Where Does The Tape Go On A Diaper

Recommended Posts

When taping up an adult diaper does the top tape go above where the padding is or over the padding? whats the proper way ?

Unless there is a 'landing zone' for the tapes, put them where they work best for you ;) That's the only 'right way' because iy needs to fit you :D Everyone else will be a little different, but just as 'right' According to which diaper it is the taping will change  Some tapes go upward, some downward, and some straight across. This pulls the diaper tighter in the direction I need it to be tightest, keeping the legs and waist sealed better :angel_not: It may look a little funny but it works B)

Adult diapers are designed to be discrete, and as such, the top tapes should straight while the bottom ones point downwards at a slight angle.

I do this....

However, if you wish the diaper to fit you in the same proportion as a baby diaper fits a baby (and for it not to leak), use a diaper one size larger. At that stage, place the diaper so the back of it is inline of the small of your back. Then the front (padding) will come high enough to just touch your belly button. With the top tapes, let them point slightly downwards and pull the diaper up in the front. Then with the bottom tapes, let them also point slightly downwards (in the same arc as your legs) to give the tight seal at the leg. Then, fold the excess (at the legs) inside the bottom of the diaper, which will give added protection against leaks. Fold the top ( the bit without padding) inside itself to equal the diaper front and back.
