy it. My wife and I plan to attend Capcon 2024 and it will be her first. One benefit for a DL is the ability to meet other DL's. When I go I use my diapergirl name Freta B Wet. It will be on my name badge so even if you were too shy to approach me, you would be able to put a real face to the woman you see posting on here. There is so much socializing even when your not on the convention floor. I met so many friends at the breakfast every morning. People make friends and go out to lunch or dinner. It's a hotel so I expect some type of bar or lounge. I met some very cool people sitting at the bar. One evening I had a long conversation with someone's mommy. Capcon is like any other convention or social engagement, you can make it the best time of your life or it can suck.

Hugs,

Freta

CAPCon stands for Chicago Age Players Convention, so yes, it does lean heavily towards the AB side of the slash. As others have mentioned, it is an opportunity to meet other DLs. There are many vendors there, so there are plenty of diapers you can purchase. I feel like some of the acts in the pageant/talent show would be enjoyable for even vanillas. There are nightly raves/dance parties in the main ballroom. Room parties as well, as others have mentioned. They have the middles room with board, card, and video games. Last year, they had evening activities for bigs like cabaret and casino night. That may appeal to DLs. You say you have no interest in AB items but wait until you’re in the midst of them. Scaled up tricycle? Ball pit? Once again, stuff even some vanillas would find entertaining. May as well try them out at least once and get your money’s-worth.

Don't you know never go in the ball pit. Someone has peed in it. :)

I've got 4 days so planning to get downtown if public transport is quick to get downtown. I'll definitely take in some of the activities but I'm also in the great city of Chicago.

Last time I was in Chicago, I saw Drew Bledsoe play QB for the Patriots...

Big Bears fan here but a tip - the way they played their first 3 games, skip the trip to Soldier Field.

Whats the agenda? It is Wednesday to Sunday. Four days seems like a lot and I don't think I can be/ want to be away from my family that long.  Would it be okay to come Wednesday to Friday PM / Sat morning departure? Or would I be missing out on too much? 🥰
