I'm not affiliated with this guy at all, just happened upon this link one day while googling bored out of my mind.

I know this maybe the wrong forum, but it's popular, and the pics on his site suggest he's a serious craftsman.

WOW! Interesting stuff! I remember thrasherbear from DPF days. I think I remember him saying something about this business, but that was many moons ago. Nice to see it is growing and expanding and he's making it work!

Non of his stuff is cheap...but quality never is, he knows what he;'s doing and providing something to a nitch market means low sales volume, but he's willing to do it anyways, which s cool!

Think I'll book mark his site, never know when he comes up with something you "just have to have'

Better than some of the junk i've seen being sold in the UK for the same price and more expensive.

Wow. Honestly, that's the best crib work I've ever seen... and I sure do adore it... I hope he's still around in five years when I have a house and my own nursery.

The white one on the left from the main page ended up in my nursery. :-) I am very happy with the construction of the crib. The fit and finish was very good. (I understand what he meant when he said that he constructs them so that a gorilla could use them. ) The paint was a little light in some areas, but this was before Thrashbear got his method down, so I'm not too up in arms about it.

If you get the chance to purchase, just be sure that you know what you're looking for, style-wise. I looked at quite a few cribs online to get an idea of what I would like in my own.

Believe me when I say, I'm a little jealous. Still, I gotta ask, how do you pull this off?

I've got a girlfriend but that's besides the point...she knows about my fetish and if it weren't for family/friends it'd prob be doable when we move into a house..

Obviously this kind of thing isn't really possible if you have kids, but how do you guys do this with family or friends?

I mean.. it just seems to me if I had close people over regularly, I couldn't go on having an off-limits room for very long.

How do you manage it?

tbh thats how you'd do it, guests shouldn't be ventureing round the house/apartment anyway, only places they should be allowed is toliet, kitchen and living room. People that go in other areas are just nosy.

I live with my sister atm so things like that wouldn't be doable. However My outfits are in my cuboard with a padlock on the door of it. Everyone knows no one is allowed in there so I keep all my stuff in it.

Puttin a lock on the door of your room is doable too, My other sister has a 3 bed room house and all bed room doors are locked expet for the kids room and even that gets locked when they are at school.

Does it invite curiousity? you bet it does, but unless they are going to break in they aren't going to get in.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to afford a house with a spare room, and probably lie and call it a closet. XD

It was interesting at first - we have a two bedroom condo, and originally it was just a "storage room." Then we converted it into the casino room and had japanese slot machines. It got used 2-3 times in a year if even that. Pretty much after spending most of the time with the door closed, my girl and I finally decided to put it together as a nursery.

Everyone got so used to having the door closed, that by the time we started locking the door it was a non-issue.

Honestly, the less of an issue you make of having a constantly locked door, the less people will care about it. :-)

The only part we have to worry about it making sure to lock the door when company is coming over, and taking down the Winnie the Pooh hanging decoration, which is pretty manageable.
