A Thought Occured To Me

After doing a search on the AB-DL scene to see if any new sites would come up, an old one popped up - DPF. Out of shits and giggles, I signed on for the first time in a year and just shook my head and closed out as soon as I looked at the adult forums. It's sad to see how far downhill that site has gone. Like many others, that was the first site I found which showed me that I'm not the only one into diapers and whatnot. So much flaming, so much hatred. Did Tommy drop off the face of the earth for all of that to happen? That site has been discredited so much over the year.

DPF wasn't the first ABDL site I ever found, that honor belows to a site called "Diapers At Arnolds". DPF did have an impressive Links pages, and the rating system was cool for a while. Gave their personal ads a try without any luck, and thought about buying one of their movies a few times.

Unfortunately I do believe the site hasn't been updated because Tommy died. Could be wrong, but he wasn't a spring chick.

Too bad the site has gone so down hill. Could've been something really great with some extra care.

This was actually the first site I found, but as far as DPF goes, there was a girl who had a video blog called CNA (concenting nurtured adult) for a while (her name was Kimmy) and she tried to get hold of Tommy. He flat out refused an interview either writted or over the phone and when she bugged him enough it was something to the effect of not caring anymore. I think he finally got tired of maintaing it. Myself, I find this site to be the best anyway. At least the most comfortable to come to.

Someone posted a similar topic to this on the ABDL Story Forum, and someone over there said that Tommy had alzhimers. And he left people running it who weren't AB aware.

Yep DPF was the first one I visited. You would think an even non-ab aware business person

would try and run a good business....

Anyhow over a decade(!) ago a buddy of mine did webhosting off a T1.

He hosted all kinds of sites etc. I can remember he hosted a website

called "TheABZ" which was gone before I thought about looking at it.

I do recall my buddie's comment "diapers?? Why diapers?" to this day...

Warning, this story is *so last century*

Back in '89 (when Fidonet ruled and I had to log on at a baud rate, up hill in the rain, both ways) I found the physical address (in a print publication, forget what now) for the Diaper Pail Fraternity and got on their mailing list. I was surprised, after a divorce and a couple of moves later that, DPF actually continued to try (successfully) to send me their updates via snail-mail. (And yes, it's the same organization, some identifying products haven't changed in 15 years. . .) I never used the site online much, but I'm very sad to see them fall - DPF really was the first; old school, cottage industry networking and outreach via USMAIL because some folks new they weren't alone and wanted the rest of us to know it too. I don't know what happened in the interrim, but I raise my ba-ba high in their honor.

in it's day dpf was a great place......and of the people who have impacted me the most during an important time in my life...many of them i met there.......also i remember the old dpf ads in the porn mags...i was just a kid back then although obviously a not very well behaved one......and seeing the drawing of an adult in a diaper in those ads....really gave me a tiny sense of "i am not alone"....

i used to talk to Tommy now and then...and once asked him for help with something in the forum ...he was definitely very helpful and kind....though he always seemed a lil aloof in chat...

A lot of rumors go around about the dpf site and tommy......some prolly have a few half truths others prolly are totally incorrect...either way though i agree with Sillyfaerie it was quite a feat ...to reach out to those people who were a part of a fetish which most of us din't even know had a name.....

its easy to judge now when all you have to do is type in the word "diaper" in your search tool and voila...you can know a million things about this lifestyle.....but i remember when i was 18....and searching always for any other smidgeon i could find on the topic.........heck i once found a psych book that had about a 2 sentence explanation on infantilism and even though it wasn't flattering.......i had at last found a name for what i was......

i agree that DD is an awesome site...with awesome people....and it's the way of the world for things to evolve and change.....i am thankful for DD....the site care takers here work hard and obviously care very much for DD...........

dpf too....was awesome in its prime....and tommy...whatever has happened to you....be it ill health...or just disenchantment.....this ab/dl girl wishes you well in your life and thanks you for all you've done for her.......

DPF was really great for their party aspect. I remember going to my first party and actually meeting and talking to other ABs. It was so liberating. I was like: I am not alone! Nowadays since DPF is gone there isn't a known party central where anyone can go and get real life contacts and go to real life parties. I miss all that. I think the people who ran the parties got tired of it cause there were some bad apples at every party. Aren't there any ABs that party anymore?
