marcus c.
I had a friend, native from paraguay, and he told me, no joke, that at wal-mart in paraguay they make the cashiers wear diapers so they don't have to leave their post. Man if it was like that here would that be the # one job for DL. Link to comment

WallaWalla
There isn't Wal-Mart in Paraguay, and the story isn't about Paraguay either, it's Chile. http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnough...237031620070503 SANTIAGO (Reuters) - Cashiers at Chile's Santa Isabel supermarket chain say their employer is so stingy with their work breaks that they have had to resort to wearing diapers to make it through shifts without getting fired. The union at Santa Isabel, owned by Cencosud, one of Chile's largest chain retailers, said cashiers are not allowed to leave their work stations during their shifts, which last eight hours or longer. "They are not given permission to go to the bathroom and they can't last for so many hours; that's why some have started using diapers or sanitary pads," Marianela Fernandez, president of the Santa Isabel Supermarket workers union, told Reuters. Cencosud said any such incidents would have been isolated. "It is possible that there may have been isolated cases that were not in compliance with the norms and procedures of Santa Isabel," Cencosud said in a statement. "In these instances company policy has been to immediately adopt the appropriate corrective measures." The complaint has been taken up by Chile's largest labor organization, the Central Workers Union, or CUT, which has requested government action in the case. Link to comment
Guest
I don't think anybody should be forced to wear diapers. However, I feel that I should get more pay. I take ONE restroom break for a diaper change on most days, and ZERO cigarette breaks. C'mon! How do co-workers who hit the restroom like 4 5 times a day and half a dozen smoke breaks get the same pay? Maybe I should sit and do nothing till they get back from peeing and smoking! dmavn
here here.. or is it hear hear.. The only thing i hate about diapers at work, is having to stand outside of one of two single bathrooms in our plant with my diaper bag which always seems to have someone in both, while the dozen communal bathrooms are empty. I use diapers in my work commute in a large city. Occasionally stay with them all day. Same problem here with the toilets, so I occasionally find a vacant office to quickly use. Link to comment

aarondiaperboy
Wow, just wow. That is horrible. If this happened in America, people would be outraged. I would never work like that in public. Link to comment
