Lost in the land of the free

[Ishigreensa]

"We're having blue-berry pancakes, oatmeal, and eggs, honey."

She turned off the eggs and turned around to help her little girl.

"Come here, baby."

She walked over to the table and sat in a chair so she could be more Kim's changing level while she was standing, and then she reached out to take off her pants for her.

"You wet your pants in the night, sweetie," she told her gently.

Kim came over to Brenda when she sat down and let her change her. She just nodded when Brenda suggested diapers.

[Ishigreensa]

Brenda was glad that Kim wasn't too upset about the diapers, and she put Kim in a chair at the table after dressing her.

"Here we are, baby."

She then went to the sink, washed her hands, and then brought the food over and put it in front of Kim.

"Go ahead and eat, baby."

She then got herself some, and came to join Kim.

Kim let Brenda dress her and let her put her in a chair. She smiled as Brenda set the food in front of her and picked up the fork to start eating.

"Thank you for breakfast, Aunt Brenda."

[Ishigreensa]

"You're very welcome, sweetie," Brenda said.

[robehouse]

Kim nodded. She figured Brenda knew what needed to be done, so she just left it up to her.

Kim ate her food.

"Can I have some milk please?"

[Ishigreensa]

"Of course you can, honey.

[robehouse]

"Yes Aunt Brenda."

Kim was used to other people getting her things except when she had run away. She was glad that Brenda went ahead and got her milk for her.

"Thank you."

[Ishigreensa]

(They just had breakfast, so it's still morning. I thought Brenda was taking Kim shopping and register her for school?)

[Ishigreensa]

(No problem)

Kim nodded when Brenda said she would get her registered for school first. She was nervous as she didn't know what school would be like. She let Brenda get her ready to go out.

[Ishigreensa]

It took about two hours to get to the school, get all the papers filled out, get set up for immunizations because she had no records for immunizations, and finally, they were on the way to the local K-mart.

"It looks like you need a lot of things for school, honey."

She pulled into the K-mart parking lot and took the girl by the hand to lead her into the store.

Kim shook as they were at the school getting everything set up. She was glad when they left and went to Kmart. She got out of the car and took Brenda's hand.

[Ishigreensa]

They walked through the stationery area, Brenda waiting to see what kind of notebooks, and stuff Kim wanted.

Kim looked at the different notebooks and other school supplies. She saw some with cartoon characters on them and pointed at a couple of them.

"Aunt Brenda, what grade will I be in?"

[Ishigreensa]

"I think you are going into the sixth grade, honey," she said.

[robehouse]

"Okay," Kim said.

She wasn't sure what grade she should be in, since she hadn't been to school in over a year now. She trusted Brenda though.

"Are we getting clothes now too, or will that be later?"

[Ishigreensa]

We might as well get both the clothes and the school supplies at the same time," Brenda said.

[robehouse]

"Special shoes? Aren't my shoes good enough?" Kim wondered.

She waited for Brenda to take her to whatever department she was going to next.

[Ishigreensa]

"Oh, I'm sure your shoes would have been good enough, but a lot of schools these days try to keep their gyms nice by enforcing parents to buy special shoes that are just for gym so that they don't have excess dirt on them, and the bottoms of the shoes are white, honey.

[robehouse]

Kim nodded as Brenda explained about the shoes.

"I hadn't started taking gym class when I was sold. This will be my first time taking gym. " Brenda said.

Kim followed Brenda around the store buying everything she would need for school. It had taken awhile and she started to feel the need to pee again. She didn't want to bother Brenda though, as she should be able to hold it until they left the store.

They were in the store for a while, but finally, they were walking out to the parking lot after getting everything the little girl would need.

"Well, I think it's about time to get you something to eat.

[robehouse]

Kim nodded when Brenda asked if she wanted to go to her work to get something to eat. She didn't ask to use the bathroom as she thought Brenda wanted to eat right away. She followed Brenda out to the car.

It took them about ten minutes to end up in a car pile up.
