The gags they used for Paul and Jessica had pacifier nipples. And, apparently Jessica was sucking on hers when it was removed, as it makes a similar pop to what happens if you pull out a pacifier under suction. Link to comment

Well, remember that Lady Jessica is a member of the Bene Gesserit and had the power of "the Voice" which forces males to follow whatever orders are given. The gag was to prevent her from using "the Voice" on the captors... (I've seen the movie over 100 times and consider it one of my top favorites.) Link to comment
