Better to be mistreated as a child than as an adult. Now to wind down from today's stresses and heart-rendings, I need something to cheer me up, so someone can talk to me like I'm 5.

Before we start - is there an unwritten rule saying that I have to limit my vocabulary like a 5 year old before you talk to me like one? Or can I respond like I usually do, and simply sound like a precocious kid?
