  1. Hmmm. Is what seemed to be such a great idea going to turn out to be not such a great idea... at all?
  2. Well, this discussion is going to be very difficult for Maisie, but we all knew it was coming. For me it will be interesting to hear, as long as Maisie is honest. Mace will be compassionate though whether Maisie sees it that way is still a question. I just don't know what will come of it.
  3. Teen girl sister drama... wonder if Mace is going to follow the rule Julienne quoted...
  4. Nice development, I think. Not anything huge going on, but Still, I wonder if this is a calm before a storm. Maybe the makeup will fall out of Maisie's clothes and Mace will see the makeup... Maybe the makeup will wash off or get rubbed off by he sand and the scars will become obvious... Maisie may end up needing to pee and end up wetting herself...though at the beach that isn't a huge issue...maybe later on? ...so many possibilities
  5. Ahhh, Maisie hates it, but she's learning that even though outfits there are babyish, wearing them and fitting in is better in the long run than fighting things... too much. ...and she thinks it's time for a geography lesson too!
  6. Good chapter. Mace must be pretty pleased that she's beginning to fit in some. She doesn't want to do anything that would earn another punishment (though "purgatory powder"?? maybe not a punishment but a retaliation coming if she follows through with what I assume she'll try...). She asked about skirts and relented quickly after hearing Mace. It's interesting how the culture of this island sometimes causes me to accept, at least initially, some gross inequalities. I'm stepping out on a limb here, but I seriously doubt boys practice their kissing skills with boys. It is assumed that girls need practice to become good kissers, while it seems like guys (like Mace) just take it for granted that they are. And what girl on this crazy island would dare tell a boy they aren't a good kisser?
  7. With all that has happened to Maisie so far in this story, it's hard to believe that it been has only five days! But I think that gives the reader a sense of how overwhelming this is for Maisie. As much as Sugar has tried to create a little space for her, it is still like running into a brick wall at 60 mph.
  8. But the punishment pants - did she put them back on? She'll be checked and even if she managed to get them back on, they'll know she cheated. It'll be more than just 24 hours this time. All the kissing - not to mention the wetting - has her flustered! And of course, Lillikol wouldn't acknowledge gays, lesbians, etc so kids don't have the faintest idea. I feel so bad for Maisie; she's getting the jolt of too much culture shock too quickly.
  9. Nice chapter. It seems like Mace was hitting pretty close to the truth, which clearly upset Maisie. I'm not sure if he knew ahead of time or just sensed from her reaction. Seeing how close he was, there was no sense in pushing it at this point. At any rate, I think we may be finding out about the scars sooner than later.
  10. That was a fun little story! It seems like you could develop more stories about other princess babies and it would be great fun to read about potential boy princesses who end up cuddly baby girls.
  11. Sugar really is walking a tightrope between what she feels is right for Maisie and bending as far as she can to support her new daughter which means giving her time and space to acclimate. Seems like the overnight is pointing to Maisie's past and the scars.
  12. Great chapter! Bras, panties, Lew vs Lyon and Lyon's anger that Lew got along so well with Maisie. Maisie's explanation of gay and trans I thought was as good an explanation as could be given to Lillikolians and of course Lyon couldn't even begin to understand. And I like Scarlet's comments for the most part. Yes, the "I want to be a cow" was a great response for the typical transphobic comment by Lyon. It can't truly be judged as transphobic here though because it doesn't seem that you can hate something/someone for which you have no concept! By our standards, Lyon is a horrible person as Scarlet outlined, but here he's just a typical boy of his age. Perhaps with a bit of a swelled head and arrogant manner. I've got to skip all the sociological comparisons of culture and time period but I'll trust your discussion is right on target. Anyway, it won't affect my enjoyment of the story.
  13. I love Lew as well. I understand there would be no concept for trans in Lillikol, so Lew is all the more outstanding because she isn't afraid to break the binary. Of course 'break the binary' wouldn't be understood there either. There may be a little bit of AB in there but I agree w Sophie that she (Lew) is trans. After all, looking from Maisie's point of view until the girls train out, they all act like little girls. Now I'm curious to see what Maisie is looking for in that shop. I'm guessing whatever it is, especially if Lew buys it for her, she's going to ultimately get in trouble for it. While she's passing through the bra section for adult women I wonder if she's going for panties...
  14. Now the story is getting interesting! Well, it has been, but this punishment is special. 24 hours is going to be a problem for our little Maisie. Her not-date will be interesting enough but with this punishment diaper the entire 24 hours is going to be fun! And it puts her right back at school for her diaper change. And because of that it will be a change, not a release from this one.
  15. We are sure it will! The question is how will she react to that feeling of humiliation? It doesn't seem like she has a chance at maintaining the rebelliousness but neither does it seem likely that she'll just start accepting not only wearing diapers but using them. And I'm still waiting for the scars to be discovered. I'm sure it will come in its time.
  16. Will she be able to deal with and expect the reactions she's going to get? What if Lyon really likes her but quietly for her mainland style, her defiance and strength (seeming strength)? Gosh I hope the funeral is at least well attended!
  17. I'm eager to see exactly what does happen and why.
  18. Fuck, fuck, fuck indeed! I know she didn't mean it that way and it hasn't been all that long she's been here so I think it's still hard to understand the culture let alone the subtleties and the sensitivities of her new family. Julienne risked to get the makeup and Maisie trashes her. More importantly, I suspect Lyon's brother is trans and so a new sister; this would explain the bra fitting and diapers. But I never seem to guess right in Sophie/Pudding stories. So here's something else to get wrong. The scars are somehow related to diapers and a major though not sole reason she's so adamant about not wearing diapers.
  19. Just hangin' around, waitin' to see what she comes up with. Then I'll wait to see how those girls escalate. I have to agree with Kodi; she shouldn't be messing with these girls... ooo... poor choice of words?
  20. No theories from me today. She still doesn't get this society yet, but I know I don't either. And with the scars and now bra shopping - not a date - there's plenty of suspense. I'm just waiting for some sort of reveal.
  21. Ugh! Of course! I'm reading too many different stories concurrently. Maisie could use some help too, but that is, literally, another story!
  22. uh oh... that sounds ominous! And I started thinking he could get his surgery, be freed, kidnap Maisie and leave with her. Sigh...
