I started wearing diapers about 9 years ago. I got a disease called intercystal cystitis. It causes painful inflammation and spasms in the bladder. It was a struggle to find Tue right diaper in the beginning. Because of the frequent voiding of my bladder, I expelled a lot of urine! Not knowing about better diapers o the internet, I started using Depends. They are terrible. I was changing diapers every 1 or 2 hours, and they leaked. Unhappy, I turned to the internet. I found some great diapers out there. I don't consider myself a diaper lover, but I have grown to like them. I think they are very cute and I don't mind seeing other people in diapers. I don't mind the printed diapers, but my wife has a fear that I might become an AB, so I tend to stay away from them. Of all the diapers I have tried, my favorite is the Abena X-plus. I also use the dry care max. Absorbancy. I would really like to find something between those two. The Abenas need a softer plastic covering, stretcher leg gatherings, and more SAPs. The Dry Cares are just too thick and bulky. I have tried the wellness and the Secure/Bambino, but I am in between their medium and large on sizing. Is there anything that fits those needs? I'm not sure where you shop on the Internet, but I'd recommend XP Medical. The Dry 24/7 diapers might meet your needs. They have plenty of absorbency. However, if you push them to their limit, you'll need suspenders to hold them up. In addition, with all the SAP in them, they expand to about 3" thick. As far as sizing goes, you're far better off going with the larger size if you're between sizes.
