Grace went over to him to cuddle. She had to admit, she did need a cuddle.

Jimmy pulled Grace on to his lap. He started cuddling with her.

"It's okay, baby. Just relax and lay your head against me."

Jimmy rubbed Grace's back.

Grace relaxed as he said, and rested her head against his chest. She just cuddled and didn't really pay attention to the TV, like a toddler would sometimes when being cuddled.

Jimmy adjusted Grace in his arms to make it more comfortable for him and her. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and patted her bottom.

"You can close your eyes if you want. Just do whatever makes you comfortable, baby."

Grace couldn't help but put her thumb in her mouth. After all he said too do whatever made her feel comfortable. She closed her eyes when he started to Pat her bottom gently.

Jimmy smiled as Grace slipped her thumb in her mouth.

"That's right, baby. It's okay to suck your thumb in front of us, yes it is. It's perfectly natural, isn't it?" Jimmy cooed softly in Grace's ear.

Jimmy kept patting Grace's bottom.

Grace's face turned pink when he said it was natural and such. She didn't he was watching her. And she couldn't just take her thumb out now.

Jimmy kissed Grace's forehead.

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about, baby. If you feel like sucking your thumb, do it. No one is going to make fun of you."

Jimmy patted her bottom a couple more times to reassure her. He looked up at Alexis and nodded with a smile.

"Yes, we've been here, the whole time, haven't we baby?"

Grace seemed to relax a little at what he said. She opened her eyes hearing Alexis.

While Grace was looking at Alexis, Jimmy mouthed the words 'Potty time?' to Alexis so Grace wouldn't see.

Jimmy moved Grace on his lap so he would be more comfortable.

Alexis nodded. Grace took her thumb out of her mouth to get a drink of milk in her sippy cup

Jimmy smiled and stopped patting Grace's bottom and waited for her to put her cup down. When he did, He slowly stood Grace on the floor.

"Baby, It's been a long time since you used the potty. You used it right after breakfast, but the next time we put you on the potty, you didn't use it, did you? Let's set you on the potty and see if you can go pee pee or poo poo for us. It would be nice to get some m&m's, wouldn't it."

Jimmy started to pull her pants down.

Grace was confused when she was put on the floor. "Yeah I wanna get mnms but I don't wanna use that potty. I wanna use the big girl toilet." Grace says. She whined when he started to pull down her pants. "No! I don't wanna use it " Grace says.

"Honey, please try to use the potty for us. You don't want to wet your training pants, do you? Let's see if you can get your pee in the potty, okay? If you are upset or scared, go ahead and suck your thumb until you calm down. It will be okay."

Jimmy got her pants down and lifted her onto the potty. He knelt down next to her and rubbed her back.

"Come on, baby. Show us what a good girl you are."

Grace screeched whined, she tried to get up but Jimmy kept her down firmly.

Jimmy smiled as he heard Grace's pee hit the potty.

"That's a good girl, baby! You're making pee in the potty aren't you? Yes you are! Are you going to trying to poop too so you can all of your m&m's?" Jimmy cooed softly to Grace.

"That's right, Suck your thumb. That makes you feel better, doesn't it?"

Grace tried to poop when he asked if she was going to poop as well. She nodded, it did make her feel better. She was starting to poop a little.

Jimmy could tell Grace was trying hard to poop.

"That's it, baby. Push hard.If it's too difficult we can give you some medicine to help make it easier to poop."

Jimmy rubbed Grace's back some more.

"No medicine..." Grace said. She took another minute to push the rest out.

Jimmy heard the poop fall in the potty and clapped his hands.

"Good job, baby!"

Jimmy took the wipes and helped Grace up. He wiped her bottom using several wipes and pulled Grace's training pants up again.

"That wasn't so bad, was it? Go ahead and get your m&m's."

Grace whined softly when he started to wipe her. This was her last favorite part but she was glad he was done and pulled up her pants. She went over to Alexis for her candy.

"Good girl. You remembered to be polite, didn't you? You always say thank you if someone gives you something or does something for you. I'm proud of you. What should we do now, Alexis?"

"Well you two could play the little piggy game again or you could help Grace read the story books I got her." Alexis says

"Why don't we read the books together. Would you like that Grace?"

Jimmy gets the story books and takes Grace over to the couch. He sits down and pulls Grace on his lap and opens one of the books. He shows Grace the picture and starts reading the story.

Alexis turned off the TV and watched them fondly. Grace looked at the book and followed the words he was reading, she also looked at the pictures.
