A good way to keep the spam and trackers off your computer is using a program like virtual box (yes, its free). With virtual box and a trial version of windows from Microsoft's Technet, you can make a virtual machine with which to surf the web without harming your actual computer. By the time the trial version runs out, its usually time to make a new virtual anyway. If the virtual machine gets spammed or has a virus, just delete it and start from fresh. Link to comment
