Friend Adding or Lack of permission to add

I noticed something after returning to this site after several years that people can add you as a friend by simply clicking on your profile. I would like to say DailyDi has really done a good job with the look and feel. I noticed basically anyone can add themselves as a friend after reviewing my profile and seeing I had 3 friends which 2 of them I have never since or spoken with. Is there a way in the profile to have to be sent a request to be added as a friend?

Go to your profile and click "Edit my profile" in the upper right hand corner of your profile.
