Adoption Troubles (private)

[Ishigreensa]

Ezrine had never seen a cart like this before.  In her part of Nepal, the markets and the way of doing things were completely different.  She smiled when Frank put her in the seat of the cart, though technically, she was probably pushing the age, that even in America, it would be considered in appropriate, but she didn't know that.

She held her doll close to her as they started to walk through the store.

Sana looked up at Patty and nodded with a smile.  Of course she would walk.  How else was an eleven year old supposed to walk through a market whether on the street or in a building?

She reached out though and took Patty's hand.

Patty took Sana's hand and Frank pushed the cart through the store. They started in the produce section and put strawberries, blueberries and grapes in the cart. She waved her hand over the counters in the store.

"Like anything?" She asked Sana and Ezrine.

[Ishigreensa]

Sana smiled and pointed at the bananas and melons.

Ezrine pointed at the melons and the grapes.

As they walked through, and the girls saw the hamburger, Ezrine frowned at it.  She crossed her arms and looked up at Frank.

She made a face at it.

Sana saw the hamburger, though, she reached for it to put it in the cart....

Neither of the girls have actually seen candy before, so they were not interested in the candy aisle at all, and even in the bread aisle, they seemed confused by all the choices and didn't understand why bread was susposed to be sweet.

Patty put several melons, bananas and grapes in the cart. She got vegetables as well. When they got to the meat department Frank smiled at Ezrine and shrugged his shoulders. Patty put some hamburger in the cart along with chicken and pork 

Frank did pick up some candy, going down that aisle after leaving the cart with Patty at the bread. She picked out a couple different loafs and got rice and beans and pasta.they picked up juice as well.

Finally they headed to the checkouts.

As they walked towards the check out, Sana looked up at Patty and frowned.  She didn't know how to tell her that for the last thirty minutes, she had had to pee.  She looked around, but didn't see a bathroom.  She started to squirm in place.

Ezrine looked up at Frank when he picked up some candy not knowing what it was.

She pointed at it and looked into his eyes.

She said something in her own language that meant "That?" but as it was not something they had heard before, Frank wasn't likely to know what she said.

Pasty saw Sana squirm but continued to the checkouts.

Frank saw Ezrine point at the candy.

"It's candy. Sweet. I'll give you some in the car." Frank said.

When they got into the checkout line Patty looked for the bathrooms. She saw a sign pointing to the bathrooms.

"Can you handle checking out? I'm going to take Sana to the bathroom." Patty said.

"Sure." Frank said.

Patty started leading Sana to the bathroom.

Sana followed Patty because she was leading her.

Eventually, when they went into the strange room with lots of cubicals, she looked up at Patty.  She hoped Patty was going to show her what she was supposed to do here.

She was squirming and holding herself, but she had not started to leak yet.

 

Ezrine reached into the cart and started to hand the cashier stuff to ring up, at least as long as she could reach it.  When it got too low or far away, she just sighed and looked up at Frank.

Patty took Sana into the bathroom. She opened one of the stalls and took her in. She started taking Sana's pants off for her.

"Go ahead and use the toilet honey." Patty said.

Frank smiled as Ezrine emptied the cart, giving it to the cashier. When the cart started to empty, Frank started eating the food to give the cashier.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana nodded up at the nice lady, and she sat on the toilet to go.

When she peed, she put her hand on her lower stomach and squinted.

 

Ezrine waited patiently for the cart to empty, but suddenly, she held her arms out and whimpered at him.  Since she was sure he wouldn't understand her if she tried to talk, she figured a whimper might get his attention a little quicker.

[robehouse]

Patty saw Sana  make a face and hold her stomach. She waited to see if Sana was okay.

 

Frank had just given Ezrine the last item to give to the cashier when she whimpered. He handed the item to the cashier and picked Ezrine up. 

"Potty?" Frank asked.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Ezrine didn't know what potty meant.  

She tried to squirm to get down.  She didn't want to have a problem in his arms, either.

As she squirmed to get down, she tried to keep hold of his hand, wanting to drag him with her towards where Patty had taken Sana.

 

Sana grunted and held her stomach for a few more minutes, and then looked up .

She had not pooped, but somehow, she seemed to have stopped hurting for the moment.

[robehouse]

Frank set Ezrine down and paid for the groceries. The cashier put the groceries in the cart and Frank took Ezrine to the bathrooms. He knocked on the girls bathroom door.

"Honey, Ezrine needs to use the bathroom. Can you get her?" Frank asked.

 

Patty pointed to the toilet paper for Sana to wipe herself. She heard Frank and opened the door enough to take Ezrine's hand and bring her in the bathroom and over to the stall.

Ezrine looked up at the adults as they handed her off.

Then, when Patty took her to a stall, Ezrine smiled and went in, but she wasn't used to bathrooms like these just yet.  She looked up at Patty when she was in there, and she looked kind of lost.

Sana wiped herself with toilet paper as she was instructed, and then she pulled up her clothes.  As she did so, there was a bit of dampness on the front of her panties, but other than being a little yellow stained and damp, it wouldn't show through what she wore as she had not peed that much.

[robehouse]

Patty smiled at Ezrine and helped her take off her pants and then lifted her onto the toilet. 

"There you go." Patty said.

Patty checked on Sana, then pointed to the sink, rubbing her hands together. 

Frank got the shopping cart and waited outside the bathrooms for the girls to come out.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Ezrine smiled up at Patty when she put her on the toilet and she started to go right then.

Sana nodded and went to the sink and turned on the tap.  It was a bit of a shock ot her at first when actual hot water came from the tap.  Sure, maybe at home, hot water was natural, but hot water in a public bathroom?  Really?

She quickly adjusted the knobs and then started to wash her hands.

Ezrine looked up at Patty.

She got down off of the toilet, but had not yet wiped her bottom.

[robehouse]

Patty watched Sana wash her hands for a minute before turning back to Ezrine. Patty held her hand out to stop Ezrine from dressing herself. She got some toilet paper and wiped Ezrine. She tossed the toilet paper in the toilet and flushed.

Patty helped Ezrine get dressed and took her over to the sink. She started the water and put Ezrine's hands under the faucet.

"Wash." Patty said.

Sana waited by the sink while Patty worked with Ezrine.

Ezrine frowned when she stopped her and wiped her.  Ezrine wasn't a baby.  But she didn't know how to say anything, so she just looked up at the woman as she wiped her, and then redressed her.  Then, the lady took her to the sink and practically made her feel that she was a toddler by showing her that she needed to wash her hands.

Ezrine nodded and put her hands under the sink, but where she is from, she was not used to having soap available, and so missed it as she started to wash her hands.

[robehouse]

Patty pointed to the soap dispenser, squirting a little soap pin her hands and washing them. She got a paper towel and dried her hands. She got another one ready for Ezrine.

"You can go wait with Frank if you want, Sana." Patty said.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana didn't want to.  

She stayed right there with Patty being a little nervous of being on her own.

She felt lucky to have been put with these people, and she didn't want to take the chance of different people that would not be as kind taking her.

She looked down at the floor though, afraid that Patty might yell at her for not obeying her.  She understood wait and Frank, so she thought the woman was telling her to leave the bathroom for sure, but she didn't want to.

[robehouse]

Patty gave describe the paper towel so she could dry her hands. She opened the bathroom door and led them out to the cart. Frank smiled at the girls and lifted Ezrine into the seat again.

Frank pushed the cart out to the car and took Ezrine out of the cart. He put the groceries in the back as Patty opened the doors for Ezrine and Sana to get in.

In a few minutes they were on their way home.

Sana held Patty's hand to the car again, and she smiled up at her when it seemed she wasn't going to yell at her for not wanting to leave the bathroom by herself.  She just felt much safer being with either Patty or Frank.  They were both really nice people, and had been a lot more parental like towards them than anyone else they had encountered after Sana's Kidnapping.

As they drove along towards home, Sana and Ezrine started to play some kind of hand slapping game that though it was different words in their own language, the game seemed to be the same for them.

They started to laugh by the time they were half way home.

On the way home Frank went through the drive thru at chick fil A and got chicken sandwiches, fries and soft drinks to take home. 

When they got home Patty opened the back door to let Sana and Ezrine out. Frank started getting the groceries out of the car. Patty took a bag and held it out to Sana.

"Carry inside." Patty said, pointing into the house.

Frank did the same to Ezrine.

[Ishigreensa]

Sana looked up at her and then seeing the bag presented to her, she nodded and took the bag.

Ezrine watched what was happening with Patty and Sana carefully, and when Sana took the bag and started towards the house, she realized what Frank wanted.

Ezrine took the bag he gave her and she started to walk behind Sana.

When they got to the door, they waited for someone to come and open it for them.

[robehouse]

Patty got a couple bags of groceries and came to the front door. She unlocked the door and led the girls inside as Frank got the rest of the groceries and the food for lunch.

Patty took Ezrine and Sana to the kitchen and set her bags on the table and motioned for Ezrine and Sana to do the same. She started to put the food away.

Frank came in and put everything on the table and hugged both girl's.

"Hungry?" Frank asked.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana came in behind her, and with a bit of effort, but her bags on the table.

Ezrine couldn't quite reach the table, and while she tried, puitting the bag on the edge of the table, some stuff spilled out of the top of the bag at her and she was stuck unable to move the bag further onto the table so it wouldn't fall, so she had to just stay there like that until Patty turned and saw that she needed help.  Sana didn't know how to help her either, really, expect to pick up the stuff that fell on the floor and put it on the table for Patty.

Ezrine started to sniffle afraid she had not done it the way Patty wanted her to do it.  Stuff kept falling out of the bag on her while she held it waiting for help.
