PampersPete
DISPOSABLE DIAPER SAVES TODDLER Sao Paulo,Brazil(AP)- A disposable diaper saved the life of an 18-month-old boy, breaking his fall from a third-floor window, officials said Thursday. Caua Felipe Massaneiro survived a 30-foot fall because his diaper snagged on a security spike embedded in the concrete wall around his apartment building in Recife. The boy dangled from the spike for a moment, then"the diaper opened and the baby fell to the ground, but at a much slower speed,"a police officer said. Link to comment
Aleia
Cool story. Probably wouldn't work so well for an adult, though. With our weight, the diaper would rip immediately. Link to comment

Heven
Is it weird that I first read that as "18-year-old boy"? Link to comment
lynniehyde
My grandmother used to tell the story of how my female cousin was spared from a 17 story fall in Denver. She had crawled out on my grandmother's penthouse balcony and got the back edge of her diapers and rubber panties caught on the bottom of the railing out there, trying to crawl under. She was half-way over the edge. Thank God for bulky, cloth diapers and rubber panties. My cousin has grown into an articulate, cultured and beautiful woman now. It would have been a tragedy of immense proportion, to lose her that way. Cuddles, --heidilynn Link to comment
