Two years? that's a joke... Two years for sexually abusing a 4 year old girl? two years and three on probation... damn the law sucks. I mean there's plenty of evidence reading the story that the guy is a hard core child-porn asshole and he gets only two years? Truly hope this will be the VERY WORSE MISERABLE TWO years of his life.

and he maybe will get out after 10 month because he was treated badly - still behaved like a best citizen and agreed to take fucken couselling twice a week... that's how it works.

Well nice to see justice is just as stupid in Switzerland as it is in the UK. In the UK you seem to get a bigger sentence for a petty driving offense than you get for being a drug dealer. That's why we have teenage kids taking guns to school and killing each other.

I'm against the death sentence, but they should bring back full sentences that involve hard labour/chain gangs etc. Under 18's should go to a boot camp. Prison life is too easy now, gyms, computer games, sat TV. I visited Alcatraz a couple of years ago, that's how a prison should be. I would cry if I had to spend a week locked in there, let alone 5 years.

I agree that the fuck should be punished for what he had done to his nese. But he also said he tried to do other exersizes to prevent himself from molesting again. The point I'm trying to make is that there should be centers where a person can get help to deal their shit so no more children are molested. I hope they find a cure for this mental illness.

If diapers weren't entered into the equation, it would not be the news item it is. Much like the Lisa Nowak incident. Unfortunately, for us, our "scene" is still misunderstood by the majority of the general public. So, until there is some education here, this will still be largely looked down upon by them. As I've stated before, there are miscreants in all walks of life. It gives harmless diaper users a bad name. Speaking as someone who spent some time on the wrong side of the law in a former life, and who has paid his debt to society, the general population doesn't take so kindly to child molesters. There is a pecking order in prison and child molester and wife beaters are the scum of the scum. This sub-human will get more rectal trauma than any of us here can even imagine. Even though it will never make right what happened to that little girl, sometimes life needs to be about punishment as the only way of starting to right the past. My heart goes out to the little girl and her family and I hope she gets the help and treatment she needs to get her right again. As for the molester, I hope the rest of his life is just the beginning of his punishment. (In case you haven't guessed, I don't like child molesters.)

There is no help for pedophilia, none that can guarantee that they won't go out and molest again. It isn't even controlled by the pharmacutical castration that they offer to some of them as treatment to keep them from molesting again.

As you can probably tell, I don't believe in the death sentence. This is on moral grounds, but also because I don't consider it to be a deterrent. Look at death row, if state funded murder was truly a deterrent, there would be no death row. You've got to appreciate that many of these people don't care about life and death the way we do, so the threat of a death sentence won't stop them.

The big news here in the UK at the moment is about the capture of the terrorist's (in London) who were planning to blow up 7 airliners, 2 heading for Canada and 5 heading for you guys. What's this got do with sex offenders? Nothing, but once again some people in this country are calling for a return to capital punishment.

You say the only way to stop sex offenders is the death sentence, no it isn't. Locking them in jail until they die will stop them. And make jail hell for them, chain gangs, breaking rocks, the same tasteless slop for dinner day after day. I think most people would prefer a death sentence to that, I think I would.

Another point you make is about them spoiling a child's life and eye for an eye. Well killing them isn't eye for an eye, because once they are dead their suffering is over. It's a get out clause for them!

I totaly agree that we should start getting tough with sex offenders/terrorist's/drug dealers etc, but let's consign the death sentence to the history books where it belongs.

It doesn't matter whether preditors get the death penalty or not, the point is that they should be put away where they can never harm another person again, ever.

Death really is too good for them, but they should be incarcerated until they die. However don't think that they suffer in prison from the other inmates, because child molesters and rapists are kept together in prison, or they would otherwise be harmed or killed by the rest of the prison population.

I've known some people who've spent time in prison. The point is that these people should be shut away where they never again see the light of day.

I agree. I find his actions horrendous and I resent him even being associated with our community.

I also find it very scary that the majority of the posts here have lost sight of the fact that this man is a human being, like everyone else posting here. Suggesting that we kill or harm people only "fuels the fire" and creates more violence where there was less before, and reinforces the notion that criminal justice should be about punishment instead of rehabilitation. Food for thought: About 80% of violent criminals reoffend after being released. You can decide for yourself if our Western ideas of criminal punishment really work. Societally speaking, the justice system serves to remove those from society that are deemed unworthy, not help them become worthy - which, if I am not mistaken, is one of our overriding ideas of community. To help, not harm, right? I'm *not* suggesting we don't subject the man to some kind of societal justice, I think jail time would be appropriate with concurrent psychological intervention.

He is a very mentally ill human being by our Western societal standards, there is no question there, but he is still a human being and deserving of his life and person, as well as a chance to become something different.
