This shit that Amazon did, should just straight up be illegal.

Yes, I'm in favor of that kind of regulation.

No, regulation does not equal socialism. Nor communism.

But I'm done with all the "muh free market will solve everything" (where 'free' apparently means 'business can do whatever they please; screw anyone who gets the shit end of the stick because of it).

Free market will not solve this. Number one thing people look at when buying anything is price. Everyone does it. Luring people in to Amazon, away from Diapers dotcom by undercutting prices was as easy as a pie, and hardly any customer ever stopped to think about how it's possible to sell diapers so cheaply, if Amazon was making any money off it or at least break even, and whether there's not some shenanigans behind it (at least not enough customers to make a difference did care).

Appealing to personal responsibility (to not buy things from business that do shady shit) of every individual is nothing but a denial of reality said individuals live in.

Nobody has the time and money to do a rigorous research that every single product they buy is reasonably safe, not hazardous to health, environment, and that the business they buy it from is not doing anything unethical. It would be extremely impractical, and in some cases basically impossible, since doing that kind of research can easily get expensive and time consuming. You'd be doing nothing else, and have no time to do any work to even be able to afford anything.

And now that it's public knowledge that Amazon was doing this crooked shit, it's already too late. It's not as if because of it, Amazon customers will now decide to take their business elsewhere in numbers significant enough to put any dent into its profit.

And even if they did, it wouldn't undo the damage that's already been done. Competitor has been destroyed, and a "market solution" after the fact will not fix the livelihoods that were ruined in the first place.

This isn't competing for market share, it is a monopoly by wiping out any and all perceived competition!

After reading about this, I am very hesitant and reluctant to buy anything from Amazon!!! I'll take my money somewhere else....I do not support abuse! ??

You should learn the difference between free market and cronyism. Free Market is the exchange of services for good. What you disturbed is cronyism. More regulation is what happens like we are currently seeing with inflation. You should want less regulation and government to get out of the way of business. How do you think Amazon got to the way it is today? The regulations you seek are the reasons we have giant businesses like Walmart, Amazon, and other major retailers.

America does NOT have a free market no matter how much the government says it is. The government actions speak socialism(or socialism of the 21th century[why do they say "our democracy" instead of "the democracy") more then free. The system that has been made for america is designed to breed monopolys of companys and monopolys of political power and for centeral power to control the means of production. Free markets are designed to naturally prevent monopolys from forming in the first place.

Amazon is merely a result product of such a corrupt system made by those who want to rule forever and disregard and disrespect the worker and the consumer.

Good. Amazon should no be buying everything up. They should be making their own stuff instead.

No where in our constitution does it say Democracy, but it does say Republic everywhere. Also America is totally a Free Market. No one is making you shop at Amazon, and no one is forcing you by government decree that Amazon is the only retailer you are legally allowed to shop at. Monoploys happen everywhere. Check out China. Its a communist country and no free market.
