About Me

former thumbsucking diapered bedwetter, current thumbsucking diaper enthusiast. I experience severe bowel urgency after a long ago surgery. Difficult at times but liking to use diapers has helped. I would describe myself as functionally incontinent in that when I have to go, I have to GO NOW. After too many accidents to mention, wearing diapers nearly 24/7 became the logical move. I "air out" my skin often and will use a suppository (like in a bowel program) to clean myself out from time to time so I'm as empty as I can get. This allows for a some time out of diapers. Lets face it. Wearing diapers all the time can be very inconvenient. Every once in a while the urgency goes away and I'm able to go diaper free for a week or two at a time. The surgery was for diverticulosis (little outward pockets that can catch small particles of undigested food (like seeds or corn etc.). The diverticulum (small pockets) can then become infected or in a worse case scenario, perferate and cause sepsis. After a few times in the hospital (for a week at a time with nothing by mouth and on a cipro drip), I had surgery electively. They removed about a foot of my large colon. That's when the severe urgency started. The doctors told me that this problem presents in a small number of patients and goes away over time. Bullshit! My surgery was over 25 years ago and I'm no better. At first my BM's were on the loose side. I was told to use a bulk producing fiber supplement. I have been eating a very healthy diet and using Metamucil ever since. The loose poop went away and I now have well formed, semi soft, large BM's several times a day. My transition back to diapers was easier since I spent so much of my youth in diapers for bedwetting.Still, there are days I just hate it. When I'm in an ab/dl mood, it's still a thrill. As for the rest of my life, I owned my own business which I sold and then retired at 56. I live on a lake nw of chicago in lake county and enjoy it. I'm active most days. I love to kayak, play golf and use the health club here in town regularly. I love to read and go to the library frequently. I travel a bit but it's mostly a hassle (having to lug diapers everywhere). Having to wear diapers most of the time is not something I would wish on anyone. It can and is fun at times. I have gone weeks at a time in "little boy" mode and enjoyed it completely. I use dry 24/7 disposables with plastic pants. When i'm going to be out of the house for a long time (and at night) I will poke a bunch of holes with a pin in the disposable and put on a pull up cloth diaper (Babykins model 10700) under plastic pants. In effect, my dry 24/7 disposable becomes my "diaper liner", keeping poop off my cloth pull up and plastic pants. Yes, it's a thick combination of diapers but I dress right and few know. I also use Desitin (zinc oxide) for rashes and Nullo for reducing odors. I hate to change in public so good protection lets me have the freedom to wait until I feel like going home. It did take a while to get used to having a load in my diapers for prolonged periods but over the years it's not a big deal anymore. I can feel theBM pile up but after that I hardly notice. I do keep a diaper bag in my car but it's rarely used. I'm still a diaper enthusiast and do enjoy it but the severe urgency can be very uncomfortable. At release comes relief and sometimes some fun. I'm secure and content. I don't advertise my diapers but if someone does notice I really don't care. I'm urge incontinent and I own it.
