Gonna Be Home Alone For A Few Days

Well, next week I'm gonna have a few days home alone while the family is out of town for a "mini" vacation to the beautiful historic district of Williamsburg, Virginia. The primary purpose of the trip is to walk through the historic sites (yawn) and maybe do some shopping (double yawn) with no time (or money) planned for visiting FUN stuff like King's Dominion or Busch Gardens (which is what *I* would want to do). So I am staying home while the group (consisting of my wife and our daughter, my sister and her twin sons, and our mom) has their little trip (from the afternoon of Sunday the 2nd through the afternoon of Wednesday the 5th).

Anyone have suggestions of inexpensive (since I'm quite limited on funds) things to do in and around the Greensboro and Winston-Salem regions? Maybe a quick meet-up somewhere public (like a mall)? Heck, anyone in the area have suggestions where an out-of-work accountant with a life-long passion for computers/IT can get a new job in either of those fields?
