  1. Thanks Glenn for setting this up and getting the ball rolling on the road to a fully organized AB/DL/Littles group in Tristate region. The online and phone meeting was fun, and informative and in my opinion is a great way to get people interested and actively involved in the NJL group. The Powerpoint presentation was great and very informative , and speaking to everybody in the group without having to drive a distance is awesome, look forward to the "Fun Commitee" tom. and looking forward to the pull-up party on the 22nd.
  2. Hey Glenn, My RSVP for the Paramus munch in December
  3. Hey Glenn, Gonna try and make the Morristown Munch this Wed. if I can make it out of work on time, so consider me a probably.
  4. Yup Glenn, you are absolutely correct, Palisades Center Mall is exit 12 off the thruway, two exits before the Tappan Zee, This is an easy ride for anyone coming from NYC or across the bridge, The Palisades Parkway (Road) intersects the Thruway at exit 13, so not too bad of a ride from points in Jersey either, Dave and Busters has food and games, Billiards and more, and is a fun place to eat and play it's on the fourth floor of the Mall, and there should be sufficient parking on a Wednesday Evening.
  5. Hey Glenn, Good to see you active here again. I'm in for the 4th. One suggestion off the top of my head, Dave & Busters. It's not in Northern Jersey, but right over the border in New York, and been under consideration before.
  6. So, the hike this past Sunday was nice, finally got someone else to actually show. Props go out to Jeff_NY for coming up from Jersey and joining me. Our hike was on a stretch of the Long Path trail SEE INFO, running through Long Mountain, and lasted about 2 hours round trip. Was a bit hot out, but got breezy as we got further up the mountain, that plus the trees helped break up the heat. We had an awesome time chatting about various topics from diapers to the everyday. The view up on top of the mountain was great, and enjoying it with a fellow AB/DL made it all the better. I was donning an Attends Classic which surprisingly lasted me through the whole hike, guess I just sweated it out. All in all a fun time, so anyone thinking of joining I plan on posting dates through the summer and beyond, come on out and join in on a great outdoor activity that's both good for you and a fun time with fellow AB/DL/Littles.
  7. June 26th or 27th, Hiking at Harriman State Park, let me know if your interested!
  8. Hey Jeff, Yes! someone new shows some interest, next one should be in the next weekend or two
  9. Hey Glenn, I'm not Central Jersey, but figured I'd throw some ideas in the mix Summertime! Beachs, Barbeques, Boats, Theme Parks (Water Parks ), Pool Party (if anyone has a pool)...
  10. Gonna give a little more advanced notice this time, pending the weather. Planning for a hike on Sat. 5/29/10, those who wanna join are welcome to, email me wetone0071@yahoo.com or send me a message on here for details. Hike will be in the Harriman State Park, NY area. I'm going hiking with or without you, but it sure would be nice to have some company, so send me a message, come on out and join me if you're in the area.
  11. Hey Buggie, No worries, i'll be doing this again in a few weeks, maybe sooner, Have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  12. Hey Glenn, absolutely diapers/plastic/rubber wear of all kinds is welcome, I'll be donning one myself under my sweats, I don't recommend outwardly showing it off as in most of Harriman, you tend to get at least one hiker along the way pass by. Pacifiers, bottles and other ab gear are not strictly prohibited, there is at times enough privacy where you can get away sucking on your baba/binky/sippy cup, but use at your own risk and be ready to tuck it away, when you hear passerby's.
  13. Gonna give a little more advanced notice this time, pending the weather, same instructions as below for Sat. 5/29/10, come on New York, I know you're out there, send me an email if you're even a little interested. ------ So this coming weekend promises to be nice, if it stays that way i'm going hiking on Saturday. That's April 24th. Any AB/DL/Little's who wanna join are welcome to, email me wetone0071@yahoo.com or send me a message on here for details. Hike will be in the Harriman State Park, NY area. I'm going hiking with or without you, but it sure would be nice to have some company, so send me a message, come on out and join me if you're in the area.
  14. RSVP! In for the party, not sure if i'll be able to make dinner.
  15. Since the day promises to be so nice tomorrow, I'm taking the opportunity to get out and hike a bit, anyone wanna join me is welcome to, know it's last second, but if you're free and around, i'd love to have another ab/dl/little to hike with. It's a nice hike with nice views. It's part of the long path trail off of route 6 in Harriman State Park, Palisades Parkway to Route 6, look for as small sign for the long path, for google directions search "Turkey Hill Parking Highland Falls, NY 10928," send me an email on here or wetboy1107@hotmail.com, or catch me on yahoo aim tonight wetone0071, if you wanna join me, and let me know what time you can make it out, I was planning on around 1pm.

  17. Live Life More! Smoke some pot! and don't let opportunities pass you by, too many regrets about that looking back. Oh! Maybe find more opportunities to get put back in diapers to my 6-8 year old self, missed so many chances looking back.
  18. Don't give a poopy diaper about any religious mumbo jumbo, everybody can believe in what they want the way they want.... And Anyways.... The topic at hand, how religion relates to The 12 Month Diaper Program.... Dunno.... And Anyways.... The program seems to have some solid foundations that make sense, the trick is, who can actually commit to using diapers all the time. I mean knowingly going poopies while at a dinner table or a family gathering with no reason of splainin' how you suddenly became incontinent when the smell just suddenly hits everyone and it's clearly coming from you, how do you handle that. Than not to mention at work working on some code, a floor full of people, you work with everyday, see in meetings, who have expectations of you, who you have expectations of, that's your livelihood there, people can take it the wrong way when a smell is just emanating from you and they think its disturbing their workday on a regular basis. Now if I had a logical explanation, some reason I became incontinent, I'd have no problem at all going for it, or with anything I've just mentioned, it would just make them um... poopyheads for not being considerate of someones disability, but without a clearly planned logical explanation to give both the people closest to you and the people you work with, don't think this is really practical for most people's (ab/dl/littles) lives.
  19. While pullups can be convenient for those times you want to be discreet, work, the gym etc. they just can't compete with the holding capacity of a true diaper, I'd never trust a pullup on a road-trip. Plus diapers just simply feel much better wrapped up around me. I would though enjoy some adult sized pullups with the designs that come on their smaller counterparts, they've got them up to goodnites and underjams why stop there.
  20. Well let's see average 2-14 per week, get my diapers at between .25 cents and .50 cents a piece (another bargain hunter here), that's about $100-200 per year and about right for 2009, for disposables that is. I did splurge on some cloth all-in-ones and plastic pants last year.
  21. I'm close enough with some organization and enough to do I'll do the bus/train ride into Manhattan. Let's organize some dates and times. I can't be the one to start Manhattan off, as i'm not that familiar with what's to do, where to go in NYC, but i'm in when it happens. Anyone wanna do a Hudson Valley meet-up, maybe hiking at one of the many area trails (when it gets a little warmer) let me know, i'm familiar with a couple of them.
  22. As always this munch was great. Getting to hang out with other down to earth ab/dl's at these munches has become a monthly event I always look forward to and try to make time for. The food at the Diner was good, and the company made it even better. It is quite an awesome thing when people with ab/dl interests can get together and be themselves around others with similar interests. The conversations are both more interesting and exciting as are the stories and experiences, when shared with people that can appreciate our unique interests. Hanging out at the mall was nice, riding the carousel (mer-horse) with my wet abena and plastic pants under my cargo's was good fun, and walking the mall, chatting and appreciating things with an ab/dl perspective included was great. Anyone thinking of coming out to one of these, but not quite sure, put your reservations aside and be rest assured that decent, non-threatening people are what make these munches/events a success. The more people there are attending these the better they get and the more ideas are shared making the next ones even better. So everybody let's make these gatherings interesting, exciting and memorable, come on out and join in on the fun, so we can really have a local ab/dl group where we can be comfortable being ourselves, meet like minded down to earth people that share our interests and create lasting friendships.
