Looking For A Sign

In this day and age, people are wearing bands to show they're against bullying, support charities etc. So, why not come up with something that shows we wear nappies and are proud of it. Only likeminded people would know. We could have a certain car sticker or a badge. Any suggestions? I'm talking about the UK here, but our international friends could do the same.

I think it's a good idea. Perhaps a teddy bear wearing a diaper could be put on a bumper sticker or small window decal. Why not have an international sign?

I agree that it would be a great idea to have some kind of sign to let others know that we're AB/DL. It would be great way to meet people. The only problem is that it may become too well known. Most of us don't want to advertise to everyone.

For a while now, when I go out, i usually wear i diaper pin somewhere on my clothes. It's just a small thing and it looks pretty innocent to anyone that doesn't know. I think that something like that would be a good sign to other AB/DL's.

I've been thinking about this. Yes, it should be something only us would know. We wouldn't like to be obvious to anyone. How about some very normal car sticker but placed upside down. something like that would be special to us. Any othe ideas?

Thanks for the link. I've had a look. It seems like a good symbol, but it is a bit specialist. My idea is to have something very normal displayed slightly differnent. That way it wouldn't attract unwanted attraction, It would also be readily available. If I put that heart symbol in my car or made it into a badge, people (friends and family) would ask what it was for. We need something so normal that it would pass as a normal thing. We could put a car sticker in the car, but cut the corners off.

It's an interesting symbol. I don't agree that ab/dl is part of the bdsm communtity.

Well the principals are very similiar, they both can involve punishment and spankings. They both have a dominant and a submissive. Also at least one of you wears something special.

Also I agree that symbol can attract attention, and to be honest it looks a bit err well a bit like the gay pride symbol. Not that I care about what gay people do, but I just don't want anyone being confused with me being gay. It needs to lose the heart, it attracts too much attention. It should just be a flag. Maybe a white background, and in the middle have a crocked circle that is blue and purple.

Why not this, giant safety pins, two of them, clip on your belt loops directly at your sides. alot of goths use chains and stuff, no one would think twice if they saw it, and plus they sell giant safety pins at hot topic...

this is a great idea, I hope we can agree on something. I tried to do something like this on a post some time ago on dd1 msn, I got some good responses, but nothing ever came of it. There were too many ideas that people wanted to do with it. We should all make some sort of design, and have a poll about it and vote on it, keeping in mind that everyone is of neutral sex, and it has to be very descrete.

what do you think? My first idea was to simply put a diaper tape on the left rear corner of the bumper, that way it could be easily removed if some one was asked by a friend or a family member

Ok so the first problem I see is that there's more than one idea, the best option would be for everyone who has an idea. To write it down on the board, and then get peoples response on it. After that say the top five could be polled, for about 2 weeks.

And then you can take the idea and run with it.

alrigth, well my idea i'd like to put up is the Safety pins on the sides of your beltloop.

The safety pins/beltloop idea is great. Unfortunately, I almost never wear pants with beltloops - I'm more of a skirt girl! Here's what's great - I actually have a pin that my grandmother left me, it's a piece of costume jewelry. It basically looks like a large diaper pin, with the numbers "911" dangling from the center! I always wondered what it means - as far as I'm concerned, it means "Change me - it's an emergency!!!"

I have an idea which would be discreet and won't cause any real attention. How about putting a paper clip on the collar of your shirt? Maybe paint it white. Not many people will notice it or care about it, but it'll be a good way to spot other ab/dl. Just because if you know what the symbol is you'll spot it out of instinct ;p.
