Mya's College Adoption

[robehouse]

"Good girl."Stephanie said.

"Alright, it will be a couple of minutes." Stephanie said.

Stephanie undressed Mya, then laid Mya on the changing table, fastening her down. She untaped the diaper and took it off. Stephanie cleaned up Mya and taped a clean diaper on her. She got Mya off the changing table and dressed her again.

"Are you ready, baby?" Stephanie cooed, giving Mya a kiss on the cheek.

[Lillybaby]

Mya head bubbles. She was good during her change. Happy to be out of a wet diaper. 

“ yes I’m ready mommy. Make sure you come back please “ mya said. 

[robehouse]

"I will baby. In the meantime you have Bubbles." Stephanie slipped the pacifier in Mya's mouth.

Stephanie carried Mya out to the classroom. She walked over to Ms. Thomas.

"Okay, she's ready." Stephanie said.

[Lillybaby]

( when Stephanie leaves can you play the teacher ) 

nya nodded and held bubbles. 

Ms.thomas smiled and walked over to maya. “ okay class I’m going to demonstrate exactly how to swaddle a baby.” Me. Thomas said. 

 

[robehouse]

Stephanie handed nuts to Ms. Thomas and left the room. Megan smiled at Mya.

"Swaddling isn't used as much today, but it is good to quiet a fussy baby. First you need a baby blanket. Mya, may we use your blanket?" Ms. Thomas asked.

[Lillybaby]

Mya handed her blanket to me.thomas. She looked around the room for her mommy. She forgot that she said she could stay by herself now she was scared and about to start crying. 

Kayla watched. “ ms.thomas can we try when your done” 

[robehouse]

"Thank you, Mya." Ms. Thomas said.

She laid the blanket out on the table and laid Mya down. She gently took Bubbles from Mya and laid her next to her. Ms. Thomas started wrapping Mya in the blanket, making sure everyone could see and explaining each step.

"I think it might be best if you all tried it on stuffed animals first and then I'll let a couple of you try swaddling the real baby, if that's okay with her." Ms. Thomas said.

Mya wipes her tears. She ducked her pacifier. She didn’t like the swaddling at all. She started to cry being swaddled trying to move around. 

“ no I don’t like this “ she said with a whine. She was acting like a real baby. 

Kayla watched. “ aww look how cute she is crying “ 

[robehouse]

"Since this is the baby's first time being swaddled, she is going to cry, but babies really are comforted like this. The baby will calm down in a few minutes and may even fall asleep." Ms. Thomas explained 

"Why don't each of you get a stuffed animal and blanket so you can practice?"

Megan got herself a bear and blanket and started swaddling it.

[Lillybaby]

Kayla got a bear and started to swaddled it two. 

Mya actually did calm down after sucking her pacifier some. She tried to grab bubbles but couldn’t reach. “ bubbles “ she said. 

[robehouse]

Megan swaddled her bear as well. When Mya asked for bubbles, Ms. Thomas pulled the blanket back and laid Bubbles down on nuts and swaddled her again.

Ms. Walked around the room checking everyone's swaddling job.

May cuddles her bear and ended up falling asleep for some of the class. The swaddling actually worked. 

 Kayla finished her swaddling and looked at mya. “ aww she sleeping “ 

[robehouse]

Ms. Thomas checked Kayla's swaddling. 

"Good job, Kayla."

Ms. Thomas looked at Mya ama smiled.

"Let's let her sleep. Babies do need a lot of sleep."

Ms. Thomas had the class read some more while Mya slept.

[Lillybaby]

Kayla smiled from the praise. She wadid chef as mya slept. She was happy to finally have a class baby. 

Mya woke up 20 minutes later in a wet diaper. “ mommy “ she called out forgets where she was. 

[robehouse]

Ms. Thomas heard Mia and came over to her. She took her out of the swaddle and checked Mya's diaper.

"How about I get you changed?" Ms. Thomas cooed.

[Lillybaby]

“ where’s mommy. “ mya asked as she stretched from the swaddle. She held bubbles up to her. She looked around the clas watching everyone. 

[robehouse]

"She's in class, sweetie. Don't you remember, she went to class so you can get used to being in the class without her? She'll be back shortly." Ms. Thomas said. 

Ms. Thomas took Bubbles from Mya, then picked her up, as well as her blanket.

"Let's go get your diaper changed. The class can watch from the window, if that's alright with you, Mya." Ms. Thomas said 

[Lillybaby]

Mya frowned from hearing that she had forgot. “ yea I remember “ mya said. 

When her bear was taking she started to cry agian. “ bubbles “ she whined. 

“ okay and when’s lunch time. I’m hungry. They can watch “ mya said. She grabbed her bear. She didn’t even realize how wet her diaper was. She wondered if she already lost control. 

[robehouse]

Ms. Thomas took Mya to the changing table. She took off her onesie and laid Mya down. She gave Bubbles to Mya.

Ms. Thomas explained the process of changing a baby as she took off Mya's diaper and started cleaning her.

[Lillybaby]

Mya cover d her face while she was changed. She was still very nervous going being changed. 

Kayla raised her hand. “ ms.Thomas  when changing a baby can you give the a bottle to keep them from movie by around “ Kayla asked. 

[robehouse]

"Yes, that's one way. You can distract the baby with a bottle, or toys or even just by playing them. Baby Mya said she was hungry, so let's see if she'll take a bottle." Ms. Thomas said.

She took a bottle out of the warmer and held it out to Mya.

"Here you are  baby. Would you like your bottle?" Ms. Thomas cooed.

[Lillybaby]

Mya uncovered her face. She looked at the bottle. “ sippy cup please “ She said. She could that she wasn’t going to get one so she took the bottle instead and began drinking it. 

Kayla watched as mya drank. “ what if the baby refuses like nya did in the beginning “ 

[robehouse]

Ms. Thomas heard Mya but wiggled the nipple of the bottle against her mouth until it's finally started drinking.

"If she is fussy and refuses the bottle at first, you try again. If she keeps refusing, take the bottle away. You don't want to make the baby mad or upset." Ms. Thomas explained.

She finished cleaning Mya, and slid s clean diaper under her.

Mya drank the bottle slowly. After a couple sips she took the bottle out and threw it on the ground. 

Kayla watched as mya threw her bottle on the ground. She wondered what ms.thomas would do. 

[robehouse]

Ms. Thomas sprinkled powder on nuts and taped her diaper closed. She snapped up her onesie and picked up Mya. She picked up the bottle and cleaned off the nipple. 

Ms. Thomas sat down and put the nipple up to Mya's mouth. 

"Come on baby. Drink your milk." She said.
