So here's a loop for you. I like the idea of Sasquatch. The idea of a North American Primate is not that weird to me. One of the things the big guy is famous for is inducing feelings of fear, dread and sometimes even paralysis without even being seen. Scientists, in the recent field of bioacoustics have identified this as infrasound. We know big cats produce it and we know it does produce these effects in humans. So aside from from that, where does the relevance for all that pre-amble come in for us Diaper lovers? Well... I am currently testing and would like the input of any of you sound specialists, audio engineers or others on the idea of low frequency hypnosis. Specifically for diapered bedwetting. It's something I find fascinating. We cannot consciously perceive infrasound but our brain is still affected by it. Would the same hold true for hypnotic suggestion?

Google has turned up surprisingly little though I admit, I may be searching it up wrong. What I have done is run a few hypnotic tracks through Audacity and pitch corrected them at much lower frequency. The only thing I can audibly hear is a sound akin to scratching but theoretically, the track is still playing at a frequency I cannot completely hear. This way I can have it running awake or asleep, kind of 24/7 so it should allegedly affect my subconscious such that whenever I sleep in a diaper, I should be comfortable enough to pee in my sleep. I have been doing this for one day. So.... not that long. From what little I know about hypnosis, part of what gives it... for lack of a better term... its... "power".... is believing it does which I struggle with. I don't entirely believe in it, I just thought it would be fun to try.

But what about you guys? Am I wasting my time? Is Audacity the program I should be using to produce proper low frequency audio? Am I wasting my time? Would I be better off with audible hypnotic triggers? Is hypnosis even a thing? Am I wasting my time?

Please tell me I'm not just wasting my time lol.

It's a very interesting idea. Admittedly, I know little of sound and audio stuff, but I think it's an avenue worth exploring if it interests you.  As to how effective hypnosis is- well, I'd say it's much like Big Foot. The jury is out. Some believe in it, some don't.  I think if it's something someone truly, truly wants (in this example, to be incontinent), repeated listening to hypnosis/ relaxation/ meditating during hypnosis, etc may help give a person a mental boost or a confidence boost in support of their goal. It might help some people, and for other people it won't be much help.  It's not a magic cure-all, a few listens and boom suddenly you're incontinent and diaper dependent. Diaper training/ incontinence, etc can be achieved with dedication and hard work (time and effort) and perhaps hypnosis can help some in the mental effort department.

I don’t think this would work. Infrasound is outside the human ears ability to hear. The theory behind say subliminal hypnosis is that the ears and the brain can hear the audio, just not at a conscious level. Therefore it bypasses the conscious firewalls and affects the mind at the subconscious.

My understanding of why there is a physical reaction is the sound waves themselves traveling through the body. The thing is you need speakers both powerful enough and capable of hitting these low frequencies at sufficient levels to create sound waves that affect the body on a physical level.

The effect, if done correctly should be uncomfortable and unsettling. I doubt the effect is there if you’re able to sleep through it peacefully. Even then it’s a physical reaction not a psychological one. That is the physical sensations release cortisol via the autonomic nervous system without permission from the brain. The brain does get notified via the ANS connection with the brain, but is not in control/initiating the change in hormones.

See or rather hear...

Thank you for the AMAZINGLY informative response!

You are most welcome! I’m glad I was able to share some obscure knowledge and have it be useful.

I would suggest looking at isochronic tones in combination with , say ocean waves. You could use this in combination with a subliminal version of a hypnosis track (in conjunction with regular use) at night, or during the day at different wavelengths that would encourage flow states, amongst others.

It might be the closest to what you’re trying to achieve.
