Kari
Guess we will see how well this goes as I haven't sold on Ebay for quite some time. Here's my first listing... Link to comment
timmyc
Thirty bucks for two diapers? Link to comment
Babyadam_25
Hey. That seems to high for 2 diapers. And How the heck did you get $34 for shipping. That would be for be for like next day shipping. Link to comment
square_duck
Well....it's not like they are making them anymore either....so supply and demand rules are in effect here..what ever the market allows Link to comment

timmyc
and I see there is already one bid so I guess I wrong, the market is there. Link to comment
Kari
I don't plan on overcharging on the shipping. That's just what came up when I was posting it. So if the shipping is about 5+ it's better to overestimate I guess. As for the price, I started @ 24.99 because these are no longer available. And I've never seen them on Ebay before. So apparently someone is willing to pay it. And I hate to part with then for even that. Last night I saw a pack of 18 size 6 Pampers from the late 90's go for nearly $300 + 18 for shipping. It went up 100 bucks in the last couple hours. Link to comment
ItchyTasty
LMFAO that's £7.90 a diaper at the current bid, the OP has to be out of his mind. They are worth about £4 at the MAX, imo. Link to comment
Kari
You forgot shipping. So even though I won't be accepting pounds, for argument sake, I will do the conversion. Assuming shipping cost a fair £7.74/2=£3.87+7.90= £ 11.77 per diaper. (actually looks less in pounds than USD) So if I understand you, ItchyTasty, I should stop this 7 day auction. Even though I have 1 bidder in the first 24 hours and 105 watchers in the first 48 hours. Then tell any interested buyers that since YOU think they are paying too much, I must lower the price. What is a fair price anyway??? (That's rhetorical btw...) It's called capitalism. That's how we do things here in the states. Also, sorry but I wouldn't sell them to you anyway, at any price, since I won't be shipping internationally. Link to comment
square_duck
Evidently someone didn't read my post above...fair market value is what the market allows...what ever that is. It's not up to some person....it's what the market allows....he has a bidder who feels the value is there and is willing to pay the price.....what anyone else things is irrelevant you don't like it, or think it's not priced right, do bid on it...it's that simple. 1 Link to comment
Kari
Being an economics major on D.D.'s (and TV)... What is the real value of adult diapers??? There is PE (polyelthelene) sheeting for the outer "core" part. Ink of some grade and quality for the printing. Fluff made from processed wood fibers, etc. and sodium polyacrylate gel... And YES, I had to look S.P. up. But I DID already know about P.E. Elastic bands for the cuffing and the nonwoven fabric pad to keep it all in. So the true cost to manufacture is pennies. A package of Depends @ $10 or $12 at any store is at a 5-10K percent mark up. I pay about $1.50+ for each ABU SDK that come from China. (not including shipping) Wow, I better QUIT wearing diapers to save money. Or switch to cloth but then there's the cost of hot water, etc... What do I do??? Link to comment

abdl86
Those are NOT old diapers at all, just some diapers made for AB/DL's or bedwetters that are no longer made. Link to comment

ItchyTasty
I WAS being positive actually as you had one crazy bidder, but least for your sake they could have gone.... Link to comment
Kari
Well I decided to close shop on this one. Since I haven't done Ebay for awhile, I had too many errors that couldn't be corrected in an ongoing auction. It was a good learning experience though. I've got more understanding of the new selling process. So the next time, it should run a little smoother. Link to comment
Kari
These are going back on Ebay as soon as dudewheresmyname321 has a chance to sell his @ http://www.ebay.com/...=item2328e06362 Or since I have 4 of the same, I will match price here at $60 for 4 (shipping included) PayPal only pls. If you think that's too much, don't buy them. Link to comment
Kari
Sold them for $15. I'm okay with that. Link to comment
