It seemed comical almost as she looked out from her office window and down on the streets below at the various people going about their daily lives as if everything was okay or even normal but she guessed that was the point of all this...

Pretending that things were okay.

That nothing happened....

Yet Susan knew that it would be foolish to let that thought become true, become normal.  No one should forget or be allowed to forget what had happened or was happening at this very moment which was why she ruled with a strict regime.  Susan was liked enough and had her following but she also had people who disliked her and wouldn't mind if she just disappered yet none of those people were in power and if they even tried to do anything against her they would simply disapper with ease.

On the outside it looked like the small city or large town was run fairly and everyone had a say in how things were done but from the inside that wasn't the case at all.  Susan was in completele control and with her group of 'friends' no one would dare try to go against her but she knew it was better to make friends rather then enemies which was why the place had a council, elections, public talks and more to make sure that things seemed fair to everyone...

Susan was smart. She had a degree in law and had been working her way up at a law firm when the outbreak happened and quickly everything took a turn for the worse and people had to fight to survive as civilisation crumbled.  It was at least five years ago that happened....

Society was building back up, slowly, regaining land, and pushing the zombies back carefully. It made things a bit more easier and trade grew amongst communities that were close by one another yet that also caused problems...

Susan had believed for a long time that no one she knew had escaped or survived what had happened until a lone travller had come upon her place....

She knew this person. They had gone to school together, high school.  It seemed as if a rush of emotions over took her and she didn't know how to process them at all or her thoughts. The first time she had seen the travller, she had ignored her, choosing to believe that she was wrong and had been mistaken despite the fact that she couldn't be mistaken.  Then she slowly found herself become worried, concerned, stressed and in need to control the travller, the only person she knew before the outbreak because she knew that she couldn't lose her, she couldn't lose the last thing she had connecting her to her old life even if that meant bending the rules and even breaking them to keep the travller with her, safe and sound.

"The next time this person comes in...."

Before Susan could say anything the tall, bulky man held up his hand, "You've told me a dozen times, already," he said, "to bring her to you and that all documents have been sorted properly by doctors, other officals and so on," he paused with a smirk, "and most importantly to take any proof of ID away, don't worry Captain, I've got this so no need to worry."

"Thanks Leo."

Leo nodded and took his leave. He was a high ranking town guard memeber and one of Susan's most trusted.  Leo did Susan's dirty work for her.  Waiting at the gate opening with Rachel, another loyalist, he kept his eye out for the Captain's new 'baby'. He didn't ask much about this woman or why Susan wanted her at all but he knew that his Captain was getting anxious about this person for whatever reason.  It probably had to do with boosting her own popularity. It wasn't uncommon for adults to have other adults as their children in their community and it was starting to be seen as a good thing as well. It meant people were becoming more protective over others even if the ones being protected didn't want to be protected....

"Is that her?" asked Rachel.

Leo picked up his gun just to be careful and looked through the scope before putting his gun down, "Not a zombie, that's for sure."

A lot of things had changed for Sadie Valentina, the 23 year-old youthlock who had the body of a 9 year old, she had gone from a prodigy and future business woman, to a Stone Cold killer, Drifter as well as a merchant. Ever since that day they had risen, she remembered that day perfectly she was in her new dorm room having just gotten settled in, in her ideal College.

She was double-checking her things making sure she had what she needed for her first day of business school when she heard someone screaming, she poked her head out as did a few other girls and she saw a girl stumbling around looking like she was hurt. a few girls went to the young woman, Sadie was about to head back in when she saw the hurt girl immediately attack for the nearest person and took a huge Chunk from the girl's neck, blood shot out like a fountain when the strange woman ripped out the girl's throat.

After 10 Silent seconds the girls in the hall reacted, some screamed, others attacked the strange woman attempting to restrain her as two girls went to the dying girl who was desperately holding the gaping wound on her throat. Then one of the girls screamed out loud and all attention was taken from the gruesome horror to an even more greater horror as other sick looking people started coming in the hallway some suffering from various forms of necrosis and having unsurvivable wounds. Sadie immediately locked her door and barricaded it, hearing the screaming heard from Beyond her door. When morning came she turned on the radio and heard the news, that impossible news that the dead are now walking the Earth.

And not just zombies, but various undead monsters as well, it was like something from a video game or a B movie. Sadie spent two days in her room waiting for help to come and when she had run out of food and she had no choice but to run. And that's how her story went it was tough getting out of her College Community especially with the more advanced infected running around, but by sheer force of will, luck and skill she was able to escape. After that she stayed in a few shelters where she learned various techniques like how to use weapons, due to her condition and size she couldn't handle anything other than small caliber arms.

She now carried two Hawes JP Sauer & Sohn Western Marshall Colt Single Action Army Revolver and a Pump-Action Youth Shotgun, she all so carried various knives. Sadie looked at her map and found she was close to the town of Hadrian. She had gone there because she was hired to find a youthlock girl who had disappeared from her traveling group. When she couldn't find her, Sadie had left but now she was returning figuring it would be a good place to trade some goods and information. She soon got out from her converted tricycle food cart turned on the engine and was doing heading to the town gate.

Leo watched as a girl got out of the converted vehical and looked down at the folder that he had on him. It surprised him to see a youthlock and he found it hard not to comment about it.  Maybe it was a good thing that Susan had giving him this assignment? He didn't like the idea of someone so small wondering the wasteland alone even if they were capable and could handle themselves. It was dangerous and he couldn't allow anyone who thought to be weaker then him to go out there which only meant that he was more then happy to do the task that he was assigned to do.

He knew his 'view' wasn't well liked amongst people sometimes but he had seen enough to know when someone needed to step back and let someone else take charge and in Sadie's case....

All he saw was someone who was going to end up as Zombie chow sooner or later, "Right! You know the protocol! Guns, ammo and any other weapons are to be put on the table and then they'll be returned later on." said Leo deciding to stay professional rather then just jump in and do what he was assigned to do. He didn't want to scare Sadie off.

Rachel picked up a hefty storage unit and took a deep breath, "Everything goes in here and don't worry you'll get the key and some money too." it was part of the way Susan had decided to run the gate.

Traders or people wanting in would be giving a key and money for their weapons. The key was to help build up trust and the money was a deal, a deal in which the traders or people coming out would have to return if they wanted their weapons back. It meant that if any guards decided to nick anything then the person would keep the money and any weapons left as well as a week long stay in the small hotel in the town, free of charge.

Leo took a deep breath, "The Captain...." he paused, "I mean mayor would like to see you first by the way so once your done with everything I'll take you to her," he smiled, "probably be best to leave your bags here or in the foyer at the mayor's office."

"I'll take your cart around to lot." said Rachel waiting for the keys.  The car park was secure with barb wire, electric and various other things that made it very dangerous to get in and out of which meant only certain people could fetch or take vehicals.

When Sadie arrived at the checkpoint she didn't complain when she had to put her weapons that she was carrying on the tray it was standard procedure for some secured towns like this, but Sadie wasn't stupid and most survivors always made sure to keep a knife hidden somewhere, even in these secure Towns it was always good to carry a weapon.

Sadie did wonder why the mayor wanted to meet with her, at the same time it made it easier to find out where she could quickly set up her cart to sell weapons, animation, information and various bits and Bobs she collected in the deadlands. "Thank you for the offer but I'll keep my bag on me thank you very much."

Sadie did open her Grim Reaper backpack so they could check it, really she only kept in it what was needed, like a few extra weapons like pistols and ammunition which she turned over, she all so had a flashlight, a small Lantern, matches an extra set of clothes and shoes and some books like The Forgotten Skills of Self-Sufficiency Used by the Mormon Pioneers and Bushcraft 101: A Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival.

She then closed up her backpack and pull around her shoulders, after she asked them about where's the nearest weapons dealer was and making sure she locked up her converted food cart and seeing were it was taken, she Then followed one of the guards to the mayor's house her Grim Reaper backpack over her shoulders.

Leo watched Sadie carefully his gaze lingering on the bag for a moment only to smirk somewhat, "Wouldn't think a girly like you be carrying around a bag of death." he joked, "It's a bit of a walk to the office but we'll be passing various things by that might take your intrest." he pointed out the nearest weapon dealer with a smirk before pointing to a large building, "That's the market hall at the end of every month we have a lot of people selling things there it can get rather busy but it's worth looking at it or even booking your own table." he took a quick glance at the old town clock that continued to go despite everything that had has happened. It was amazing the old thing still worked.

A lot of people were in school right now, thankfully. It meant that no kids, teenagers or even some adults were about to scare Sadie off with how they were dressed, "Here we are." he said comming up to the steps of a converted office building.

Richard looked up from his desk at reception at Leo as he watched the two walked in before glancing down at his compture. He was a tech wiz and had set up a lot of systems in the town including a metal detecting machine that would give him a notification if anyone brought something in that they shouldn't.  He knew that people often carried knives on them in secret and so did everyone else in the town but depending on things they could press legal charges on a person, easily, "Just standard proceedure but if you have anything on you at all that could be used a weapon this is the time to put it on the table otherwise if it comes to our attention that you do have a weapon then there will be charges pressed against you determind by our court of law." he added with a serious tone.

Leo laughed, "Come on Richard! Don't you trust me to do my job anymore? Sadie doesn't have anything on her at all, right?" he looked at Sadie knowing full well that Richard wouldn't of said a thing otherwise.  Leo hoped that Sadie would keep the weapon on her....

It would give Susan a huge boost in guareenting that Sadie would be seen as a possible 'threat' and 'immature' in her choices. She already had things in the bag but it was always better to do things a certain way to make sure that people realized that what she was doing was right and for the best.  She had already paid off various people and made deals to get what she wanted but she enjoyed putting on a show.....

She hoped that Sadie would fight her and dig her own grave.

Susan watched her TV screen with a smirk at the scene that was taking place in foyer and looked over at the fax report that had been sent to her showing where the knife was on Sadie.  The report or 'scan' would be sent over to law officals as well.  Concealed weapons was one thing but actually using one in the town would mean something else entierly.

Sadie rolled her eyes at that joke, if she had a bullet for every time someone made a comment about her backpack or a pistol she was carrying she's have enough bullets to sell to the entire country, she soon followed the guard looking at the different locations. Strangely enough the town did not have any youthlocks running around, when she was told about this place that youthlock girl that want missing, Sadie was told she could be likely here but like her first visit their were no one like her here.

It wasn't too surprising some towns didn't allow youthlocks to live there thinking them a liability due to their condition. When she got to the office she saw the metal detector a common thing for certain buildings to have, when the man at the front desk, Richard said about the consequences carrying a weapon Sadie then reached into her hand and produced a coin on its face was a skull with a socket wrench and a shotgun instead of crossbones.

Sadie couldn't help but smile at the look both men gave the coin, a look of shock before exchanging a nervous glance at each other. It was a coin belonging to the lord of iron one of the biggest warlords in the deadlands, that special coin was an indication that Sadie was under his protection. Sadie was given the coin by the iron lord himself doing some important work for him.

The coin was good to get free lodging and drinks in any of the Lord's territory, in territories he didn't own, it was a good way to get people to immediately respect her or at the very least think twice before messing with her. She put the coin back in her pants pocket and went through the metal detector, Sadie knew they wound not detect the knife it was a wooden knife something easily undetected by metal detectors. After the whole song and dance was done,
Sadie was taken to the mayor's office.

Leo took a deep and sharp breath as he saw the coin. The Lord of Iron was someone he knew well enough and the two had crossed paths as enemies and as allies. He had been on the wrong side of him a few times and it had cost him his eye but despite that and a few other moments of conflict he hadn't had much trouble with the warlord. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to do this? Before he hadn't cared but now? He wasn't so sure....

They've won wars themselves and Susan was considered a good leader, a good tactician but he wasn't sure if she could stand up to one of the warlords at all if he did decide to come on knocking into their town.  At best Susan could be considered a Knight or even at a push a Baron but not a Lord yet as he thought things over he knew that if it had to come down to it he would rather die by the hands of Lord of Iron rather then Susan.  He knew how Susan could be and how cruel she can be towards those who she needed to crush.  Death by a zombie even seemed nicer then having to deal with whatever cruel idea Susan would have for him.

Richard eyed Sadie and the coin. He had heard tales from people espescially Leo and while he did feel afraid and shared a nervous glance with his friend he couldn't help but see this as a challenge. He gave a brief nodded at the two.

Leo knocked on Susan's door.

Susan had seen the coin and simply shrugged it off. It didn't matter to her. Should she be scared? Possibly and yet she didn't.  Those coins were a dime a dozen in her eyes and while rare she knew that unless Sadie had a way to contact the Lord she would be fine and even if the Lord did decide to pay a visit to her town she knew how to manipulate others well enough.  If the worse did happen she would still have the upper hand. The Lord would be in her town.  Unless he showed up with a army but she doubted that the Lord of Iron would do that.

Hearing the knock Susan took a deep breath, "Come in," she looked at the two before looking at Leo, "you can go, I'll be fine." she watched as Leo nodded and turned away to exit.  Once alone Susan stands up and smiles at Sadie, "It's been a while hasn't it? I don't know if you even remember me from high school? It's rare to see anybody from the past." she added softly.

When Sadie was in the office she took a quick look around, she saw a few pictures of historical figures, a potted plant or two, an old extensive looking desk, some filing cabinets even a coffee machine, but what really caught Sadie's eye were  the heads of different monsters put in jars and kept fresh with preservatives and the stuffed head of a man.

Sadie had seen this before it was a psychological tactic used to intimidate, one jar had the head of a shrieker, most children or youthlocks turned into shriekers, pale creatures, with sharp claws that would let out a shriek and attack their prey, they were weak and easy to dispatch but they're cries would attract other monsters. Another had in a jar was a Nosferatu so named for the vampire like appearance, these creatures were nocturnal and could climb on any surface, they all so had sharp hearing, Claws and fangs. But they hated sunlight and a good UV ray  or a flashbang could blind them or drive them away.

Another jar contained the head of a hellhound, a Savage wolf like best about the size of a human very dangerous and violent with sharp Claws and sharp reflexes, Sadie all most died in her early days when one of those things slashed her chest down to her stomach, luckily someone pulled her away and it only left a nasty scar. In another jar was the head of a buzz boy an insect humanoid like creature that could throw up acid those things were always revolting to Sadie.

The last jar was quite big which contained the head of a juggernaut those things were
extremely dangerous big with a thick armor like skin that made them impervious to most small Arms fire. Those were just a few of the nightmare creatures that ruled the new world, but they were still flesh and blood and even the most powerful and most Twisted monster could still be put down. Before Sadie could study the stuffed human head at the center of the room the mayor got up and went to her greeting her like an old friend. She looked at the woman, it took her just a bit of time to recognize her, "Susan?" Sadie said not believing it was her.

Susan watched Sadie like a lion, intense, but making sure not to come off as agressive, "Took you long enough to recognise me," laughed the mayor softly as she ran a hand through her jet black, medium length hair, that was well groomed and slicked back somewhat, "sorry about the decor I can understand if it's a bit off putting." she knew that people hated coming into her office but there was something about her collection that she liked a lot.  Susan knew that she was bit unhinged to say the least but giving what had happened and was happening it wasn't to far off to say that everyone was a little weird now, right?

Susan had deep dark blue eyes that seemed to pierce anyone's soul if she decided to look at them directly.  A large scar was visable across her cheek.  Her left hand had very old but deep burns. Susan wasn't pleased with her scars but at least she still had her looks, somewhat, and that with her power as mayor was enough for her until now.

"I'll just cut to the chase, mhm?" said Susan, "Why don't you live here with me? You can still travel and go about your way but it's rare to see anyone from before all this and I would hate it if something were to happen to you," she smiled, "a warm bed is a luxury after all and as mayor I can probably sort out some things for you here and in a couple of other places," she paused only to smirk, "I'm not as big as Lord Iron but I do have a reputation of my own," she pointed to the TV screens that showed the foyer and a close up of the desk, "I've been refered to as Gemini and sometimes The Dragon of the Sands."

The Dragon of the Sands was a old title that she had before becoming mayor and forming the town but she knew that her old title was known well enough despite her lack of activity in recent years, "We all had to make do and I'm not exactly happy with my past."

She would make Sadie comfortable first before launching into her.  She needed to bide her time carefully...

When Sadie one of the few people she had known in the old days she couldn't help but smile, Sadie had a difficult time making friends back in the old days due to her condition, most picked on her, plus Sadie wasn't really the most sociable person being a prodigy and being push to excel made making friends a bit difficult. She remembered Susan a nice girl, pretty smart and determined, she could be considered one of the few people who Sadie could consider a friend, although she did remember how Susan did kind of baby her a bit in the old days like she was her older sister even though Sadie was a year older than her.

Sadie study the woman before her Susan definitely had blossomed into a woman, in fact she looked a lot like her mom. Minus the scars especially the one on her hand probably from a buzz boy, but who doesn't have a scar nowadays. Then Sadie heard Susan's proposal of her staying here she was taken aback by it and it did sound like a good offer but the Lord Iron also made her a good offer as well either working in his main city or one of his other territories.

Hell the lord of tech offered her a chance to stay in his territory, but one reason why she did not take anyone up on their offers at least not yet, was because she wasn't exactly comfortable with large groups of people or practically anyone. She wasn't anti-social she was a team player, it's just she can't really trust people and she really wasn't sociable before the new Dark Age.
Sadie sat down, "I see you cut right to the chase but you could have let me get my bearings before bringing that on me Susan, why do you need me what I see you don't need help unless you need help with your science homework so Mr West does not keep you after class." Sadie smiled after making that joke of their old chemistry teacher Herbert West remember the kids used to joke about him since he sounded like the guy from the reanimator he was also pretty creepy looking and he smelled of garlic, Susan was never really good at his class which mean her a few other students had to sometimes hear him lecture on after class.

Susan smiled, "I suppose I should be a bit more considerate I tend to be rather blunt now giving everything and I'll always need help with my science homework," she replied in jest and laughing a little, "I don't really need help but won't you stay? Everyone from the past is dead and your the only one left," she paused deciding to try a different tactic to get Sadie to stay so she could spring her trap properly, "I'm not forcing you to stay here, you know? I'm just offering free accomdation that you can use whenever you like and I do feel some responsiblity towards you giving that we are friends, right? Even though it's been a while."

Would guilt tripping Sadie work or not?

"You should relax a little," she said, "when was the last time you've just chilled out for a bit? You probably need to get checked over by a doctor as well just to see if there's any problems can never be to careful."

Would she needed to push harder or not? Susan placed a hand on Sadie's shoulder, "I'm only trying to look out for you, you know that right?"

When Sadie heard all that Susan had said she let out a sigh, "Look Susan I know how you used to look out for me do to my condition when we were still kids when the world was normal even those I did not need it, but like you I have changed as well," Sadie said then she pulled up her sleeves showing a few scars before lifting up her shirt and showing off the big scar on her chest and stomach. "Like you, the world has changed me not just physically but mentally and emotionally." Sadie then added, "I can take care of myself but I will stay here just for a few days not just to sell my Wares but to spend some time with you and catch up on things."

Sadie did feel that something was off with this, but written it off as her friend still seeing her as the fragile little thing and getting a free check-up from the doctor and getting some R&R would probably be good before sending out.

Link to comment

Susan nodded, "I understand that things have changed a lot for the both of us and that we're both different from how we were years ago," she understood what Sadie was saying and yet she couldn't help but feel the need to prove Sadie wrong but how, "I do want to take care of you and I won't lie about that but you understand that it isn't because of how small you are, right?" she said lying slightly, "It's because that's what friends do but I'm glad to hear that you'll be staying for a few days, it'll be good to catch up." she smiled knowing full well that the doctor was on her side and would do anything for her.

"Would you like to rest up and maybe have some food with me? Or would you like to go to the doctors now and get your check up over with?" asked Susan softly, "we got rather lucky here in this town because it's close to lab which used to make a lot of different medication so we're able to give up to date boosters on things thanks to that and our team of researchers."

Sadie was a bit skeptical a lot of regular size folk always treated her like she was fragile especially during this day and age of Monsters & Madmen, but she had to admit being a youthlock in this day and age helped her survive many an ambush or dealing with people, Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak, a quote from The Art of War book she kept in her converted cart and in this world friends could become enemies and enemies could become friends.

When Sadie heard the word boosters she involuntarily flinched she definitely was not a big fan of needles and truth be told she would avoid them unless they needed. "I will keep that in mind." She said before saying. "Thanks for the offer but I should check my inventory in my cart in fact would you like to see it?" Sadie said but her stomach started to grumble making the woman blush a bit.

Link to comment

Susan could hear Sadie's stomach grumble and raised an eyebrow, "You okay? Hungry?" she asked a little concerned before smiling, "Sure I would love to check out your cart there might be something that I need in it and I know that needles freak you out but if you do need them then the doctor will take care of it and I'll be there with you," she paused, "you probably already know this but I will force you to have those jabs if the doc tells us that you need them otherwise the chances of you getting ill and turning into one of those things," she pointed to the glass jar with youthlock in it, "isn't something that I want to have on my heart nor is it something that I want you to go through with."

Susan decided to take the lead knowing where the car park was, "I have that one and some others as reminders of how horrible things are and how terrible the transformation can get," she said, "we've been attempting to cure people and some try to come here in hopes of getting cured before the infection gets to much but it's hard, difficult and down right tragic," she took Sadie out the back where there weren't much people besides some guards, "we've found ways to slow the transformation but that only prolongs the suffering unless we're able to hack off the infected part and seal up the wound." she added shivering in disgust.

"There's only a few things that still get underneath my skin and it's infected people coming here and willing to do anything not to turn into a creature even if that means testing things out that aren't ethical at all," they were getting closer to the car park, "they can choose anytime to quit and if they ask to be killed it's done quickly but it's one of the few things I'm unsure about here," Susan stopped at the gate and opened it, "I think it's something I might need to reduce or even end soon."

Susan looked around the park lot and smirked, "Is that it?" she asked pointing to the three wheeler.

Sadie blushed when Susan brought up her dislike of needle, but nodded her head, as they left the office Susan talked about forcing her to get the shots, making Sadie say, "Yes I know it's standard procedure for most communities like this." Susan then went on about about desperately infected people looking for a cure, the Lord of medicine did create antibiotics for the infection but even with that it was still a 50/50 shot of becoming infected with the virus and turning, all that could be done was to slow down the virus, but eventually someone will turn.

When they got to the car park and Susan saw the converted food cart, Sadie saw the smirk that was playing on her friend's face witch made her pout a little bit, "haha I know it's not much to look at, but it does the job." Sadie said as she started to explain her vehicle.

"My tires are non punctual which is great when driving over on hard terrain, the glass is Bulletproof, the front seat is comfortable and adjustable. I have attachments for the pedals so I don't have to worry about not being able to reach them, it's both Electric and Gas, but the gas part is only used for emergencies, it has a built-in radio so I can always pick up chatter. The back in there is spacious, I have fold-up bed and I have a space for my books and various personal items as well as a space for my merchandise."

Sadie explained before hearing a whistle, she looked around and saw a one legged man no doubt the local mechanic as he hobbled over to the vehicle he said, "That's a nice looking vehicle you got there little missy," Sadie smiled and nodded her head before going to the back and opening the door, Sadie looked around it was obvious that her vehicle had been searched standard procedure, but nothing looked to be taken she then opened up the shutter of her food cart and revealed her merchandise, it had a little of everything, weapons, medical supplies, non-perishable food, fishing poles, lanterns and little shovels, even a few book and the toys, it was honestly quite an impressive setup.

But probably one of the most impressive items to see was an RPG that was on display. "Holy shit is that an RPG, I haven't fired one of those babies since before the collapse and that was basic," A young man who looked like to be in his late twenties came up with Leo who had a mixture of disbelief and impressed on his face. The young man then asked, "How much for the RPG?" Sadie then give a wolfish smile and said, Well normally it's $1,000. But you work for Susan and she's an old friend I'm going to knock down the price to 500 as well as a trade if you have anything." The young man nodded his head and left the group to get his money and wherever he could the trade for it."

Link to comment

Susan was impressed by the set up but continued to smirk, "I'm glad to hear that it's bullet-proof but maybe we can look into getting it acid proof as well? I know a couple of places have started working on acid type weapons to burn through things a lot more easier including cars."

She watched as the men looked on in shock and wonder at the vehical and RPG.

"I'm surprised that your offering such a deal," she said, "but I guess you'll have plenty of perks within the town for doing so and I'll be more then willing to help out with anything that you need personally." said Susan.

It amazed her at how well Sadie was doing and maybe she was wrong? Yet even if she was wrong she couldn't take the chance of her friend dying somehow in the wasteland when she knew she could prevent that by having her here and safe.

Susan wished she could just do whatever she wanted straight away but things like this took time.  She would need to make sure to talk to the doctor beforehand about what should be done. Maybe some shots and medicine to slowly make her friend weak and maybe even in need of some padding, pull ups? Maybe the concern friend route would be better? She had a lot to think about.

Sadie did hear the rumors of acid-base weaponry harvested from the buzz boys, she had to suppress a gag when thinking about that, she then smiled at her friend and said, "I would appreciate that I was planning on going to the vehicle Lord for an that protection." She then noticed a few guards and a few regular size adult citizens of the Town eyeing her with a mixture of shock, impressiveness and strangely enough concern like they were seeing a little kids playing with something dangerous, but Sadie wrote that off it was common for some regular sized adults to be concerned due to her condition and having all these weapons.

"You know I could open up early, it seems I have some spectators if they wish to look around and make an offer I wouldn't object." Sadie offered and ignored her grumbling stomach, there was business at Foot and she was going to go at it. Sadie cleared her throat and put on her salesman pitch,

"Hello greetings strangers I see you eyeing my curios come one come all I have all you need for surviving the DeadLands as well as items to remind you of the good old days, I take coin and trade I even have information for sale if that's what you're looking for, Sadie Crowley has what you need and if I don't then I can get it for you." A few guards and citizens wandered over to the cart, a few were even making offers. Susan was soon seeing
how complicated this game of cat-and-mouse was going to become.

All she could do was watch as some guards and civilians started to look through what Sadie had along with making offers.   Susan leaned back against the vehical and simply watched what was going on as she heard Sadie's stomach grumble.  Should she put a holt to things and get her friend to eat something or wait a bit? She wasn't sure but she did enjoy waiting. It allowed her to think things through more.

There was a couple of restraunts nearby they could go to or maybe she could cook something, maybe that would be easier? She could put some drugs in Sadie food? Just a little so it would seem like a cold and nothing more? Susan smirked, "You know I think it's time to pack up now and open shop tomorrow," said Susan, "I can hear your stomach growling and it's already been a long day for both of us," she paused, "we can head back to my place and I can cook something up for the both of us while you relax?" she added.  She couldn't wait to make Sadie's her's but she needed Sadie to trust her first before doing anything.

Sadie was in her element she enjoyed this job, while she wasn't opposed to doing dirty work either doing an escort mission a bounty on a particular nasty on dead or person if she could handle it, or doing a scavenge mission, she much preferred this kind of job. When Susan suggested ending the sale here, Sadie thought that Susan sounded like a mother telling her daughter it was time to put away her toys, but you couldn't really argue as she was getting hungry and she did get breakfast.

Plus she did make some nice money and trade, especially from the young man who was happily holding his new RPG, and bragging to his friends who had envious looks on their faces. "All right though sorry to have to cut it short but I'm afraid I'm closing up shop for today." A few people groaned as Sadie started closing up shop. As she was closing up a guard went over to Susan talked to her about what they found in the trailer for the food cart nothing out of the ordinary everything you would find in a vendor's vehicle who was all so living in it, but one thing they did find was a big unicorn training potty that was hidden under a sheet, next to a rolled up bed.

Susan smirked at the people that had gathered, "Don't worry! You'll get to buy from her tomorrow!"

She looked over at the guard with curious eyes and was surprised to see a training potty but it didn't shock her.  It made sense.  Toilets weren't great to go in unless you had a guard to watch your back but still she found it hard not to smile at the thought of Sadie using a potty espescially one that was so childish and cute, "Thank you but you can put that back." she said to the guard.

Once everyone had left and things had been closed up Susan placed her hand down on Sadie's shoulder, "Let's get something to eat and rest up for tomorrow," she said, "I expect that you'll want to have a whole day to yourself to sell, right?" she grinned knowing that by tomorrow Sadie would be feeling a little bit ill or at least a bit weak and maybe a trip to the doctor's would be in order....

She would get her baby soon, one way or another....

After everything was closed up Sadie put her money in her safe and went to her head she then walked with her looking at all the buildings it was pretty impressive their friend had something like this up, especially for someone who didn't work for any of the five Lords. Sadie all so saw people scurrying about going about their day and some were eyeing her, one thing she was surprised by there were no kids or youthlocks running around, the same thing happened when she came to this town previously to look for the missing girl.

But to be fair the people that were asking about her only thought that she could be here and it was more likely the youthlock woman want to the Lord of repair to seek shelter and a job in the main city or one of that lords little territories. Sadie soon got to Susan's house which was impressive it was an old Victorian style home definitely a far cry from the small house Susan had gowning up. "I guess being mayor does have its perks." Sadie with a light smirk.

Susan was happy that she didn't have to work for the Lords despite the various offers she had been giving by them as well as others who seeked her out for whatever reason.  She was known but she wasn't someone famous like the Lords but she didn't want to be.  She prefered to stay under the radar for her own personal reasons and safety.  Being known meant enemies.

Susan was glad that the townspeople or more so the guards made sure that the kids were busy today with something else it meant that she didn't have to worry about Sadie freaking out at all....for now at least.

"Yeah," she said, "it's rather impressive, isn't it?" she grinned, "It even has a large selection of wines down in the basement and whiskey, I'm rather lucky." she opened the door to the house, "Make yourself at home and I'll get to work cooking up something for us," she thought for a moment, "Chicken curry sounds good to you? Or would you prefer some steak? I've got a lot of different things."

When Sadie was in the house she looked around and marveled at it it was quite an impressive house and compliment for her friend, when she heard the word steak, Sadie stomach rumbled and she smiled a bit, "I haven't had steak since before the collapse they are all always so expensive in different territory." While some of the monsters did not eat animals they sometimes did warned and after the collapse everything just went to the chaos it was thanks to the lords that that some kind of normality was starting to return. The lord of agriculture was responsible for providing food to the settlement and the other lords. It was thanks to his hard work that people could get food.

"Steak it is then! One of the perks of being mayor and having our farm is that we can provide for ourselves fairly well but the Lord of Agriculture is still needed here but we're hoping that in a year or two we will be able to sustain the town properly without any help." she said, "Each house gets a good amount of electricity so if you want to look at the DVD collection I've got and put something on while I cook I don't mind at all, also, how do you like your steak?" asked Susan with a grin as she headed into the kitchen to get ready.

Susan grabbed a couple of spices from the shelf.  A few of them containing different things such as a way to make someone weaker overall and then there's a relaxtion powder she could add to weaken Sadie's bladder. It was all so easy and simple. Just a little bit here and there to make Sadie feel a bit off so she could then get her to the doctor's tomorrow who would work her magic to give Susan what she wanted.

It was devious but once she had Sadie trapped she knew that her little girl wouldn't be able to do a single thing against her.  It was genius.
