Offended Or Agree?

Recommended Posts

I'm sort of an AB, but I don't really get what compels people to go into babytalk and roleplay in the main chat. Then again I never really 'got' the babytalk thing at all....

I don't get it either...I find it annoying online and a turn off, but that's my own personal taste. I just don't understand how anyone in our community could be narrow minded and judgmental; we've all suffered enough from society as a whole, why further hurt each other?

Are there things I've seen people here talk about doing that make me uncomfortable? Yes. Some of them so much so I'd rather not say my reactions for fear of hurting someone's feelings myself. But I don't tell them that; I understand that it's what they like, just as what I like might seem odd to them. I would hope everyone here could agree that this place should be a safe haven for all of us.

For my part: Neither. I don't agree, but it doesn't particularly offend me. AB's like to act like babies, and some people with developmental delays act like babies, so there's some natural resemblence. So why be offended? Whatever.

But the motivation isn't to act like we're developmentally delayed; it's to act like babies. You could just as reasonably ask why developmentally delayed people act like AB's, but that would be silly.

(Also kind of silly: Any diaper lover implying that adult babies are weird. Yeah, yeah--I'm such a very black kettle...)

I am only a little offended. I don't agree with that person. Just something we like and doesn't mean we are acting mentally disabled. Not at all. It is actually just AB And DL that is all. My non-ab/dl friends and they don't want to talk about it either tell me, that I should change myself for anyone. I am my own person.

what makes me be me. You all know that.

I am only a little offended. People just don't understand. Had people tell me morally wrong. Why :)

nothing hurting anyone and nothing illegal and nothing even against God. Just against people being afraid of their younger side. Maybe also because when children we are forced away from diapers and pacifiers. But only because they don't want to always pay for diapers and change them. And pacifier because of teeth problems and also because young children don't use them at at not appropriate times like when should be talking or dropping it all the time. But truly nothing intrinsicly wrong with it. Nothing at all.

Only reason it seems like mentally disabled or disabled doesn't mean anything relating to ab/dl just that some have to use diapers or cannot comprehend another 2 understand and they like childish things because they are children mentally. But liking goes things doesn't necessarily mean disabled or mentally disabled.

And I am physically disabled and that definitely doesn't mean mentally disabled. I have computer programming college degrees.

So today in the chatroom someone, who is obviously a member of the community and most likely a DL since they made a comment about us Abs, decided that they were going to say some things about us ABs. This person, who I will remain nameless, wanted to know why ABs need to act like they have special needs and developmental disabilities. I myself, being an AB, find this rather rude and offensive, and I personally do not think that I have special needs etc. or even act this way during roleplaying.....

So I guess what I want to know is what are your thoughts on this? Do you find this to be offensive as an AB or do you agree with what was said?

My only "special need" is tolerance! ...and a restroom to change my diaper in.

Who needs a restroom when you got benches to change on! lol..... one can dream can't they?

Yes, talking about changing diapers on a Park bench.

One time I was leaving a restaurant and going into the parking lot to our vehicle. Well there was this younger couple late 20s and they just put a changing pad on the hood of their car and started changing their baby. We were very surprised. They seemed like no big deal. Some walking by seemed to not care either. We didn't really watch but from the diaper there was poop and urine in the diaper. Like they couldn't just take their baby into the restroom fold out walls changing table. Stuffed of the windows on restaurant faced the parking lot. Boy imagine having dinner and then that scenery. <_<

Just thinking about how changing a baby in public is no big deal to many people and just natural. But even knowing an adult changing a diaper in private sends shivers up people's back. Well ab/dl people, it doesn't send shivers up our backs. Well not those kind of shivers anyway.

And even considering people that have no choice but to use Depends like products and adult diapers it disgustes some people.

Maybe it is just that it just is so much forced into people's sub conscious when we are all children being trained away from diapers and pacifiers. That people cannot get over it.

Another example but not really related to ab/dl . Did anyone ever see the movie GI-Jane. The scene where they are going to let Jane be in the same barracks as the men. The one man was totally disgusted that he might have to know that there is a box of Tampons in view. Well, grow up.

Well in the same sense maybe the non-ab/dl people are the ones that need actually grow up. ;)

I have:

Worchester Draught Syndrome

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Short Term Memory Loss

Dyspraxia

Although I have managed to get over most of those or at least the symptoms of them. That list is probs why Im an AB lol
