Abu'S New Diaper...Ugly And Expensive.

I got an email with not only a pic but also prices list of this new diaper due out in June 2011. Its green and ugly and WAAYYYY OVER PRICED!

at 299.99 for a case of 100? Pre order or not that is absolutely absurd. Also....a green diaper with designs and once again tiny bits of pink.

Dont they think there is enough pink and purple on the cushies?

I ordered a case of the super dry kids. I used them as stuffers. ABU has YET to make a diaper that doesnt leak, rip, or is too thin and cheap.

I'll keep investing elsewhere.

I have noticed that about here. I have seen re-runs of threads I have started or took part in, with alomst the same title and all and I have to look to see if my post shows up if it was not a thread that I started but did reply to.

besides whicn, is not green more of a medical color. One of the clothe diaper makers of about 24 years ago made green diapers, I think it was Priva

Seriously, we haven't even actually seen them yet, pics don't tell the whole story. As for the OP ... what the hell are you doing in them? Honestly they are not perfect, on par with other brands, except for the expected differences in aesthetics and fit, as for ripping, the tapes do hold a little too well, but that's what people asked for, so when you take them off they have a tendency to tear ... whoop-di-doo.

Brand bashing without any real input, especially about a product no one here has yet tried (though since they are a rebrand someone in Germany may be able to shed light on some features of the original) so I declare this a failtroll thread.

I'm very interested in this diaper. I would like to be able to order the Cushies, but they are too expensive to ship to Europe (shipping costs + taxes add up a lot).

Because the Buntewindel diaper is sold in Germany, it is a lot cheaper to ship. And it looks a lot like the Cushies, only the one-tape feature is missing.

Check out the tapes and waistband in that picture. Looks awfully similar to a Bambino/Secure. My bet is it's made on the same production line.

If that's true, I don't actually think its as simple as a off-the-shelf product being resold by ABU. The picture you linked has the diaper branded with the company name on the front - I expect ABU will have a version without that branding on for a start, or with it changed. I expect that in most respects they are identical, but keep in mind there may be differences, and where there are differences there are complexities behind them that we probably don't understand yet (or simply don't need to )
