Dont You Hate Having To Keep It A Secret?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure many good thoughts and much good rationale and commentary has been offered.

Maybe it's because I've had 40+ years of coming to grips with and becoming comfortable with my DL side/life/world.

For the life of me, I simply do not nor will I ever understand WHY people feel they have to reveal their diaper urges/desires/needs to someone else who may, or may NOT accept it! And, in the instance that making such revelation simply helps a person lift a great burden of guilt, shame and self-loathing off of their own shoulders - with little consideration of what it might do or mean to someone ELSE or how it might affect them - WHAT does it accomplish? Too, when the revelation is made, it's 50-50 whether it's going to be accepted or rejected. Time after time, I read how someone has faced the rejection, then whines about their revelation and reality BEING rejected!

WHY, unless you plan to live the rest of your life with someone - a significant other - do people feel they need to "come out" to other people? WHY, when people DO come out - and, a lot depends upon HOW the revelation was made - do they get all bent out of shape when such revelation is NOT acceptable to the other person or what their into rejected?

There are a great many expectations in our "community" with trying to rationalize and become comfortable with something that is, for the most part, considered abnormal, if not simply just odd, if not "mainstream". So, we're different. WHO CARES what OTHER PEOPLE think, unless such revelation is going to impact our living situations or economic situations! Thus, revelation needs to be carefully considered and thought out rather than just dumping it into someone else's lap, hoping for the best, and letting THEM deal with it, though WE now feel better because we've "gotten our deep dark secret off our chest".

No. I don't hate having to keep it a secret. I don't HAVE to keep it a secret. I CHOOSE to live my DL side/life/world discreetly. WHO ELSE HAS to know? NOBODY. And, that's the bottom line - for ME.

As for anybody else, it's YOUR life to live. Do what you feel you have to do, but be prepared for the consequences of what you choose...

People don't have to accept anything nor do you have to care if they don't. It's not your house thus you got to play by their rules, either don't get caught or don't indulge until you move out. I chose the first one, I never got caught and moved out before I did.

It's not always possible not to get caught. My mom always caught me, because she's such a snoop and would apparently always search every square inch of the house for no apparent reason. She even managed to find the ones stashed under the extremely heavy cheseter drawers... So, an unhinged snoopy parent could always thwart attempts stash diapers anywhere in or around the house.

The best bet is to just give up on wearing diapers while living at home. That's the only sure-fire way not to get caught.

The best way for a drug dealer to not get caught: don't deal drugs.

The best way for a sexual predator to not get caught: stop molesting people.

The best way for a chronic gambler to stop gambling: don't go to casinos.

The best way for a smoker to not smoke: don't buy cigarettes.

The best way to not get caught by your mother in a diaper: don't wear diapers.

The truth hurts, my friend.
