Adoption Troubles (private)

[robehouse]

Frank smiled at Ezrine as she came over to him and sat on his lap. He resisted the urge to give her a hug. Instead he started to hum a lullaby softly, barely audible. 

Patty saw Sana come out, then sit down and keep watching Frank and Ezrine. Patty looked over at Sana and patted her lap.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Ezrine didn't know the lullaby, but it was soothing.  She started to relax.  She reached up and took one of his hands and placed it on her stomach, and then she settled in and closed her little eyes.  She started to breath a little heavy and in minutes, she was sleeping again.

 

Sana smiled when Patty patted her lap at her.  She nodded and walked over across the room, and she leaned against the woman.  

"Home?" she asked her actually wondering if the woman would take her back to her family.  She wasn't sure that the woman understood what limited English she knew though.

[robehouse]

Frank let Ezrine put his hand in her then felt her fall asleep. He gently put his other arm gently over her as well and let her sleep. He looked over as Sana came over to Patty and sat on her lap.

Patty smiled as Sana said home, misunderstanding her. She waved her hand around the room.

"Home." Patty repeated.

[Ishigreensa]

Sana shook her head.

"No, home," she said pointing at herself.  "Home."

She wanted desperately to see her mother, her father, and her sisters and brother again.

Sighing thinking that maybe Patty was telling her that she would never return back home, she looked down at her lap and felt tears starting to build up in her eyes.

[robehouse]

When Sana pointed at herself when she said home Patty frowned. Not knowing her mom was still alive Patty thought she was just homesick for where she had come from. She hugged Sana as she started to cry 

After a couple of minutes Patty slowly stood up, holding Sana in her arms. She went over to the bookshelf and found an atlas. She sat down on the couch and held Sana on her lap. She opened the atlas to a map of the world. Patty pointed to where they were at on the map of the United States.

"Home." Patty said, then ran her hand over the rest of the map.

"Sana home?" Patty asked.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana couldn't read English.  She had to stare at the map for a long time to get an idea of where things were.  Then she shook a little in disbelief as she realized just how far away from home she was.

"Sana home," she pointed at Thailand.  "Sana home...." she looked through Thailand carefully.  She still could not read it, but after a while, she made a guess the best she could, and pointed right in the middle of the landmass but where there were no large cities nearby.

She started to cry even more, her voice now becoming whiney.  

She turned her head and cried into Patty's chest.

[robehouse]

Patty watched as Sana pointed out Thailand. She had a feeling that it was more than being homesick for her country that was making Sana cry. She wrapped her arms around Sana and let her cry, not knowing what else to do.

Frank adjusted Ezrine on his lap and frowned as he watched Sana cry. His heart went out to her.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana eventually cried herself to sleep.

Ezrine didn't stir at all, and slept in Frank's lap.

[robehouse]

Patty and Frank stayed where they were for a little bit, then Frank slowly got up and moved everyone to the couch to hopefully continue sleeping. He came over and picked up Sana carefully and moved her as well. Patty got up and went with Frank to the kitchen. They sat down to have coffee and discuss Sana's acting out. The living room was still visible from where they were.

"What were you two looking at that got her so upset?" Frank wondered.

"It was a map of the world. I wanted her to point out where her home was. After a bit she pointed to Thailand." Patty said.

"Well there's something in Thailand that upsets her. I wish she knew English or we knew her language, whatever it is." Frank said.

"Me too. Another problem we have is where are Ezrine and Sana going to sleep tonight? " Patty wondered.

"Yeah, we don't want to set them off again. There's a lot going on with those girls that we don't know about. We can try letting them sleep with us tonight." Frank suggested.

"That's an idea. Not sure how they will react though." Patty said.

They continued talking while the girls slept.

Some time into the evening while Frank and Patty were talking, Ezrine started to fit in her sleep.

She rolled and she raised her arms out.  She whimpered and said words that were not understandable.  She whimpered, and then she peed on the sofa all while asleep.  Somehow, she managed not to fall off of the sofa though she turned and kicked about.

 

Sana looked like she was sleeping peacefully, but she was actually dreaming about her abduction.

The sky was clear.  Sana was walking along a dirt road along with other children, going to school which was over a two hour trip through the middle of nowhere.  At one point, they all stopped at the river and started to take off their shirts and pants, all the boys and girls together.  Those that were faster, were being helped across the river by an older boy and an older girl.  One older child was carrying the clothes of all the kids in a plastic bag on his head.  And Sana had gone behind a bush to go pee.  Even if her under clothes got wet in the water, she didn't want to pee in them.  She was afraid she would smell like pee the rest of the day if she did that.

Sana had just finished peeing and was about to pull up her panties, when everything suddenly went dark.

She was suddenly jarred awake by the event and screamed!

The sofa was soaked around her between Ezrine and Sana.  Sana thought she had done it in her sleep because of the nightmare, but it was really just pee from Ezrine.

Sana started crying.

[robehouse]

Frank and Patty were watching the girls while they are talking but weren't close enough to see that Ezrine had wet herself. It wasn't until Sana started to cry that they really looked over. They stood up and walked to the couch. They saw the wet spot and looked at each other.

"You take Ezrine, I'll get Sana." Patty said.

Patty went over to Sana and lifted her off the couch. Patty sat down and held Sana on her lap.

"Shh, it's okay." Patty said, hugging Sana.

Frank came over to Ezrine. He reached down and touched her.

"Wake up, honey." Frank said.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana hugged Patty and cried into her shoulder for a few minutes.  She missed her parents, and she missed her school friends.  She felt down at her pants where they were wet from Ezrine, and she shook from the sobs.

Eventually, she did calm down enough to look up Patty.

"I sorry," she said looking up at her with sad eyes.

 

Ezrine woke almost as soon as Frank touched her, and she looked at him scared.  She tried to scoot away from him putting her little hands over her wet dress and trying to keep her panties covered.  She shivered as she looked up at him like a frighten rabbit, cornered by a rabbid dog about to make its killing blow.

[robehouse]

Patty hugged Sana as she cried. She saw her look down at her wet pants and smiled at her as she looked up and apologized She put her finger to Sana's mouth.

"No sorry. It's okay. Not mad. Sana bath? Pajamas?" Patty asked.

 

Frank didn't know to do at first. It was clear that she was upset about being wet and afraid she was going to be punished. Frank stepped back away from the couch.

"Ezrine not bad. Ezrine good girl. It's okay. Not mad at Ezrine." Frank said quietly, hoping to calm Ezrine down.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana looked up at Patty and watched her carefully.  She had to work out some of the words that Patty said, but eventually, she nodded knowing what Patty said.  She reached out and hugged her again.

"Bath."

 

Ezrine didn't understand any of Frank's words, but she did understand that he stepped back and he looked worried but his face was soft rather than hard.  He didn't mean anything harsh.  She still wasn't sure about him getting too close though.  She didn't want him to touch her in a strange way that sometimes people that handled her did.

Sana looked over at Ezrine and Frank.

"Frank no um..." she couldn't say the word she wanted.  "No... um... Ezrine.  Ezrine... Patty?  Sana... Patty?" she asked.

[robehouse]

Patty smiled at Sana, hugging her back. She moved Sana so Sana's feet touched the floor.

"Sana walk?" Patty asked.

Frank looked over at Sana and listened to her. He nodded and stepped back further from the couch.

"Why don't you get pajamas for the girls and put them in our room, then maybe get a snack ready for the girls? Maybe cookies and juice? No milk." Patty told Frank.

He nodded and went to the girls bedroom. Patty held her hand out to Ezrine.

"Ezrine, come. Bath. Sana bath. Okay?" Patty said.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Ezrine looked up at Patty. “Bath?” She repeated. 

Sana nodded at Ezrine and took her hand to lead her where Patty wanted them to go. 

Patty had already changed them once and she was nice about putting them in panties, so while the girls were a little unsure about her, they trusted her more than they did anyone else. 

The girls went right into the bathroom, and while Sana started to undress immediately, Ezrine just looked up at Patty with innocent little eyes raising her arms up at her. 

[robehouse]

Patty took Sana and Ezrine to the bathroom. She let go of Sana's hand and started filling the tub with water. When she looked back at the girls Ezrine hast her hands up. Patty smiled and took off Ezrine's dress, putting it in the dirty clothes hamper. She then took off her panties.

Patty turned off the water in the tub and lifted Ezrine up, setting her in the tub. She added a couple of bath toys in the water. Patty took Sana's hand to help her into the tub.

Frank went to the dresser and took out two pairs of pajamas and two panties, then took them over to the master bedroom. He walked downstairs to fix a snack.

After the girls were in the tub, they looked at each other for a minute, and then they smiled.

You don't have to know how to speak the same language to play together.  The girls each took one of the toys and started floating them around in circles at each other and laughing about it.

Ezrine's laugh was a high squeal start and then a giggling cut-cut laugh.  

Sana's laugh started out very low and almost inaudible, then the giggles came fast and strong, and then got so much energy that it seemed the energy was too much for sound, and there were moments of silent hysteria before she came back down and the sound started to catch up again, cut-cut giggling until she thought of another funny thing to do to make them both laugh again.

They didn't fight Patty washing them, but just played around her, making silly faces and putting the bath toys in positions they thought was funny and even squirting or splashing each other.

Unfortunately, that meant they splashed Patty more than once, and she was wet all over her shirt and the upper part of her pants.

[robehouse]

Patty smiled as she watched the girls play with the toys. She liked their laughs. She let them play for awhile before starting to wash them. 

Patty splashed them back playfully. She washed them as best she could with them sitting in the tub. When she was done she let them play for a few more minutes, getting towels to dry them off.

[Ishigreensa]

The girls were having such a good time, they didn't notice when Patty had finished washing them, and they kept playing.

Finally, they saw her come back with a couple of towels, and they smiled up at her.

Ezrine stood up and reached out for her making grabby with her small hands.

Sana climbed carefully out of the tub and reached for a towel.

[robehouse]

Patty was ready for them when they stepped out of the tub. She handed Sana a towel and wrapped Ezrine in another. She rubbed her dry then got another towel and dried Ezrine's hair.

Patty gave Ezrine a hug and wrapped her in a towel. She took her hand and started from the room. She looked at Sana, motioning with her hand.

"Come." Patty said.

She led them to the master bedroom where the panties and pajamas were waiting.

 

[Ishigreensa]

When they approached another bedroom, Ezrine started to shake and cry.

Sana stopped at the doorway and peered in, nervously, and shook her head no.

They didn't want to go in there.  It was not a safe place.

They had been all smiles until Patty led them there, and while Ezrine was holding Patty's hand and so was afraid to pull away, she just followed her in, but she shook like crazy and whined out in protest quite loudly.

[robehouse]

Patty didn't see Sana stop before entering the bedroom and saw Ezrine shaking and whimpering. She quickly brought everyone back into the hall. She gave them both a hug. 

Patty went back into the bedroom and got the clothes. She bright them out to the hall. She showed the girls the pajamas and panties. She held Sana out to her.

"Pajamas." Patty said.

 

[Ishigreensa]

Sana reached for the pajamas and started to put them on if she was let to do so, though she was shaking, still, a little bit.

Ezrine looked up at Patty, still shaking a little bit, but quite a bit less when she was brought back into the hall with the pajamas.  She raised her arms up for Patty like a good girl, waiting to be dressed.

It wasn't so much the room that scared them, as it was the bed.

Sana had slept in a bed before being kidnapped and among many bad things, finally adopted out, but recently, a bed only reminded her of the bad things that the kidnappers did.

Ezrine had never seen a western style bed until she was kidnapped, and so she didn't know that a bed was for sleeping in....

[robehouse]

Patty held the panties out for Ezrine to step into and pulled them. She put her pajama bottoms on her and then her top. Patty then helped Sana finish getting dressed.

"There we go. Let's go get a snack okay?" Patty said, putting her hand near her mouth, mimicking eating something.

Patty took both Ezrine's and Sana's hand and walked to the kitchen. Frank had set out two glasses of juice and two plates with a couple of cookies each on them.
