In a similar vein I'm looking to start wearing cloth at the request of my gf, and I just wanna know how I figure out what size towelling squares I need? Any advice on how to work it out?

Measure your waist. Double it. Square it. Divide by two and then take the square root. That will give you a kitefold going around your waist. This chart will show you what I mean.

Waist Nappy size

29-32 36

33-37 42

38-42 48

43-47 54

47+ 60

At the lower waist size the nappy will meet in the middle. At the higher size you will have a gap and it will pin at the sides.

They do terry squares and pull on nappy pants, I have not ordered recently as I'm still using the last 10 terry squares I got from them.

I'm sort of happy that Drylife has stopped trading, the last time I ordered from them it took ages for them to respond, and then only after a poke from E-bay.

The stuff they sold was not the best of quality either.

Drylife used to be owned and ran by an elderly couple and they were a supplier of goods and garments for the medically incontinent, -ie they were not really AB/DL aware. But they offered a good reliable service, selling stuff that was good quality with quick delivery, that was discreet.

The guy that ran Drylife died and his wife for a while did try and keep the company up and running.

But it was apparently more than she could cope with, I got a letter from them many years ago saying that with regret she was winding the company up and thanking me for my custom.

The letter went on to say that she was quite shocked by the letters and phone calls from various people enquiring about nappies and plastic pants and other clothing for fetish wear, as this was never their intension they originally set up to cater for incontinent and disabled people.

After a while the company was sold and I came across the company trading again on the Web, from then the service and quality went on a downward spiral,

Bullens Healthcare is another company I've used for years, they were always quick and reliable and I personally like their plastic pants, for the fit and the price.

Again their products were not the quality they once were and the order times crept up, often needing pokeing by e-mail or a phone call to hurry things up.

I often got the feeling that certain companies just knew who they were dealing with and seemed to thing that most of the fetish crowd would not contact them or complain through the normal channels because they wanted to remain anonamous or were just to shy to take matters further.

But I've never held with this, I am an incon and have always used this as the reason for my purchases and made sure they have know that I was quite prepared to shout loud about bad service and slow delivery times.

As it stands now in the UK things are not very good for the cloth nappy and plastic pants user because the choice of supplier is very restricted within the UK, and if you make purchases from the USA or Europe they are expensive to begin with and then you have to add postage and face the possibility of getting hammered with import tax by H.M. Customs and Excise.

Some diaper selling sites have a sizeing chart. You can check on there for sizes of the diapers; then take an old sheet or towel cut it to that size to see roughly how it fits. I've done it then bought the fabric at the store & cut my own. But remember to add alittle for shrinking when washed.

Dose anyone know what happened to http://www.home-n-dry.co.uk  site is dead  / Bullens Healthcare plastic pants they where the best i found in the uk as they lasted a long time but now i cant find them online or even phoning the company direct  yes i know this is a old thread but only one i could find about bullen's plastic pants
