Didn't happen here.   But I was in Hawthorne NJ (you gotta say as "harthorn" if you're from Joisey) in 1977 when the blackout happened then.   All TV stations went dead and my uncle jokingly said that it was probably a blackout.  Being young and gullible, we had to run out to the front porch and look eastward and sure enough the horizon was completely dark.

I was in the central business district/downtown of my city at the time it happened, I was trying to return a cable box to the cable company, I get there and there is a written closed sign due to power outage, Im heading back into downtown and the main public square was so full of people, I have never seen so many people in one place before.

Taking the train home is no-go due to it being electric powered and I could not for the life of me get on a bus headed in the direction of my place. I ended up going to a friends house in an opposite for the evening which was a good idea as there was battery powered radio and they ended up grilling food so it wouldnt go bad in the freezer.

I went home when things seemed to calm down that night, The power at my place came back on around 8:30 the next morning.

  2. When totallity hit here, tons of people were setting off fireworks and firecrackers, then the sun started coming back out and the geese were going crazy, I would be pissed too if I only had 5 mins of sleep lol.

  3. I am just inside the southern edge of totality, pretty much every emergency management agency in the path is on high alert, like they know something we dont... 😱

  4. Are you bagging up your diapers in the same trash bag you use for other every day stuff?

I try try avoid tossing mine out with my regular trash which could have stuff in it showing my apartment number and name.

We have a trash chute with a compactor but its still easy to get into those compactor bins when they are waiting to be picked up by by the trash company.

  5. If you have time before you are to leave for Japan, try contacting some Japanese or Japanese abdl people on twitter or instagram and hope your google translate does the proper thing.

Some of them may know english, I would send translated first followed by your original english message, make sure to put something in like "original english message" when you send it.

I've had zero luck with most tapes -- masking and duct tapes do not work at all. Packing tape doesn't work either. The stuff I get is supposedly real good but in practice NOT. The only tape that seems to work is the "gorilla" brand. Most of the time I can't get the backing off (it's double sided) and just place it over the tabs to make it a replacement tab. Holy hell getting it off though -- once affixed, not going anywhere ever.

    Good luck.

Try wrapping the packing tape all the way around the diaper so that the end lays on top of the other side of the tape, No sense in covering up a cute printed diaper with a non-see through tape.

So I have a big tummy and love it when the diaper nearly reaches my belly button, but this causes an issue for when I sit down, the top tapes would want to break. The exact tape I posted above works wonders for me and allows me to sit down without worry and the top of the diaper stays close to where it should be.

  7. If its plastic backed with a tape landing zone, I use Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape, I have not had many issues with it and it looks way better than duct tape.

If you are to want to try this, know that not all packaging tapes are made the same.

If its cloth and hook and loop tapes, I just wrap the same tape all the way around me.

I'm curious, is there a reason they prescribed the patch as opposed to pills. I've never used patches so I have no idea how expensive they are but if you have to wait weeks to afford them they sound expensive.

    Hugs,

    Freta

Might have something to do with being overweight, and she wouldnt prescribe that spiroxxxxx(cant remember the name) due to being on blood pressure meds so I was prescribed something else in its place.

  9. Just before December ended, I made an appointment at a local clinic that does trans stuff.

Today I had that appointment, Was prescribed 2 things but I wont be able to pick them up til a few weeks due to the estrogen not being covered by my prescription plan and making sure I have the legal tender to pay for it.

These past 6-7 months have seen me start to lose weight. Last month I had a euphoria about the weight loss and this month I have started to try and walk every day at least 2 miles, since this is snowy winter time, there may be times I cannot walk and I cant just go to a gym(I could) but my walks help contribute to my photography hobby.

There are jokes on the internets about estrogen pills being compared to the candy called Skittles and that the pills can be called Tittles, my estrogen is being prescribed as patches, I shall tall them Tiddy Stickers.

This comes at a possibly bad time where state politics are concerned and the governor is trying to ban trans care for all ages by issuing an executive order(effective immediately...) to get that kind of thing in motion. This was done last Friday, The state house might be overriding that with a vote sometime this week.
