Alison goes upstairs to comfort Jason. "Don't cry buddy."

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Daddy doesn't love me anymore.

He says in between hard sobs being really hurt by what his father had said.

[justagirl4fun]

"Yes he does. He might not agree with some things you want to do, but he loves you and always do. Just like me...sometimes mommy and daddy fight and don't agree on things, but we still love each other, right?"

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Right.

He says crawling into her lap.

Jason: Why won't daddy let me be me?

[justagirl4fun]

"Because, daddy grew up with a certain idea of how boys are supposed to be, and when you've thought a certain way all your life it can be hard to change your way of thinking. Give it time, he will get used to it."

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: I don't want daddy to always be mad at me. I want him to like me. I don't wanna have fun and stuff if it makes him angry.

I say snuggling up into your chest.

[justagirl4fun]

"How about when daddy's home you do boy stuff, and when he's at work you can do anything you want."

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Okay mimmy

I say calming down to just sniffles

Jason: Mommy, can we just cuddle for a little?

[justagirl4fun]

"Of course we can." Alison held Jason close to her chest and rested her chin on the top of his head.

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: I wish we cuddled more.

He says burying his face into his mothers chest.

[justagirl4fun]

"We can cuddle any time you want. I mean, sometimes I have to get things done around the house and whatnot, but any time you feel like cuddling, just ask, okay?"

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Okay mommy

He says having stopped crying now

Jason: Mommy, do you think Effie wants to play?

[justagirl4fun]

"Do you even have to ask? When does your sister ever

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Okay I'll go play with her.

He says crawling off her lap.

Jason: Can you carry me downstairs?

[justagirl4fun]

"Sure." Alison stood up and carried Jason downstairs, setting him down at the bottom of the stairs. "Okay, you go play. I'm gonna go get dinner started."

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Okay mommy

He says running off to the playroom freezing in his tracks when he sees what his sister is doing.

Jason: Effie, what are you doing?

[justagirl4fun]

"Art," Effie stated, glancing briefly at her brother and returning to her painting.

[Shy-Diapers]

Jason: Ummmmm....Mommy!

He says starting to back away.

Jason: Mommy, come in here!

[justagirl4fun]

Alison put down the ground beef she'd just taken out of the fridge and headed to the playroom. "What is it buddy?" she asked, then stopped dead in her tracks and gasped when she saw what Effie was up to. "Effie Mae! What on earth do you think you're doing?"

Tony gets up from the couch.

Tony: Why is she always /my/ daughter when she's in trouble?

He chuckles from the living room before seeing what she did.

Tony: What's the matter Alison?

"It seems our budding Picasso found our choice in paint colors a little too dull for her liking," Alison said wryly, glad that at least the paints were washable.

[Shy-Diapers]

Tony: What's wrong with that sweety?

He asks scooping Effie up.

Tony: What's the big deal? It's their playroom.

[justagirl4fun]

Effie grinned. "Do you like it daddy?" she asked, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek.

[Shy-Diapers]

Tony chuckles not even caring that his neck is now covered in paint.

Tony: Yes, daddy does like it sweet pea.

He says kissing her forehead.

Tony: Why don't we wash our hands and set the table okay?

He says bringing them to the bathroom.

Tony: Jason why don't you go watch the football game on TV. That'll show you what boys really do.

He says as he turns the water on for Effie.

Jason slowly trudges into the living room and starts to watch the game being bored out of his mind.

Effie scrubbed her hands and followed Tony to the kitchen. "What can I do?" she asked as Tony got four plates out of the cupboard.
