Nyte Kitsune
Just tried to log into DD and got that "Fake" Windows Defender message claiming I should contact "X". Ignored it and rebooted. Checked my laptop, no issues according to Norton and the actual Defender on my laptop. Remember folks. Don't fall for it. It's a scam. If you want to be certain always check your actual antivirus protection. "Never" contact those. You'll know if it happens to you as it will prevent you from closing the window or even try to click on your desktop. Just reboot. 1 Link to comment
Cute_Kitten
Thanks for the heads up. 👍 Always good to be aware of those nasty lil things! Link to comment
Crinklz Kat
You can nearly bet 100% that it's a compromised ad server - rarely ever the web site itself. The better the ad blocking capability you have, the fewer if ever you'll see this type of "attack". Link to comment
le Hollandais
Yup. What I figured...a scam. I've seen it. Link to comment
