DarkDragonite Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Hi, im a large woman who's new to this whole thing... I was just wondering if there were any brands that would fit me. i wear a 28 (or 4x) in pants... help?
drynot Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I'm a big guy and I wear sized XL diapers from Bambino or I can also wear sized Large diapers from Abena with no issues. I do recognise the subtle differences between men and women and I realise that your girl hips can make wearing diapers difficult. My wife is a big girl too and can barely fit into my extra large Bambinos. Have you tried on any diapers yet? Quite a few brands have large and extra large sizes that might just do the trick.
Backindiapers Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Large Dry 24/7's are pretty big and so are XLarge Abena's. But those two diapers are not the cheap kind. Get some samples from the different websites to get a feel for them all. Almost all websites have samples. http://www.xpmedical.com/ http://bambinodiapers.com/ http://www.abuniverse.com/ I'm sure others will pipe in with different answers or websites they prefer.
willnotwill Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Google the word "bariatric" in combination with incontinence. A couple of the manufacturers make such.
Repaid1 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I had to google to get a chart conversion but it showed a womans size 28 pant at 52.5" to a 54" at the largest measurement being the hips. Going with Bambinos for a example they rate their largest as XLarge with a max at 61"+ so theoretically they should fit you. Other brands say they go up to 64" in their XL sizes such as Tranquility ATN's and a few others. Bariatric briefs start at 64" to around 90" and are more like extended bands that allow the larger fit. I would suggest you try a sample of Bambinos at 2 for $7.25 shipped. And also Tranquiltys in Xlarge and if you can fit in them ok, then I'd say XL is your size. I don't think your going to like the HUGE Bariactic type ones. Best of luck
drynot Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I definitely don't think she needs the bariatric type ones. That is for some really massive folks...which the OP isn't
